Because of this, we felt as though there was quite a lot of nicks in our trim and they had to come back and make some other changes they forgot on the job. More communication AFTER the job would have been appreciated. We had to follow up about billing and the problems. There was no formal walk through or call from the office to see how we liked the floors. I understand the office was busy, but some acknowledgment of our communication would have put us more at ease. They did reimburse us a very small amount for the little damages.

He arrived on time, and was very thorough -- checking under the carpet to assess the plywood, and going beneath the house to check out the floorboards. He also gave the quote on-site, using his ipad, and emailing it to us immediately. Again, Jarek arrived on time for each appointment. On the first day, he and a partner took out the carpet and laid down the oak to level with our other hardwoods. The second day, they closed off the room with plastic to do the sanding and keep it contained. Then, Jarek came back to stain and seal. I had 3 conversations; one conversation as soon as the job was "complete" expressing my dissatisfaction with the 2 inch gap left between the tile and the window; second conversation on the phone and the third again at the job site. He adamantly refused to complete the job and make it right and offered no resolution except recommending that I fill the 2 inch gap with caulk or drywall mud. I had a general contractor look at this and that is not a solution that would make this right. The tile on the floor looks great. Steve made a choice to have an dissatisfied customer versus simply adding a few pieces of tile to the side matching the top.
