I made an appointment for my daughter and they got her in the very same day. No waiting. Check in was a breeze. Receptionists were fast and friendly. Dr. Nolan Hirota was very kind and worked his magic on my daughters back. Snap, crack and pop.... and she was feeling back to normal. Thank you!

Come to find out he was saying the same thing to everybody even my own family. And then after the 1st initial appointment, it was quick in and out. Which is not always bad unless he doesn't talk the whole time like. How are you? But what first rubbed me wrong, was in the first appointment. He said people on Medicaid are unreliable, don't show up to their appointments and it was just rude. I had to stop going back because he makes me uncomfortable customer service wise. He's great at what he does but he needs to practice bedside manners. His wife is amazing though. She's the only reason why I'm giving it two stars. Note: I've gone a total of five times, I should have stopped going after that first one with the comment. But I kept giving him A chance. So I stopped going over a year ago and decided maybe I should let other people know about his manners. Because that's why a lot of people would even come to Yelp is to get reviews. No way am I bashing, I am stating a fact that he could be more professional. ( I also run my own business and have reputation. So I know how to act and what to expect from others, especially from a professional setting) Update: he decided to message me personally and this is what he had to say for himself. I just thought you all would like to look at it because I couldn't believe he said it. Again. I understand why you wouldn't take Medicaid people but you don't sit there and tell other clients and patients why. And He's claiming I'm lying pretty much. So I'm bringing it down to one star. He seriously needs to work on his manners. This is highly unprofessional. Everyone has bad days but it doesn't excuse how you talk to others. It wasn't the service I had a problem with or his skills, it was his mouth and how he acts. If you loved your job you would act like it. Also his writing is just like the way he acts in the office. Because I didn't mention time waiting, talking a lot or most of the stuff talking about in the screenshots. So alot what he just said was unnecessary. I was trying to keep this brief and short but he decided he wanted to message so here's an update. And just so you know, doc, Medicaid and Medicare are two completely different things and we are still held accountable if we miss an appointment too. We get in trouble in repercussions too if we miss our appointments. I'm actually surprised if a doctor doesn't know that.

The aid staff is not well trained and they are very short handed especially on the weekends. I've…read morebeen there a few times and the staff didn't know where my mother was. The food is awful and very reliant on heavy starchy fillers and not fresh fruits or vegetables , and protein is practically non- existent . The cleaning staff is ok , but again not enough of them and my mother's room is always a mess & dirty, esp. the bathroom I don't know who does the laundry but every time I visit, my mother is missing clothes , sometimes I see other residents in things that I have bought her , but most of the time the clothes are just gone. When I brought this up to one of the supervisors she did nothing. So every time I visit now , I bring more things. The ED , John Joyner, is not accessible and it takes multiple times to connect with him. He is completely uncaring and tows the Jaybird company line. Residents get charged & charged & charged The administration is only interested in money and how much can they charge the residents. I had a box stored in my mother's closet and when they moved her to a smaller room, someone opened the box and when I asked where it was , it had been put in general storage not her room. They brought it to me and it had been opened , actually cut open as it had been taped and sealed shut, and have of the contents were gone. Again, John Joyner did not care at all. I'm in the process of moving my mother out of here , and I would recommend that nobody puts a parent, or loved one at this place.

On our first and only visit, we waited nearly an hour just to see him. Then he was obviously VERY rushed and gave us only about 5 or 6 minutes of his time. We were told up front that he would be a little late because of performing surgery. We can certainly appreciate that, but we drove over an hour just to get to the clinic. My wife was having serious problems with her foot, and it certainly would have been helpful for him to spend a little more time with us, and at least give the impression that he cared.

He. Is. The. BEST. Now living 2+ hours away, I will still take the time to travel to see him for any of my needs. His approach, diagnosis, explanation and follow up are all first class. Receptionist is super friendly and caring. Dr. Voortman is understanding and very knowledgeable. My first appointment consisted of an initial nutritional response testing and orientation. It lasted about 20 min. Next, I was advised to take some whole food supplements (Standard Process) to detox my liver back into shape. I made another appointment for the next week and off I went. Week one: took Spanish black raddish, and congaplaex. First week I was fine. Week 1-1/2: Went to the next appointment an my liver is starting to heal. Nice. 3 days days later...my body really stated to detox. I ended up with a fever, body aches and the whole wham bam detox from hell for the next 2 days. I called Dr. Voortman and told her my body is not doing well. She told me to come see her right away (without charge) and she tested me for some things and then suggested to take garlic for drainage... Hopefully, I will be feeling better soon. I will update this when I do. But either way..Dr. Voortmans office has been very understanding and helpful and I would recommend them.
