As October approaches, look for pumpkins and gourds, the opening of the corn maze, and the spooky fun decorations. Minnetonka and St. Louis Park are the closest to me. The flowers are healthy and beautiful! They have unique basket arrangements. They have fresh produce too! Tomatoes, strawberries and corn are so fresh and delicious! The employees are cheerful, knowledgeable, and helpful. It's not cheap but I can assure you it is quality! They take credit cards too.

And they are also selling egg rolls! Both turkey and vegetarian options. I recommend you get them to go as they needed to be rewarmed. Very good and it comes with a dipping sauce. All this market lacks is bread supplier. There was a small bakery stall selling rolls but they were already sold out by the time we arrived. If you live in the Western suburbs there is no reason to drive far for fresh produce. The market is Saturdays only from 9 to 1.

This is so small it's more of a farmstand than a farmers' market, but it's still nice to browse if you're into that kind of thing. There was one meat purveyor, one stand for Great Harvest Bread Co. in Minnetonka that handed out delicious and massive samples of bread (that suckered me into some impulse buying) and a stand with homemade soaps. Everyone else sold produce. No array of crafts, jewelry and clothes at this market. The other nice thing is that the produce appeared to be truly locally-grown produce (in contrast to the pineapple vendors at the downtown Minneapolis market). I do know that Mike's Sweet Corn is grown just a mile or so away. It's fun to visit, but I wouldn't count on buying any serious veggies here.

It's near downtown Excelsior located at a church. It's an OK farmers market but not enough fruits and veggies for me. There was only 1 veggie vendor with just a couple of items. The rest of the vendors were an odd mix, candle's, jewelry, soap, lamb skin, kettle corn, etc. Real odd mix, I probably won't return.

I was a bit surprised to see that this was just confined to the hardware stores parking lot. We probably walked the entire thing in less than 10 minutes. Some vendors had sold out of product and were packing up as we arrived which is amazing for them. They had a bit of everything as far as vendors, arts, crafts, jewelry, meat, food, veggies and such. Not as exciting as others posted about years ago but nice enough for a smaller neighborhood market.
