Pretty Good Experience and Great Result! I booked here cause it's close to home and I wanted to get my nails done - I made an appointment day of online and they had openings which is always nice. When I got there they let me pick my colors and I was sat right away. The first woman I saw didn't think she could do the design so after a few minutes of talking they decided that the girl would do the natural base and then Peter would do the design which ended up looking amazing. At first I thought they were gonna say no to the design - which they almost did - but since Peter had time they made it work which was nice but a little anxiety inducing for a second there. It was worth it in the end and I absolutely love the product. Peter was amazing I definitely recommend going to him if possible. It's been three weeks and they still look amazing, I'll definitely go there again - just expect to have your main design and backups ready. if you need a quick appt. and are okay with going to a smaller salon and talking a bit more then this is the place for you. no complaints so far! :) read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would. My appointment was at 12:30. I sat and waited. At 1 o'clock a white woman walks in and says. She has an appointment for 1 o'clock. They took her back and started on her right away. I said nothing, but waited another 10 minutes. After waiting 40 minutes I explained that I had to leave and wouldn't be waiting around any longer. I was not loud, I did not cause a scene. They never apologize or said give me just a few minutes....nothing. They just looked at me like "bye." Their racism was blatant. If you're black and you're reading this please find somewhere else to spend your money. I will never set foot in this place ever again. I have a lot of family and friends that get their nails done with V Nails and I will make sure they know about today's visit and to spend their dollars at a salon that appreciates their business. I went into v nails to get a full set done I also wanted coffin shape, I picked out chrome for my color. Before I went I checked their prices online full set was $45 dollars I got charged $65. This was by far the worst place I've been to get my nails done. It took 3 hours! You would think spending that long would have been perfectly done. I've been coming here for almost 3 years and this will be the last. Iam very disgusted with the look of my nails. I didnt notice the dents and the lumps until I got to my car and by that time I was devastated to even go back in. All I wanted to do was cry. I will not be returning unless they fix all my nails and will not recommend them to any of my friends or family. read more

Last Sunday I was looking for a nail salon close to my home & I called V-Nails & made an appointment. They have a self-serve temperature taking device with hand sanitizer outside before you come in- that was nice but the inside was not clean at all. They tried to up sell me on everything, the nail tech did not know what I was saying when I tried to tell her about my foot injury. A VERY mediocre place that was not clean & my nail tech could not understand me. Not going back. read more

Ever since relocating back from Atlanta I've been looking for a good place on the east side to get a pedicure and I'm glad I chose to go to this little gem on the the North side! I came in an hour before close. I saw Shawn and I walked in without an appointment and was seen right away. There were a lot of polishes to choose from and they had a decent OPI selection which is always a plus. Don't be put off by the ambiance-this is a NICE place! I was seated in a nice chair with a clean bowl-they have the plastic wraps for the pedicure bowls and I love that! The water was warm, a perfect temperature and the massage chair worked. Shawn helped me into the chair and set the massage to my liking-he was VERY helpful the entire visit. What I liked most is that he paid very close attention to detail and he was gentle. Everything is sanitized and clean. They offer you beverages, hint that you want vino and you may get some *hint hint* they give you a bag of goodies (buffers, nail shapers, whatever you want to call it) to come back with so that it's only used on you. Shawn is from TX and recently took over the shop in the last month. You may want to disregard the previous negative reviews because this place is under new management and I have a feeling they are going to take over the north east side nail business! This is the worst, overpriced manicure/pedicure that I have ever received. I used to love V Nails but they are under new ownership. I received a manicure and pedicure with no nail polish and my nails looked terrible afterward. The shaping/filing was rigid and uneven on both my feet and hands. When I asked for this to be corrected, the man doing my nails filed them for another minute or so but they still looked horrible and it became clear to me that he wasn't going to correct them to my liking. Then they charged me $55 for no nail polish. The entire appointment took 30 minutes. I had to go home and re-file my nails afterward. I feel like I threw $55 (plus 20% tip) in the trash. I'd recommend V-nails based on my experience with a Shellac manicure. One nice thing about them is that they're open on Sundays. The staff was very friendly; I chatted with the owner, who did my nails, the whole time. Their prices are reasonable ($30 for shellac). I will definitely be going back! read more

went for a mani and pedi. i appreciate the job well done by the girl, and i like my white tip look. however i was charged $75 and do not agree with the price, factoring that it was regular polish on my own nails, no stones were used to add to my experience, lack of water fountain and chandelier in other salons (if youre going to go there with that $$), & my nails are starting to chip within a week. i highly recommend this place to re-structure this price point for a mani-pedi with white tip. i will not be going back. read more

