A couple of months ago, my husband and I went in looking for a home with no knowlege of what we wanted or what Atchafalaya Homes had to offer. When I tell you, we were so blessed to get Ron Foster as a saleman, is an understatment. He went over and beyond to tranform (for weeks) a beautiful custom modular home. When the plan fell through (Decision on our part) Ron was so understanding and assured us that if we ever needed his help, that knew where to find him. My experience with Atchafalaya Homes has been extremely disappointing. The company is currently refusing to complete the installation of skirting that was included in and paid for as part of my home package, unless I sign off on a "land improvement" form. I am unwilling to do so because the land improvements were not completed to an acceptable standard. Less than three months after installation, the home pad is already deteriorating. My driveway, which is less than two months old, is eroding and was not properly constructed. Gravel was simply dumped without proper preparation, leveling, or compaction, and no landscape fabric was installed. As a result, I have gotten stuck in my own driveway three times and am now paying out of pocket to have it repaired after living here for only a month. In addition, construction debris was left scattered throughout the property instead of being removed, leaving the property looking neglected. I have also experienced septic system issues, and several promised corrective actions were never completed. The land was supposedly bush-hogged, but the work was not finished, and despite being told someone would return to address it, that never happened. When I contacted the company regarding these concerns, I received little assistance. A service crew came out once, complained about being there late, did not complete the repairs, and left. I have photographs, text messages, and documentation supporting these issues. I regret choosing this company. There are many mobile home dealers available, and based on my experience, I would strongly encourage prospective buyers to do extensive research before signing any contracts. I will not be using this company again in the future and cannot recommend them to others. read more

Found a home I liked, approved for mortgage, put down payment down. They cashed my down payment check before we even signed paperwork. Contract has been in office. 4 days later Met with Lynn this morning and got all paperwork signed, permits pulled, so now waiting on delivery. Moved another star up! After going there for like 5 times, my son finally found the one he wanted. The house originally was 110,000.00 and it was written on the paper. Two weeks later we went to run credit information and we were told that that same house was now at 120,000.00. Sales person gave us some numbers of how much the house would be. She stated with his down payment and land the notes would be around $655.00. She did everything that she could to convince my son to run his credit, which he did because we felt that we could trust this sales person. How wrong we were. On Monday the back calls to tell him the note on that house would be $1135.00. Wow right!!!. $480.00 dollar difference. So I pull out a mortgage calculator to figure out how the bank came out with that note. It looks like they (Atchafalaya) marked the house at 165,000.00 to sent the information to the bank. LIES ALL LIES.... I call to speak to the manager and she informs me that she is sorry that we were given false information and the best she can do is $950.00 per month. Put a stop payment on that check and told them to kiss it. This is not the first time they have done this, as I am also finding other people they did the same thing to. Keep your money away from them and find someone that is willing to work with you and not take everything you have. read more

DONT I REPEAT DONT BUY ANY HOME AT THERE ATCHFALYA REPO DEPOT!!!!!!!!!!!! First we bought our house we only enjoyed it for about a month until we noticed leaks and problems everywhere they got us good me and my husband are young couple with two small kids!! So we got bambuzzled from being naive they claimed when signing the contract if you have any major problems call us ! We didn't get that in writing so I'm sure that they are protected but, they wait till you sign the contract than f*** you over we found mold in the master bedroom we called got dodged phone calls no answer very bad customer service!!!! Well needless to say we are having to get it fixed( than tonight I went in my daughters room they had mold under her dresser, mold all over the carpet so I'm having to move my two kids in the room with us more money!!!!!! We are spending more money on a house that isn't even worth the value of the house( we can't sell it we won't make any money doing that for the simple fact that we haven't even been paying it off for a year yet !!!!!!!Don't go here unless you want to get ripped off!!!!!!!!!!And some Of the five star reviews from google are from people who work here!!!!!Don't fall for the trickery!!!!!!!! The proof is in the water leaks in the walls!!!!!!!Also it's funny how you can't make a review on Facebook too makes me wonder what they are trying to hide there??? read more

They are very helpful, and listen to your wants and needs. They try their best to get you in a home, and wont stop until they will!

Horrible customer service! It is nearly impossible to get in touch with anybody. It has been almost 9 months since I bought my house from them and I still have repair issues. This is after it took them months just to finish setting up my house. (Bought in July and didn't get to move in until mid October) in a still unfinished home. They have been back twice already and haven't fixed everything yet. Still waiting for them to "order parts" and come back for a third (hopefully final!) visit. I have even been told that some of the damages are not going to be repaired. So I will most likely have to pay out of pocket for the expenses. It's like they really don't care about their customers after they make the sale. I would not recommend anybody by from them. I wish I could go back and tell myself to pay more and buy from somewhere else. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!!! read more
