As of this review, my system is 14 years old but runs ok and I have window units as backups. Given that, Steve recommended maintaining the current system and replacing it only when necessary, and preferably during the slower fall season. Steve's honest assessment saved me thousands, and he has earned my future business. He also told me something the other guys didn't: The closet that contains my air handler and water heater is not large enough for the new system recommended to me, so the HVAC and water heater bundle quote I received was likely to increase significantly under sales pressure, and would require a tankless water heater. If you enjoy spending thousands more than necessary, there are plenty of companies in ETX that will help you do exactly that. However, if you value honesty, integrity, fairness, and a lifetime of experience, do your family a favor and call Steve Baser Air Conditioning. What I was hired for quickly turned into handling far more than expected, with constant changes and little structure. I was later asked to work out of a home office in his bedroom, despite there being a business office. When I declined, the work environment became very difficult. There was a clear lack of organization and professionalism that made it hard to do the job effectively. Based on my experience, I would not recommend working here. We have grand kids and could not accept the danger . Had to pay for thicker glass and tempered glass to be installed . Windows leaked and had to re-caulk the windows. More Caulking is needed on outside windows. They will not return to finish the job. I even offered to pay them more money !!! Very Dissipated ELY .