This place is awful. I got a full set and a pedicure. The pedicure station was not clean AT ALL. I felt anxious sitting down since where you put your feet AND the chairs were dirty. Thank god I hadn't shaved my legs before hand. Their nail polish SUCKS. It NEVER dried even though I was under a their drying system for 20 minutes. Almost every finger smudged or got chipped within an hour of me leaving. So I went back and chose a new color because I gave them the benefit of the doubt. That one didn't smudge as much BUT 2 nails popped clean off a week later like I glued them on myself with Sally Hansen press on nails... So I had to get them fixed somewhere else. the woman who fixed them had to fix 2 more which were on their way to popping off as well. The ONLY thing I could say was a positive was she did shape my nails nicely, but any nail tech should be able do that so I guess I'm grasping at straws here read more

FYI, they make you buy the nail filer and nail bluffer for $1! Lol not a big deal but the need to let customers know first! They also don't have set prices they just make it up as they go! My nails turned out ok. He filed the glue off my skin to hard and made me bleed. I told him but he really didn't understand me. He painted 3 coats of polish on my fingers one after another and it took forever to dry so I left after sitting there for 15 mins waiting for them to dry in the end I went home and painted them myself! read more

Not bad. This place is right by Savaduskies and Frugal Muse. We walked in a half hour before closing on a saturday and they took three of us, while we were getting our nails done, atleast 5 others walked in. They never turned anyone down, even though the last two people walked in at 5 to close. Must be good. It wasn't exceptionally cheap but it was reasonable. We all got acrylics and they found a way to charge each one of us an extra $5 for some reason but still reasonably priced. The people were friendly; spoke broken english. One lady in particular joked around with customers and seemed to know a few by name, which shows they care. read more

I've been to V Nails twice now and have been very satisfied with their service. Their gel mani is $30, which is average around the area. I was impressed with the lady that did my gel mani; she was very meticulous and did not rush through the whole process. The pedicure was very relaxing. Yelpers complained that they had to wait but I never had to when I made an appointment prior to arriving. It is tuck inside a mall and hidden in a corner next to the auto store. Appointment was made on Saturday, June 25th for service today July 1st with Peter. Confirmation attached. I arrived even before the person who made an appointment on June 30th and was denied service because the "system" had an error and didn't show my appointment on HIS schedule. Unfortunately, I couldn't come back later as this was the time I reserved for service before leaving town. He offered a later time and the other person was willing to come back then he told us both no because he would be behind. I walk out and then decided to walk back in the nail salon and she is NOW seated AND getting serviced!!!! I am devastated......the black girl who made an appt a week ago still got bumped for the white girl that made an appointment yesterday....so I the black girl have to take the hit on your system but she couldn't, especially when she was actually willing?!?!? Peter clearly didn't want to do my service and that is discrimination at its finest!!! read more

The owner was able to get me in the same day I called for an acrylic fill and the prices are the cheapest I have found in the area, but the quality was awful. I have been getting fills for a while now so I've recognized the process, and I'm almost positive he skipped a couple steps. My nails we're chipping and falling off after a week. Save yourself the time and DO NOT GO HERE!! Horrible customer service and horrible nails. I have been getting Dip Powder on my nails for 2 years and have never had an issue. I got a pedicure and powder dip. During the appointment they where sloppy, rough and rude. I had to MULTIPLE times ask them to fix things and received rude remarks in return. Not only to mention how disrespectfully they treated the other customers in the salon as well. I witnessed the owner simply refuse a customer because he "didn't want to do it for them". After I left the salon the following day, all of my nails started peeling off and they where lumpy and bumpy on EVERY nail. I called one day after my service to request a refund and express my disappointment in the service. In return I got cussed out and hung up on. I wasted 70 dollars on nails I am going to have to get re-done after ONE DAY. Save your money and do not go here!!! Not only to mention they are so cheep they will give you the nail buffer and file they used on your nails to take home that they require you bring it back for the next appointment!! Who does that?!?! Also they have basically all the lights turned off, you can hardly even read a magazine while getting your nails done. Clearly they are trying to get over and save money where they can for money!!!! read more

Very talkative and comfortable. Couldn't ask for nicer service. Shasha did my Shellac manicure. Also very friendly and I highly recommend asking for her by name. Sweet and nice as can be. Shasha couldn't have been lovelier and more professional. Aside from the amazing service, I was surprised at the very high tech pedicure chairs. Very roomy. I was offered bottled water but I declined because I wasn't thirsty. There are two huge TVs and I got really involved in the Food Network show during my pedicure, until Henry started massaging my legs. I'd like to give this a better review, as the staff was nice, and it's a pleasant atmosphere. I'd been here a couple times over the summer for pedis which were fine, but I understand it's under new management since then. I went for a walk in mani and got in without delay. He did a nice job filing and shaping. But then seemed to put the polish on much thicker than I expected. Sat me under a hand dryer thing that blew cold air and froze my hands for 15 minutes and the polish never did seem to harden. Ended up smudging them trying to get at my credit card ( why didn't he have me pay first??) and then he tried to doctor up the mess by covering it with more polish....long story short, I came home and removed the polish and will have to do them over myself. Pretty expensive for a nail shaping in my book. read more
