Danny did all the research and gave me a rear view mirror model complete with the lines that turn as you back up, inside and outside temp, and compass built in. He's install was super clean- looks factory if they would have had back cameras in the 80's. I dropped it off after lunch today, and it was ready before supper time. After so many post pandemic hassles with retail stores, this sure was a refreshing experience. I didn't expect the truck back for a week, and it's sitting in the carport now with a sweet upgrade!

First: he accidentally broke an exterior light in 2 places but didn't tell me. I noticed it when I was looking at the fixture, which was completely smashed on two sides. I sent him a photo and he said he must have hit it with his ladder and offered to replace it. That's pretty difficult to miss hitting, but whatever. I asked if I could pay him to install another light that was broken on my front porch, of course I would pay for that. I ordered the light based off the part number. Partially my fault for not taking it out of the box to inspect it, but I had to leave the house and he installed the light. When I returned home I noticed the light was 2 times smaller than the other 2. I mean, wouldn't a professional ask a customer "did you notice the size difference", especially because it's so noticeable, before installing the light? My usual electrician certainly would have because it's his name and company reputation and he doesn't want something to look bad or be incorrect without reconfirming with me. Now I have to pay my usual electrician to uninstall the smaller light fixture and pay to have the correct size installed. I take responsibility on part of the issue m, but I expect more from people who take pride in their work and this issue impacted my overall satisfaction. Good job installing my Ring system. I've had a few issues with sensors installed incorrectly that I have been fixing myself. I won't use him again but I would recommend him, just double check his work before he leaves and don't expect any "extra effort" on his part. Definitely knows how to install the cameras and door locks and set up the Nest system. Zero issues there. Worked quickly and pleasant to work with. Trustworthy to leave alone in my house (which I'm usually weird about). So still impressed by him and most of the work he did for me.

However, after making the purchases and going to make an appointment (which happened to be 2 weeks out), I was told by Best Buy that my Geek Squad Service Plan could not be used as it only applied to our home address. This was ludicrous given our daughter (a family member) was being moved into a property that was rented for one year and her permanent address was our residence. Enter Hello Tech! I found this company on line and made an appointment on Saturday and on Sunday afternoon our installation was completed by a very capable Hello Tech technician. I purchased their annual service plan and upon returning to Tampa, Florida, I had a Hello Tech technician install a Google Nest WiFi Learning Thermostat, 3rd Generation, along with three sensors, which I purchased from Lowe's. Best Buy and the Geek Squad are over rated. I will be canceling my service plan with Best Buy.

I should have inspected the work better before paying them because it was really done poorly, especially based on what I paid them. The tv was mounted to the wall over the power and cable receptacles so that the wall plates can no longer be attached. Really, all you had to do was install the bracket an inch lower and there wouldn't have been a problem. The Crown moulding was snapped instead of being removed carefully as I specifically requested. Speaker wires were not concealed all the way. Upstairs similar issues. I asked for a power outlet and receptacle for hdmi and wires. The hole was cut behind the tv mount so once again you can't connect a wall plate. On top of that I found an extension cord was used to run power, wtf! Seriously I should have just done the job myself. It might have taken me longer but it sure would've looked a lot better. Now I have to go back and fix the poor workmanship which will involve me reinstalling the wall mounts and doing drywall work. I expected some light touch up work but this was not worth what I paid.
