The yarn shop was larger than I expected and I purchased a lot more yarn here, than at the crowded festival. I even bought some awesome fluffy pom-poms at a reasonable price. No Sugar is about not being about all the pop cultures splashes and instead brings classy (often European) designers that you can't find in many stores to the Village of Rhinebeck. My husband and I visited Hummingbird Jewelers earlier today, as they have a large selection of…read morejewelry. I was immediately approached by a saleswoman who asked if I was looking for something specific. I told her that I was simply browsing and started to check out one of the jewelry cases. Within seconds, I was approached by another salesperson who said I looked like I needed assistance - I told her not yet, I didn't want any help. Then a third saleswoman walked up to me, despite the fact that she saw me turn the first two ladies away. One of the same women then approached my husband, who tried to ignore her. We looked at each other and walked out of the shop. The salespeople probably work on commission which would explain their aggressive behavior, but high pressure sales tactics are a big turn-off. No wonder the shop was empty.
