I saw Jennifer at the Lee's Summit ETC location for a light ankle sprain (I have chronic back…read moreinjuries and hip issues so I was just receiving some light PT for a sprain to keep my body mobile as my more serious injuries are pretty much permanent & PT wouldn't benefit those)so Jennifer and the staff understood these limitations based on my PCP s orders and I was able to successfully get the sprain injury recovered, thanks to the intimate understanding of this staff I healed and I could finally move on. I talked to my doctor. He order X-rays, then he ordered PT at ETC to strengthen my back with the goal of hip surgery (arthritis) when my back was strong enough. The therapists have been great, I've been going for 3 weeks and I can already feel a difference. The one person I see every time is the receptionist. She is great and made us feel welcome. I have to admit pulling into this hospital for my annual mammogram, I was a little hesitant. That…read morequickly changed once I walked into the building. Everyone at my check in was helpful and kind. I have never been to this hospital so I needed lots of direction. Once I arrived at the imaging location I was again greeted warmly and my technician was above and beyond kind. She was slow and gentle and made sure I was comfortable. And even better my results were ready that evening for my doctor and for me the next morning. Now this place is very dated and needs a make over but does not lack kindness. COVID procedure: you go in and out one entrance only. It is clearly marked outside. You will remove your mask and put on a new one provided for you then scan your wrist for your temperature. You will then get checked in and directed where to go. I felt very safe. I did get a tip that this location is a hub for COVID patients and may not be the best place to go right now for an ER visit as they are very overwhelmed and have a high wait time.

KUMed advised Belton wouldn't know me like they do and they'd treat me for the pain. I've been treated at the clinic and ER at Belton before. Those in place act like everyone is a liar when it comes to treatment. KUMed later I formed me to take an ambulance to them the next time my back pain is not manageable. Hospital ride all the way downtown because help here is not offered. Total neglect in care. A solid F for the medical center side as well. Outsourcing your appointment desk to places unknown has caused a long delay and consumed time on the phone due to the lack of speaking solid understandable English. Ive not been able to make an appt with little effort since this service took over. Spare yourself and go to the walk in clinics for care.

She came in from lunch and or break when I got there and did not acknowledge me at all. Instead she pranced to to back and stood and had long conversations as my PT was running behind. This lady made eye contact several times and not once came up to say anything. She went on and on about concerts, Tech9 and etc. Once I got seen 13 min after my appointment time, she remained loud and unprofessional the entire time. Figuring she would at some point stop talking and allow the PTs to work with their patients, but no this went on for the entire time that I was there. When I get up to check out and pay my co-pay, she turns around and says oh I checked your insurance and it's gonna be $100 today and not $25 as I previously told you on your first appt. I looked at her in shock as this should've been advised at my last appt. to give me the option if I wanted to proceed or not and or when I got there and I waited for 13 minutes while she ran her mouth and talked the entire time. I of course asked her why wasn't this advised in the beginning as this was not my first time there. Her response was oh yeah, I guess I could have handled it better in a sarcastic tone. Of course I paid because it is the right thing to do but when I tell you, she needs to find a job that she can talk the entire time and or be quiet and work accordingly to do things the correct way so that patients don't get a shock factor. This could have been advised after my last appointment when I paid but clearly her talking is more important than handling business. Doubt if I'll go back to this one. Will be finding another one. Her customer service skills need sharpening as they are not the greatest and it's not about the money it is about her office manners and due diligence of doing her job.

After 5 minutes of listening to her casual conversation and laughing it up with someone on the phone, I walked out. I asked the doctor for a referral to another PT place.
