They answered the phone quickly enough and quoted me their economic price of $25.00 which made me very happy. I went over right away because they said that they do not take appointments, it is a first come first served system. Parking is available in the back but is very very limited. Street metered parking is also available. I was greeted in a very friendly way and asked to write my name down on the register. There was only one person in front of me so I went across the street to have a café con leche in the meantime. When making that they were ready for me. There may even get my manicure and pedicure or was very nice and very professional. Her name was Azucena. She took her time to carefully trim my cuticles and my manicure came a perfect. She was also very detailed with my pedicure and gave me a nice massage with a scrub. The best part is that this salon offers Sally Hansen Miracle Gel enamel at an extra $5 charge so you know you your mani and pedi will last. This is a simple place without any frills. Another poster stated that they throw out the dirty water from the previous pedi where they do they shampoo your hair. What they actually do is toss the water out in the bathroom and then wash the foot basin at the shampoo station. They should not do that in my opinion since they use chemicals to clean the basin and I suppose they can end up in your hair unless you ask them to carefully rinse out the shampoo station prior to your use. Other than that, I will definitely return. I was grateful for the economic price and polite demeanor of the staff. I appreciated that there wasn't loud annoying music as well. There were 3 young children making lots of noise but I was able to find a corner in the back of the salon where I could sit and relax. (I will never understand why parents bring their children to beauty salons). I prefer the first come first served appointment policy since its one less thing to worry about in terms of making sure I am on time. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars is because I think they should have at least water available for patrons.

Patience is not my virtue and I'm sure many can relate to the frustration of not having what you paid for, but to keep the Mrs. Happy, I keep my mouth shut and decided to just let it go. The next day, it kicked in and I couldn't move my forehead or make those lines around my eyes. It has now been almost 5 months since I had it done and I can still see the effect and I'm going to continue doing it. Heck, I might even try some laser hair removal one of these days. Even though I am happy with the outcome of the Botox, my review is to applaud Avalon Medical Spa on their customer service. About a week after the appointment, Julia called to follow up and see if I had any questions or concerns. And just yesterday I received another call. She said she knew I lived out of town and couldn't come in again, but offered to take some time to find a good doctor in my area and send him my treatment records to make sure i received the same results and thank me again for coming in. I asked if their calls were recorded; she said yes. So I told her to go listen to the call where she sold me the package -- January 8th, 2025 between 5-6 PM. She said she and her manager would review it and call me back. They never did. No apology. No explanation. No solution. They also refused to share the recording. I asked if I'd be able to hear it once they found it. She said no. At this point it's pretty clear: do not get tattoo removal here. They mislead people, they dodge accountability, and the machines look like they belong in a museum. Please learn from my experience and avoid getting scammed.

Having recently moved to Miami I have heard horror stories about injectors. I am very relieved Dr Calderon is not one of those stories. His aesthetic is natural and prefers to do a little at a time and for you to come back then he to do too much. In my experience this conservative, and calm, approach is a sign of a superb injector. Also, he explains EVERYTHING... from the science behind the product, to the anatomy of the injection site, to his injection technique... he will go into great detail and doesn't rush through the appointment. This is truly not common! My other concern with being injected in Miami was that my aesthetic is not the typical Miami one. Dr Calderon not only honors the patient's preferred aesthetic but his own aesthetic preferences reflect a conservative style. So if you are looking for a more NY/European look rather than a Miami one... speak to Dr Calderon!
