I only started this review as I saw this Yelp site, but really the review is more about the Advocate Medical Group housed here (and they have their own Yelp review site). There's not much more to say about the facility itself except it's convenient with good hours, and has a big convenient parking lot that is often filled! Our PCP, Dr. Ellen Aleksandrovich, is the best and she is very competent, caring, communicative, proactive, and empathetic to the patient's needs. Their systems also work great and responsively without long waits - systems meaning phone calls or messages, their PA staff, their website which is used for both medical info storage as well as messaging, their billing and payments system, their appointment scheduling, their lab appointments system and staff, etc. They also have several specialists based here that we see, and they have the same support system. We routinely get bloodwork and sometimes imaging done here. They are part of the Advocate Medical Group and in turn associated directly with the excellent Advocate Lutheran General Hospital nearby. In our experience, it's a big thumbs up for Nesset Pavillion and the Advocate Medical Group staff here.

I would just as soon take none of these drugs (I mean I'm not even getting high from them ) As it turns out its been over 1 year since my last physical so I figured I might as well have the tests done. I guess the fact that I have insurance they figured out they might as well order everything deluxe and do Lab Tests, EKG, Ultrasound (Am I pregnant ?). Anyway 2 hrs seems a bit excessive. The attending resident doctor did a very good job and was very through, but the front desk staff leaves a lot to be desired. When I arrived the girl asked me if I could hold on for a minute. I waited for about 5 minutes and finally realized there were a couple of other people that could have checked me in. When I left there were only 2 people. As I walked out the first person just walked away and didn't say anything so I checked out with the other person.

This was unsettling on its own, but she also used coercive language, framing it as though the owner had personally selected her for me, implying I should follow her. Strange and unprofessional. The second therapist seemed disorganized and, frankly, not particularly skilled. During one session, there was a two-minute pause while she shuffled between two separate documents, repeatedly saying out loud, "I'm just trying to figure out which one I need" -- which, on its own, is fine, but over time it introduced real doubt about whether the person meant to be helping me actually knew what she was doing. That same therapist later forgot an entire conversation we'd had the week prior, and when I brought it up, she made me feel foolish -- saying something to the effect of, "How could you have discussed that with me? It hadn't even happened yet." I let it go in the moment to avoid the back-and-forth, but the second I walked out I checked my phone and found a text I had sent to my wife that same week, directly referencing that conversation. It wasn't just that she'd forgotten -- it was that she looked at me like I was imagining things, and later cited the moment as evidence of me being "activated." There are a lot of therapists out there. I will be looking at other practice groups for my next therapist because I just have not had good luck here.

Bathrooms are always locked and require staff to open. There are prison style beds and prison style toilets. Patients are required to eat in the same spot for each meal. There is no access to the outside unless on a patient "walk" accompanied by staff. Everything is closely monitored including conversations with other patients. This is not a facility for individuals with addiction or alcoholism. This is a psychiatric facility for people that have bi-polar, suicidal ideations, etc. Go elsewhere.

Our meetings were short (15-20 minutes at most) and felt more like a way to bill me rather than provide real support. When the medication he prescribed wasn't working for me, I stopped taking it - but instead of discussing alternative solutions, he threatened to drop me as a client for not informing him first. Rather than working with me to find the right treatment, he made me feel unheard and unsupported. Thankfully, I've since found a real ADHD specialist who actually listens and provides meaningful help--no gimmicks, no pointless conversations, and no pressure. If you're looking for real ADHD care, I strongly recommend going elsewhere. ---- Sent me a bill for 100$ fee after 4 months of no services... with no description of the fee. I had an initial point with Dr. Amera Rahman for…read moremedication management after being diagnosed with inattentive presenting ADHD by my normal therapist. The first appointment was canceled the day before. Things happen so I rescheduled for another day. During the initial appointment Dr. Rahman was dismissive when I addressed my concerns regarding ADHD treatment and options. She questioned the competence on my therapist and insisted that I was depressed even though I explicitly expressed that I was not. I had no feelings of depression or anxiety. She offered Wellbutrin and I declined. After a long drive to the Evanston Clarity Clinic location for a face to face appointment she reluctantly prescribed me 10mg of Vyvanse. After a week on the medication and doubling the dosage after a few days as she instructed, I had a follow up appointment were I explained how I hadn't noticed any change or experienced any of the previously mentioned side effects. At this time she responded "well maybe you don't have ADHD", and insisted again that I was suffering from depression or anxiety. She did not listen to me at all and showed a lack of consideration for what I was experiencing. I felt like this was a form of discrimination. I decided to see another psychiatric provider who gave me a formal evaluation that confirmed my original diagnosis. I have noticed a significant positive change since receiving proper medication management. It is unfortunate that Dr. Rahman made a diagnosis based on her personal biases without evaluating me herself or even adjusting medication.

To be clear of my experience: Therapist was outstanding…read more Reason behind my rating: When I had originally enrolled my son to work with this facility my first and most important request was that he would have the ability to work with the same therapist. In receiving services with cps there was a lot inconsistency with services and the therapist was changing frequently. So naturally I thought that if we paid for private services this problem can be avoided. So I searched for a private practice . I was assured that the request for having my child consistently work with the same therapist would be fulfilled. Those assurances gave me peace of mind and with that we enroll our child. Now I'm being informed that my child will no longer be able to work with the same therapist due to policy change. I asked what the out of pocket expense would be to keep my son with the same therapist and was informed that "regrettably" that wasn't an option. Again I re-iterated to the facility prior to enrollment the importance it was for me to have 1 instructor work with my child. And now (a few short months later) my family and I can no longer be accommodated.
