When I walked into their office I was immediately greeted by DiJuana who after helping me fill out the required insurance forms, engaged me in friendly conversation for the very brief wait before I was taken back to the examining room. I must say that Dr. McDougal was as pleasant a person both personally and professionally as I could have asked for and he put me at ease immediately. After digression into unrelated topics such as UNC Basketball etc, they began the initial X-rays to assess my condition. Afterwards we had a lengthy conversation about the various treatment options. At no time did I feel rushed or pressured to make a decision: it was obvious that he had only my best interests in mind. Although no such procedure is "a fun thing", Dr. McDougal and his assistant made sure that I was comfortable throughout. Afterwards he made arrangements for both phone and office visits so he could monitor my recovery and also referred me to another local specialist for additional consultation. I had an abscessed tooth & Dr. Prathi did a 3d X-ray which showed a massive infection & a lot of bone loss, & a potential area on another tooth that also appeared infected. While she has done many root canals, she referred me out to an endodontist as she said this was a severe case with high risk. I ended up getting 2 root canals & then came back here for the crowns. They took the best care of me!!
