It'd be a raving 5 stars if it weren't for the initial call to book the appointment! I was on hold for like 30 minutes, to be then greeted by a not so enthusiastic clerk lady. It had me raising doubts about coming here! But once at the office, the staff was very kind and the doctor himself (Wilson? He had a nice mustache) was great. Dr Atkins lied to me and did a unauthorized Baloon procedure on me that made my sinuses wide open. I originally went to him for help I had, had a sinus operation that I believed to have left me with Empty Nose Syndrom. I should have realized that him and his staff knew nothing about ENS. After many treatments and tests he said that I needed a small bone removed on my right side and he could do it. I reluctantly agreed to a operation. However instead he did a baloon procedure that opened up my sinuses and worsened my breathing. I found out from his staff what he had done. He would not face me and had is staff tell me that they were done with me. First off him and his staff push the Baloon sinoplasty that is their money maker. All that I can say is becareful of what you agree to and what papers that you sign. Over all his staff and the Dr is friendly. read more

I've suffered from allergies for far too long and Dr Atkinson provided several recommendations based on what he saw on the X-ray. He has vast knowledge on the subject and with the prescriptions he recommended my allergies are under control now. Dr. Atkins and Mike Ferris (PA) are wonderful! I'm more familiar with Mike. He's awesome and always very compassionate and helpful. He helped me get set up for allergy shots, which have helped me tremendously! Time spent in the waiting room is minimal and literally every person that works there have been super helpful and very nice. As other reviewers have noted, the people answering the phones are extremely extremely calloused, self-centered and rude. I saw Dr. Atkins once the first time I visited and he seemed great, but over the last nearly 3yrs. I have repeatedly dealt with at least one particular awful person on the phone, I don't know which one it is, and maybe it's all of them. I called today to begin the process again to get into surgery after many prior appointments and I am just absolutely done. I don't have time right now to type all the details, but they just lost a patient and $$ for a surgery because the young ladies answering the phones are just absolutely infuriating to deal with. They have disgusting superiority complexes. I am transferring to another doctor and starting over and it is completely worth it to me so I don't have to feel super angry every time I call. I don't normally have this experience in life, it is only this place. They don't need you or your business and they make sure to let you know and to treat you that way. Horrible. Transferring my records today. It isn't worth it. They don't need you and you don't need to be treated this way to try and get care unless you don't mind groveling at the feet of calloused young lady phone-answering drones with superiority complexes who get way too unnecessarily into your medical details for appointment-takers and when you start pushing back on giving them so much unnecessary detail, will literally take back the appointment they just offered you and tell you to go to urgent care for your surgery and then hang up on you. read more

The office does not allow bills to be paid online. You must pay by coming into the office or giving them your card number over the phone.

Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We agreed on a price for my out of pocket cost. After surgery I was billed $500 more than promised and now have a collection agency after me and my credit has been negatively affected. I called multiple times and no one in the office could help me work this out and said it was from my follow up visit. I tried to talk to her and she wouldn't respond to voicemail, email, messages from the office staff nor would she respond to my pharmacy causing a lapse in my medication (she is the only employee that deals with prescriptions). Dr. Atkins & his entire team are some of the most incredible medical professionals I've ever encountered. I have suffered from allergies my entire life, had frequent sinus infections, and migraines triggered by the constant inflammation. I pursued allergy shots with another allergist which alleviated my allergies some, but it wasn't until meeting Dr. Atkins that I was treated in a way that would significantly impact my quality of life. From day one the entire team at Atkins Expert Sinus Care was professional, attentive, and efficient. I've had CT scans done in house (much less expensive this way), underwent treatment for a chronic sinus infection, had allergy testing performed, and underwent a balloon sinuplasty with turbinate reduction. I was thoroughly informed on every step in the process and given alternate treatment options to ensure I could make the most informed decision for myself. The team here genuinely cares about your well being and Dr. Atkins will even take the time to follow up with texts to check in on you after a procedure. I have since healed up nicely and can move so much air through my nose which is still mind boggling after being a long term mouth breather, ha! I find it hilarious that anybody put less than 5.0 for these guys...you will never find a group like this where every single staff member is genuine about caring for you, has a great personality, and is super on top of all the newest technology and techniques. I have been to many allergy specialists all my life (37 years) and now I will never be able to go back to them. These guys do in-house ct scans for 1/10 of the cost elsewhere, do in-house surgery to save you tens of thousands of dollars for hospital expenses and paying other "true" specialists/surgeons to do the job. Dr. Atkins is the man no question and was the first doctor to ever care enough and discover things resolutions to my sinuses that nobody else ever cared to after many years and tons of money wasted elsewhere... read more

