First 5 sessions were okay; made some progress…read more During the 6th session my therapist demonstrated a new stretch, then went back to his other patient. I put my limb in the position and was immediately in excruciating pain. When I informed the therapist, he told me only I should only stretch to the limit without pain. I do not think he understood what I was telling him, or he was too busy to pay attention. He then went back to his other patient. This meant my limb was no where near the same position for the stretch when I tried it again. When I was done, I stood there waiting for him to be done with his other patient. He then demonstrated another activity and went back to his other patient. I tried but was unable to do the activity in one position without excruciating pain. I told him that I could not do this. He told be to do the reverse set. When I finished, I waited again. He sent me to the other side of the room to perform other exercises that I had previously performed without serious pain. I was able to do them, but with some throbbing pain. The next day I was in quite of bit of pain, even in a resting state (this was not the case before). I called to cancel my next appointment. When asked why, I explained that I was in quite a bit of pain from the previous. When I say "pain", I do not mean "a bit sore from the workout", I mean pain that felt like I had been stabbed and the knife was twisted. This set me back to the beginning when my issue started. I played phone tag with the therapists, eventually I spoke to a Erin, who suggested that something could be done for my pain if I was able come in that day. I chose to go in with the lure of pain relief. When I arrived, it was clear that the therapist was there to do an evaluation to dismiss me from their services, not to relieve my pain, We both agreed there was not point in coming back, and I should contact my doctor for further evaluation (I had already made this decision right after the previous appointment). I indicated that I had been told there was something that might be done for the pain. The pain relief offered was tissue massage that had been performed prior, and a hot or cold pack. I can do heat or cold at home. The previous massage, while not painful, was never particularly pleasant, so I skipped all this and went home to use my own ice pack. Clearly that last visit that lasted 15 - 20 minutes was a waste of my time, and just an opportunity for ATI to close out the file. I do not blame the therapist for the specific activity that caused the excruciating pain, but I do blame him for being to busy to comprehend what I was telling him. Over 25 years I have been in physical therapy 3 other times (never ATI). I had always had positive experience, even when sent back to my doctor for further evaluation. I have never been to a facility where there therapist is too busy to pay attention to the needs of the patient.

If I have a lot of walking or stairs I feel pain before going in, and then after I have PT and exercises it feels so much better. I'd think after I got beat up with stability work and deep tissue massage it would be worse, but it's not. I'm happy I came here. The feeling and general mood of the whole place is very positive and upbeat. I've been to PT's elsewhere and it's like a morgue. Patients talk and laugh together here. It's great to keep your mind off of the pain and gives you something else to think about.

My experience so far has been really great. The vibe is quiet/ relaxed. Whenever I went there has only ever been 1-2 other clients there. There is tons of free or metered parking nearby. I admit to being remiss in not checking out staff credentials ahead of time. My referral order was for PT, so I assumed the staff might have informed me that no one I would be working with had an advanced degree in that area. I'm sure the staff is very well qualified for personal training, but I would not recommend this place for PT. My care was mainly directed by a former nurse practitioner/firefighter/EMT. After showing me an exercise, I was off-loaded to an admin person with no credentials at all in PT. The supervisor, who spent about 5 minutes with me per session, actually trained in chiropractic care and acupuncture. After 3 sessions, I did not feel I was receiving the care I needed. I also felt very out of place and uncomfortable in addition to not making any progress. I cancelled the rest of my appointments and started with an organization where each therapist has a doctorate in physical therapy. That person worked with me one-on-one for the full session. I immediately began to make real progress and benefitted enormously from the care I received. In summary I'd say before starting anywhere, check the qualifications of staff members and make sure they align with your needs. For me the only good part of this experience was being greeted each time by Adrean. He is an extraordinary customer service person and a kind, warm, and welcoming one. He was extremely efficient and the sole reason I gave Balanced Flow a two-star rating instead of one.

I am a veteran of PT rehab stints having had two hip replacements, two rotator cuff surgeries, and one hip labrum tear surgery over the past 25+ years. I believe I know a thing or two about effective PT therapy. Not to take anything away from Athletico, who treated all of my above issues, the Elevate PT team is a significant cut above the typical PT practice. What stands them apart is their deep attentiveness to proper form and function, plus utilizing a frequent change of protocol to both challenge me and keep me motivated. Shivani's goal is not to just get me back to some sort of "status quo", but to make lasting improvements that leaves me better off than before my arrival at her practice. She also taught me many things that I could incorporate on my own to better manage my lower back issues, and those have proven to be quite useful. She pointed out and fixed things wrong with my gait and posture that no one had ever pointed out to me before. Her knowledge and ability to present it in non medical terms is really terrific. All the while doing this with an incredibly friendly and fun demeanor. After all was said and done, I was so impressed with Elevate's practice that I sent my wife there who unfortunately fractured her femur (surgery, rods and screws...the whole works) shortly after I completed my stint. By the time I finally made an appointment with Pro-Holistic, I was feeling desperate. As a personal chef for more than 10 years, I spent lots of time on my feet and developed painful lower back pain. In addition, the burning nerve pain in my neck was back again and I was fearing another cervical disc replacement and fusion. My digestion was totally off and I had chronic fatigue. Basically, no energy to do my job much less put in extra time for my grandkids. I figured I'd give chiropractics another try. I'd been to a chiropractor 15 years ago and had an unremarkable experience. This one seemed different. Right from the start I found Drs Rae and Vargas to be knowledgeable, and confident that they could help me. They really LISTENED. Their plan for my treatment was 3 days a week and with my busy schedule, I honestly didn't think I could fit it in. It turned out to be an appointment I actually looked forward to. Blood tests revealed I had some nutritional points that needed balancing. In addition to that I had food sensitivities that were contributing to how I was feeling overall. Following their recommendations and 5 months later, I feel like a new person. Their holistic approach includes skilled chiropractic techniques, acupuncture, and functional nutrition directives that changed my life. They are dedicated problem solvers who really care about how you're feeling. They even knew how to work with the existing cervical hardware from my fusion. I was really nervous about that initially but quickly came to trust them completely. They are experienced and skilled. On top of all that, they are just wonderful people. The support staff are kind and helpful and always accommodating with my crazy schedule. My only regret is not calling them sooner!
