Then the nurse told me they won't discuss my MRI over the phone, that I would need to drive another 40 minutes and pay another $140 copay just to tell me my results. When I asked why they can't just tell me on the phone (which is something even my cancer doctor does) she said "talk to your insurance" and scurried out of the room. I assumed my appt was over and left ‍ Overall an unpleasant, apathetic experience

The front desk staff were very kind and went back to ask Dr. Hale if she would still see me. She refused. I completely understand that physicians have schedules to keep and that patients should make every effort to arrive on time. But I find it incredibly disappointing that there was apparently zero grace for a patient who was 10 minutes late - particularly at an orthopedic practice, where the people coming through the door are often doing so because they are physically in pain. I had taken time out of my day to attend this appointment and was there seeking medical care for an ongoing issue. I wasn't 30 or 45 minutes late. I was 10 minutes late, two of which were spent trying to locate the office within the building. Again, the front desk staff were lovely and I have no complaint whatsoever about how they treated me. But Dr. Hale's refusal to see me over a 10-minute delay left me with a very poor impression of the level of compassion and patient-centered care at this practice. Policies are important, but so are judgment, empathy, and basic human grace-especially when you work with people who are coming to you because they are in pain. I will be seeking orthopedic care elsewhere. And you should too if you value compassionate care.

Anthony always made sure to listen to me and adapt and modify as needed as my shoulder progressed, and I always felt like he was attuned to exactly what I needed to get over the hump. He was also great at motivator, pushing me to make progress and avoid stagnation, allowing me to trust his expertise every step of the way. Special shout-out as well to PTs Paul, Colin, Kim, and the rest of the team! Everyone there is incredibly personable and made what I expected to be a not-so-fun recovery turn out to be a fun and motivating experience. Highly recommend!

She is an excellent therapist who worked with me , addressed and resolved my many, many questions and anxiety and through her exercises, therapies and techniques restored me to where I am now .... able to walk smoothly, go up and down stairs, ride my bike, do squats , dance and just have the feeling of joy I was missing. She constantly motivated me and encouraged me and assured me that things would get better and I would be better. She was right and I thank her so much. The staff at Nova Care Rehabilitation (Ardmore location) is excellent. From the manager to the other staff members they are the best and work hard to get you back on track. I appreciate them and would recommend this facility for your physical therapy needs.

I don't go to anyone but her as I have never had any PT know what she knows. The only bad thing at this location is the loud noise factor. When people do not have clients they talk very loud and laugh loud so that the rest of us trying to work with our therapist cannot be relaxed, it's very disconcerting. It is certainly no way to run a professional business. BE QUIET! That is the reason for four stars. Tara rates five stars.

No problem, they tilt in so I don't have to go outside, etc. I'm almost done and I notice that there's a tiny gap at the top of one of the windows where it didn't quite make it all the way up. Hmmm....what to do. Oh, I know. Get on a kitchen chair and just push it up the rest of the way. Note that my kitchen chairs are on wheels, and they rock backwards so you can kick back. As I was rolling the chair up to the wall, I remember thinking this perhaps wasn't a good idea. Then, nah, it will only be a second, I'll be fine. You can guess what happened next: The chair started to roll, and so I grabbed the window sill to stop it, then the chair tilted backwards and I'm on the floor, with one sore shoulder. FDC took me to Urgent Care where they declared it a sprain, two weeks later Ortho announces it's a broken bone, and six weeks after that I'm sent to PT for 'stretching'. So off I go to Excel Physical Therapy. They're in the old Bell Telephone Building in between the old Viking Inn and St. Colman's Catholic church on Lancaster Ave. There's a lot accessible from Lancaster and also from Church Road. They're on the second floor, the facility is clean, bright and open. I'm evaluated by Andrew Bacon, who becomes my regular PT. Andrew was the consummate clinician: professional, friendly, careful and thorough. He gave me increasingly challenging activities to do during sessions and at home, and six weeks later I'm nearly pain free. I hope I never have to go back, because PT is not fun, however I'm so glad to have worked with Andrew to get myself back to who I was.

I had never seen a chiropractor before and I was impressed with what he offers when it comes to pain management. I work from home and had heard coworkers say they see a chiropractor regularly for maintenance, but what motivated me to come in was I had lower back pain that really affected my quality of life. In my first visit he quickly diagnosed me while we chatted so he is really efficient at what he does while building rapport with new patients. Within 1-2 visits I did not feel any pain in my lower back anymore, I was so glad I didn't wait for it to go away on its own or try stretching because he said that would have made it worse. I have continued coming for my back and Dr. Tony says it's looking better and better, but I've also been coming in more frequently because I've been so congested. I find it's helpful to bring up anything that's ailing me because I didn't realize so many things were related...I didn't even know he could do anything about my congestion! He provides a lot of education and I love being an informed patient. Beyond his chiropractic adjustments, I've experienced a lot of their pain management strategies over the course of my visits: they have a "healing room" where they have you lay down for infrared therapy, lymphatic drainage, cupping (not the Asian kind that leaves marks but it briefly sucks then releases), and ozone therapThis was all to promote blood flow to the affected area, relieve pressure, etc. I have also experienced their hydrotherapy bed, which honestly feels like a nice massage. I appreciate that this practice is so comprehensive and that for a working mom like me I can experience pain relief and it's even like a sduring my visits. I also can't forget to mention his staff--Sandy does the scheduling and billing, Valerie is usually the one taking me to each room and setting up the equipment, and I've also interacted with Stephanie through text when she reminds me of appointments or handles when I have last second scheduling changes. Normally when you go to doctor's offices and there's a wait because appointments are running behind it's easy to get annoyed, but I love Dr. Tony's small practice and even on busy days when the waiting room is packed I find that we all talk to each other and the staff--you really don't mind waiting a bit to see him or go into one of the rooms because they work so efficiently. This really reflects the positive culture of his practice and just how much we all find his treatments helpful.
