I did not think much of it because this was the first time I had gone to H&R block and had someone I did not know do my taxes. I left the store, was looking over it and realized something was not adding up. I went back in, had the accountant look over it and realized she had made A MAJOR MISTAKE. Her name was TERRY, older lady. I had her go back over it, and found out that she had used SOMEONE ELSES TAX INFORMATION. This was a whole different person- different social security number. She tried to play if off as "I was not able to read it very well", this was the paper you had given me to print off (why would I have someone else's tax information and want to owe more money?) It did not make sense at all. She did not take any accountability (taking advantage of me). Turns out after she took the OTHER PERSONS tax info out, I only ended up owing $121. That's a huge difference. I went to a more professional H&R Block to have them check to make sure the previous location I went to did not screw me over AGAIN. I constantly called and talked to the "manager" MANNY for over a few months and nothing got completed. I went back in to talk to MANNY in person to try and get the $315 I paid for back, because they made a MAJOR mistake. This is their policy "H&R Block's policy on mistakes is covered by its guarantees, which vary depending on how you file your taxes. For errors made by an H&R Block tax professional, the company will cover penalties and interest, refund your tax preparation fee, and file an amended return for free.  They did re- file it for free but refused to give me back the money I paid them to do my taxes, not holding up to their policy. MANNY was very rude, did not care about my situation, and very unprofessional. Trying to say it was my fault that I made the mistake and signed it when they violated someone else privacy, by inserting someone else's tax information onto mine. I paid for a service to be done because they are "experts", that is their job, not to supervise them! I also contacted corporate and spoke to the district manager of Kissimmee. She claimed she filed a report to the escalation team. I waited and waited to hear back from them. Called her back, lots of times to find out what was going on, and she refused to answer for weeks and weeks. Finally, after 3 months or so I was finally able to get ahold of someone, her name was Sharon and she was super helpful, apologized, and refunded my money back. All I wanted was for them to take accountability for the mistake they made and to refund me the money back I paid them to do my taxes. Now I cannot speak for other locations but I will never come back to this location and honestly, probably will never use H&R block ever again. Unless you want someone to make a MAJOR mistake on your taxes, not take accountability and then not care about it, I recommend not to go to this location.
