This company has no good response to the issues I've raised, and it's further reason to not hire them to hire someone to do your move. They canceled about an hour before they should have been at the house and offered a date 7 days later. I've never had the luxury of moving out of a house with a weeks worth of flexibility. Usually, we move out and new folks move in a day or two later. Must be nice to not have to coordinate with your buyers! Also, no amount of discount - they offered 25% off - would help when WE HAD TO BE OUT IN 2 DAYS. Also, I had reserved 6 movers and two trucks. They called the afternoon before to say they only had 3 movers and one truck; they would be there the next morning for sure and they would try to find another truck/crew. That had to be a lie. The one driver who was contacted "on the app" that night called to say there was no truck and no crew. This is just a broker - they don't move people. They hire movers for you. And worse, they commit to business they are not sure they can do - kind of like an airline that oversells a flight; the difference is, if you take a bump, you still travel that day or the next - you don't wait a week. To out a finer point on this: this is a failure of market logic. My move was going to be about 2500$ and I assume their algorithm decided they could make more money servicing other reservations. To be clear: this was not people getting sick or a truck breaking down. This was a planned possibility - it's the business model. They may be better at canceling sooner most of the time, but this cost me at least $3000 more than the price they quoted. Their explanation/ defense is nonsense - they use business vernacular, none of which changes the fact that I PAID A DEPOSIT AND MADE THE RESERVATION TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE. You'd have to be desperate or crazy to use this company...
