Jenna, and the team at PAM Overland Park put together a customized plan for onsite and at home treatment for me to follow. I was assigned a different Physical Therapist assigned for my treatment at each of my first 3 or 4 in-office PT sessions. While I initially had some concerns with continuity-of-care with this approach, it turned out to be a great program to match the best Physical Therapist to my care and recovery plan.

They really put their heart into it and if you need severe rehab rehabilitation after say a head injury this is the place to go to get them rehabilitated.. I wish my husband could stay longer here. Our entire family is forever indebted to Johnson County Rehab staff for the hard work that they had to help my husband and the other people around them. You really felt cared for.

The care she received was very good - first many staff assessed her level of need. Then they built a plan to support, challenge, and strengthen her. They were positive, professional, and kind. I work in healthcare as a psychologist and was impressed. I suppose that if I could, I'd take off half a star for the food being a bit bland.

Employees were laying on the beds in the therapy room and had their feet up on chairs while on their phones. Both the front desk woman and the admissions woman who gave me the tour, did not focus on what their facility could offer, but instead trashing their competition. There were at least five times that they made negative comments about other rehab facilities. Not professional at all. I would not recommend for that alone. Luckily, we didn't end up needing a rehab.

First, they tried to ignore severe pain and muscle spams due to nerve damage in my hip that…read moreoccurred during my knee replacement surgery as "a little soreness after surgery." I had to force the issue of effectively treating the situation and it still took them 10 days before they bothered to do the correct treatment that should have been done on postop day 2. This borders on malpractice. Secondly, when I was asked, I told them that I expected to be walking without a cane after surgery. I had been forced to use a cane for about 5-6 years prior to surgery due to safety concerns and the need to preserve what I could of being able to use the knee. My expectation of being able to walk normally was completely ignored. Instead, when I tried to walk without the cane, I was told to keep using the cane. This continued throughout my entire time in rehab. Somehow they thought that using the cane was going to help me be able to walk without it. Even I don't think that's right!! This means that I couldn't really walk when they decided to dismiss me from their care. They didn't care about getting to the correct place; all they cared about was that I could stand and waddle around a little with the cane. That is not good rehabilitation. It is coming up on a year since my surgery and I still cannot walk normally because they never appropriately addressed the problems in my hips that were caused by the use of the cane. Basically they expected me to figure it out on my own. I am going to have to go to a different doctor (not one who is part owner of this facility) and a different PT place in order to get proper medical care. I find that disgusting. I will never recommend this PT facility to anyone. At this point I am unsure if I will ever be able to return to my sport. They do not care about performance. Do they even know what that word means? They only care about money.

We had a horrible experience. One night there was a nurse that was so incredibly rude and…read moredismissive to both myself and my mom (the patient) that I spent the night because I didn't trust the nurse to give my mom the care she deserved. I asked for that nurse to not care for my mom in the future. That worked for a few days, but one night she was having issues and that same nurse was in her room. My mom would push the call button and wait for a long time before anyone would come. She waited on the toiltet one time before someone came to help her back to bed. Her pain meds were often given to her an hour later than expected, which would then be hard to get her pain managed. Her room was dirty and i never saw anyone clean it. There were a few caring people. Amanda as a great nurse. Matt was so kind when giving my mom meds. Be aware of Susan, a nurse there. Not only was she horrible to my mom, but I witnessed her being awful to another patient. That was when I knew my mom's horrible experience wasn't the only one. Even when they said she was a valuable nurse.

Nursing care was excellent, they took the time to explain things to my Dad, were responsive to his needs. I was disappointed with my experience at Marquette PT in Leawood. My orthopedic surgeon at KCOI…read moregave me specific activity restrictions, but instead of respecting those restrictions or contacting my doctor for clarification, the therapist argued with me about them. As a patient, I don't think I should be put in the middle of a disagreement between my physician and my therapist. Another concern was the lack of consistency in my care. I was treated by different therapists, and each seemed to have different opinions, different treatment plans, and different exercise recommendations. It was confusing and made it difficult to feel confident that everyone was working toward the same goals. I wasn't told when I scheduled I wouldn't just be with one therapist. In my past with different clinics I had always been seen by the same physical therapist throughout. The gold standard of care. I expected better communication, coordination, and respect for my care and physician's instructions. Patients benefit most when their healthcare providers work together rather than giving conflicting advice. I spoke with the owner and it seems they may be short on therapists and overbooked.

The care and treatment I received from the Physical therapist as well as the office manager was above exceptional. I received excellent care and treatment for the rehabilitation ofy shoulder after a slap tear fix and then car of my knee after having a repair done. The exercises taught in office and then done at home were successful in getting both shoulder and knee back to full use with in the 6 to 8 week treatment time . I feel that both are stronger then they were even pre surgery. .I was taught exercises to help stretch and strengthen the areas and feel they are easy to do at home which has allowed me to return to playing pickleball which was the goal.

In those two sets of visits, Dr Rissman developed a base line for my lower back issues that were mostly due to age and arthritis. He carefully reviewed the x rays in the first visit. He tried a variety of treatments and we landed on a stretching of the lower back on a decompression type machine for several visits. It helps to rehydrate the discs and with a few treatments, it was much improved. I walk and run a lot and hike and climb in the Rockies often, and four years later it recurred. We tried a few regular treatments and went back to the decompression. A few treatments and I am fine again. What really meant a lot to me were the following. 1- the staff to a person is professional, friendly and knowledgeable. 2- in 9 visits this year, I never waited for my appointment. They have established an electronic record system that knows when I walk in and scan a card. It makes sure that my records beat me to the treatment area and all the notes and pics are readily available. 3 - The paperwork is minimal, and the staff is great at keeping up with my needs between appts. the Doc and the staff allow me to participate in the decisions about me treatment 4. - Finally, and very important in these times, everyone wore masks, keeps a proper distance, and the equipment is freshly cleaned between patients and even more often some times.
