They sent her back in a wonderful pup container, it had a lock of her hair with it, along with a cement inpression of her paw and a sympathy card, along with a copy of Rainbow Bridge. These folks are the BEST. When I spoke with them, they were very caring & sympathic to my situation. Unfortunately our experience with her from that point on was awful. From getting Harley's name wrong ( and mine), to exhibiting a complete lack of compassion or sympathy for us as we were saying goodbye to our beloved dog, nothing about this experience was positive. She lacked a butterfly needle and despite knowing Harley's weight did not sedate him enough. Her repeated jabbing of him caused him to cry out in pain. My wife, with twenty years of veterinary experience had to take control of the situation or it would have been worse. Because of this, she was not able to be present and to provide comfort to Harley as he was passing. I was ready to send Dr. Loniak away, but we knew Harley needed us to help him. Instead of it being peaceful , it was awful. Dr. loniak practically ran out the door as soon as Harley's heart stopped as if she couldn't wait to get out of here. This is not our first experience with in home euthanasia. Over the past five years we have said goodbye to five other family members. They have all been peaceful and dignified. This was not.

I am so relieved that we chose to trust Angels with Paws to care for our beloved dog, Clementine, on the hardest day. We will always be grateful to Brian and Roberta for their kindness, compassion, and respect. They were both professional and empathetic. They treated our sweet girl with dignity and allowed us time to say goodbye. I called and emailed to ask questions before needing their services, and they were both so patient, communicative and helpful, which gave me so much comfort. My questions about private individual cremation were addressed promptly and thoroughly by Roberta on the phone, and Brian by email. Although they offer pick up, it was important to us to go to Angels with Paws to ensure we felt comfortable. We were so fortunate to be able to choose in-home euthanasia, and we took our dog for cremation afterward. We arrived later than expected, and Brian was so accommodating, and ensured we did not feel rushed. We appreciated his quiet presence and empathy, and he expressed his condolences several times. Angels with Paws offers a nice selection of urns, memorial jewelry, and other keepsakes, too. The drive through the mountains from Asheville was beautiful, and upon arrival we felt such a sense of peace. They have chosen a lovely, tranquil location, and the crematory itself is located outside. We arrived toward the end of the day, and our amazing girl was wrapped in her blanket and cremated under a starry sky. We were relieved to hear that Clementine's ashes were ready for pickup sooner than expected. Our only regret is that Angels with Paws did not provide cremation services for our previous animals years ago. We have always had suitable experiences in the past, but this was different. Angels with Paws is a locally-owned family business and they genuinely care. They took extra time to honor our wishes, and this meant more than words can express. When I asked for a refund they refused and assured me that the nose print I will receive was Tiki's. I think that's BS and the print I did receive I don't think was Tiki's and I'm somewhat questionable about the paw print.
