We cannot say enough about the care and approach of the Fox Lake facility. At one point the whole household (husband, wife, mom-in-law) were receiving therapy at the same time! For me and my wife, we cannot say enough about the approach that Kacey and staff take with their clients. My wife and I both worked with Kacey and I also had Mitch as the therapists. They listened to what our situations are, provided a program tailored to addressing our needs and worked with us to help us improve flexibility, range of motion, strength and reduce / eliminate pain. They provided clear instructions and took the time to explain the benefit of each exercise, along with making sure our form and technique was correct to get the maximum benefit and recovery. We also received programs we can continue at home to ensure we maintain ourselves and regain full strength and capability. I would highly recommend Athletico in Fox Lake, Il. After my first knee surgery I tore my meniscus again which led to my 2nd surgery. I had an appointment at a different facility and when I ran into problems I called over to Athletico in Fox Lake and they got me in the next morning. I met with Kasey Mills, Facility Manager and she was very thorough which made me feel alot less frustrated about the situation. About 4 months later I had a shoulder injury. Kasey did an injury screening and suggested I see the doctor. Turns out I needed surgery for that too. I of course went back and requested Kasey again. The people in that facility were all very nice and very helpful everytime I was there. Their job can't be easy dealing with people who are in pain and feeling depressed about their current situation. It appears Kasey really enjoy her job and it is shown through her treatment and her facility. read more

I've gone through physical therapy here for two shoulder surgeries and ongoing neck issues, and they also handled my wife's back surgery therapy. Every single time, the care has been outstanding. The staff is not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable and professional. You can tell they truly care about their patients, and it shows in how well they get to know you. Brian Creeron was my therapist for the last couple of months and I must say it was the fastest and most worthwhile time I have encountered at any therapy session. He was friendly and positive for all our sessions. In fact all the physical therapists at this location were friendly and made me feel very comfortable along with the receptionist Stephanie who greeted me as I came and went. In the past I have had Casey and Michael who were both fantastic. I came in not knowing if I might regain control of my left hand but as the days and weeks went by it became clear that I would and now have regained 100% of its use. Kasey Mills is a life changer. My son has had her multiple times for torn labrum, post surgery for shattered collar bone and an L5 Pars issue as well. He always talked about Kasey and how much she helped him. I was always impressed with what I saw but didn't realize how spot on my son was until I started with my own PT after surgery on my Achilles. Some of these injuries can be very debilitating and difficult to come out from. Kasey does such an amazing job getting you back to being able to do the things you once took for granted. The entire room is a great environment. They really create a space you feel comfortable in. I couldn't be happier and am extremely thankful for how Kasey's helped my son and me. read more

This is a great clinic. The front office folks are knowledgeable and helpful and have consistently been able to schedule my appointments at times convenient for me. The therapists are first rate. Competent, genuinely care for their patients, and seem to enjoy their colleagues as well. They have interacted well with my surgeon. The therapists I've worked with include Jake, Casey, and Luis, but the main one I've worked with is Crystal, who is a jewel. She is a combination of fun, deep concern, and great proficiency. I've worked with her in the wake of two major shoulder surgeries, and if it weren't for her, I'd be in big trouble. It's hard for me to imagine a better clinic in Lake County. read more

I have had 4 different surgeries in the last 3 years. I have used this facility for the last 3 recoveries. I have nothing but positive things to say about the staff. They have all been extremely helpful, kind and compassionate all the while pushing you to recover the best way possible. I have had Kasey Mills for majority of therapy for 3 of my recoveries. She is by far the best physical therapist I have ever had! Though I would recommend any of the therapists there, she was a perfect fit for me. I've been going to athletico for almost a year now and they have been extremely helpful in helping me rehab, I had knee surgery and had multiple problems with the surgery but they never gave up and are continuing to help me strengthen the injured limb. While going for my knee I ended up injuring my shoulder at woand Danielle at the front desk was very helpful in being able to schedule both appointments back to back so I did not need to come and go a bunch. Kristine has helped give me exercises and techniques so I can strengthen outside of physical therapy. Overall this facility is fantastic and I would recommend it to anyone who needed physical therapy. read more

These folks are amazing! The staff is very skilled and caring, with an understanding of patient needs and comfort. You are always treated like family, and with respect. This particular location is my choice, for convenience reasons. Mid way from work to home, and open SUPER early (0600) and late if needed (1800) allows flexibility of schedule that other locations don't. After rotator cuff repair, I had the opportunity to work with most of the therapists, and all were great to work with. The front desk staff always greeted me by name, and made me feel welcome. If you find a need for physical therapy, this is ABSOLUTLY the place to go. read more

My 15 yo daughter tore her ACL and both lateral & medial meniscus playing soccer. She had surgery in July with Dr. Roger Chams - he highly recommended for us to use Kasey Mills at Fox Lake Athletico for her PT. I also had several patients recommending Kasey, as well. My daughter has been seeing her since July and we are extremely happy with her methods/expertise in rehabbing her knee. My daughter has gained full range of motion and is currently running. So, I had to have my back operated on a third time. Went back to Athletico, and Kasey, and Crystal worked with me for 6 weeks now. What an improvement! Walking better, the back is regaining its strength. A new service of drying needling by Crystal has really helped with the muscle spasms. One good thing is that they do train you to be able to preform the exercises at home without supervision. But don't get the idea that they are not looking to insure you do it right. Do it wrong they will correct you fast! Don't believe some of the bad reviews here. Take them with a huge grain of salt! read more

I had a L5S1 spinal cord injury causing numbness in both feet. The therapist Casey, understood the problem and a course of action...the first day! Because of the therapy, I began to understand what I was doing wrong and how to correct or mitigate the numbness and train my muscles to work effectively. The staff, from the front desk to the therapists, are good quality people who make therapy effective and have a good nature atmosphere where you want to heal. I have been using Athletico for several years as well as my children. I have one volleyball player who has had several ankle and knee injuries. Every time we see Kasey, my daughter not only feels better but learns how to play without re-injury. My other daughter had knee surgery and was easily able to switch facilities to her college town. The therapists spoke to one another and there was no delay in treatments. Staff is extremely friendly. They greet you at the door and talk with you throughout your sessions. I started to go to this facility about two months ago, post knee surgery. I was immediately impressed with the quality care that I have received, as well as the way that the facility is run. I started to go there strictly for the physical therapy, but what I have been getting is a lot of flexibility allowing me to schedule appointments when I need them, an incredibly attentive and talented team, therapy that has been producing good results, and a feeling that everyone in this facility knows me and what I need. Had to come back due to neck pain. Crystal worked with me for 6 weeks twice a week. Unfortunately, between her and myself working hard on the problem I still had some discomfort, now after two weeks after treatment that is gone. I still experiencing stiffness and cracking noises. I started going to Athletico because I had a plantar fascistic I would do modest walking and sit down for about an hour and I could barely walk. The pain was so bad I needed to use a cane from time to time. After 2 weeks my range of motion has doubled and just after a month. I am not only walking, but running training for a half marathon.