Let's be clear, I have no issues with Dr. Atkins and the other medical personnel on his staff. They have all been very helpful and caring for my situation. Unfortunately, this seems to be my only route at getting attention for my current billing issue since no one will return my calls. To clarify: My issue is with the Billing Department and the Office Manager (Sandra). I have tried numerous times to obtain a refund from a visit back in November 2017. My last visit to Dr. Atkins office was February 2018. While signing in, I informed the front desk lady that I had a refund and wanted to know what I owed for this visit. She informed me that I owed the full co-pay and that I would need to speak to the billing department. As I was waiting in the lobby, I called the billing department and was informed that they had record of my refund and that they would contact Dr. Atkin's office. It is now May 2018 and Dr. Atkin's office is claiming they have no knowledge of my refund and neither Dr. Atkins office nor the billing department will return my calls. read more

Dr. Atkins and his staff is very friendly, helpful and most of all professional. I had over 6 sinus infections in the past year. After many visits to my family physician I reached out to Dr. Atkins. It was evident that I need to have sinus surgery in order to get relief. I had the surgery which included, Septal, turbinate and sinus surgery! The surgery went very well no pain after. A little discomfort the first day from the tubes in the nostrils but by the second day I was up and doing most of my normal activities. Of course following the restrictions and Dr orders to a tee. After just a few weeks I couldn't believe how awesome I felt! Wish I had done this procedure earlier! My daughter had many of the same issues, she too had the surgery and it has changed both our lives! Dr. Atkins is definitely a smart guy. My problem is that he doesn't actually take time with his patients. He rushes you in and out so fast that it makes your entire experience uncomfortable. I was so excited to finally see Dr Atkins since I have suffered from sinusitis my entire life. I take antibiotics 3 or 4 times a year due to sinus infections that work their way into my lungs and it really hurts. My first time seeing him he told me that he wanted me to take antibiotics for a month and then he would do a ct scan. He told me that I should get my Vitamin D levels tested and that I should get the pneumococcal vaccine. I went and got lab work done and got the pneumococcal vaccine. The next time we met, he told me that I had a deviated septum, and that insurance wouldn't cover balloon sinuplasty which would stop all of my sinus headaches. He then informed me to come back in when I had a real bad infection so that he could document it and try to convince my insurance. It felt so rushed that I felt cheated. If you can't afford sinuplasty then don't go and see him. He will just rush you out of his office like he did me. read more

My experience at TSC has been top notch. The staff and Dr. Atkins are very professional and treated me with respect. Yes, you will have to follow the Dr's procedures but this is the way it is with any doctor. So far I have had two visits. First visit was initial look followed by three weeks of preventive meds. Second I had a CT scan & allergy test. Dr. Atkins and staff went over my results in detail, a diagnosis made, now I'm scheduled for the procedure in a week. As far as billing and insurance, the staff did checks throughout the process, always informing me if there was or was not a problem. In my opinion this place is awesome all around and I would recommend it to friends and family. read more

Dr. Atkins is a great doctor, but his practice is not forthright about costs. A balloon sinuplasty was performed on me, and I paid a copay of $150 as I do for most surgeries. Just like all surgeries, I returned days later for a follow up appointment. I paid a $40 copay upon arrival as I do when I see any specialist. I waited over an hour to be seen by a PA who stuck a light up my nose and told me it was red and irritated (which I could have already determined on my own). The PA prescribed an ointment to be mixed with a saline spray to use on my nose. He spent no more than 10 minutes with me. Weeks later I receive a bill from Dr. Atkins office for $110. Confused, I called the billing department and had to leave several messages over a period of time before someone finally called me back. Turns out that Dr. Atkins' office considers sticking a light up my nose surgery. It was billed to the insurance as a surgical procedure and therefore my copay would increase to $150 total. So bottom line is I had to pay $150, not $40, for 10 minutes with a PA for him to look up my nose with a light and tell me that it is irritated. If the office knows what they do in follow up visits after a sinuplasty, and that it is considered "surgery" and not a regular doctor visit, they need to warn patients of the actual cost of the visit beforehand. I would not recommend this doctor if you do not want to be deceived! read more
