I purchased a dishwasher a couple of months ago. It's the BEST dishwasher I've ever had. John Payne showed me the dishwashers available and explained the pros and cons of each. I had decided to go with a nice dishwasher after having so many issues with the last two I bought. John said he has the Bosch. I decided to go that route too. I have no complaints. That dishwasher cleaned a pit that had been used to cook oatmeal and sat for four days. Amazing. We had an appointment on November 12 to shop for new appliances for our kitchen remodel. We were assigned to Starla Stubbs as our sales person. We picked out everything and were told we would have a quote at the beginning of the next week. It has now been over two weeks and we have heard nothing back. I even sent a follow up e-mail to her a week later with no reply. We just spend over $17,000 on new appliances at another appliance store. I can't understand how a sales company stays in business if this is how they treat customers. read more

After trying to work with several other appliance stores around the city, someone finally recommended Howard Payne. We've had a top level experience with them from start to finish! Given the global shortages of everything and the huge demand, we had terrible luck at other places. Sales people raising prices they quoted to us the day before, or ignoring us once we started asking too many questions and giving them 'work'. HP had none of that. We got quick responses to questions and quotes, and a truly excellent install experience! I would recommend them to anyone. read more

A NICE OPTION! We visited this showroom today to look at their kitchen appliances. They had a nice open showroom and we were able to browse at our leisure. Although they had all of the top lines represented, we wanted more. I really would have appreciated seeing a card displayed next to appliances providing dimensions, available finishes and price. They did not have this available and I don't like having to hunt someone down in order to get this basic information. Much of what I saw, (particularly in the higher end models), reminded me of something I might see in an industrial kitchen serving inmates. Appliances just seem to be getting larger and bulkier so that they tend to overshadow other structures. I want to maintain a more balanced aesthetic and need more appropriately sized options. Also, it is important for me to find a complete suite, (standard appliances with same manufacturer), with my must haves: induction cooktop, wall oven with a side door and convection microwave, and a super quiet dishwasher. This has proven difficult. Unfortunately we did not find what we were looking for today but would definitely recommend Henry Payne's as a place to get inspired and to examine several appliance brands at once. I can't give this appliance store enough stars. Jeff Payne has a great family company he takes pride in. He was direct & honest and wasn't trying to sell me the most expensive dishwasher he had. The pricing with delivery and removal of our old product was reasonable. Delivered on time when promised. Completely opposite experience compared to a Sandy Springs appliance store where we had to get our money back for no dishwasher and lack of communication for over 6 months. Our Bosch is working beautifully. I will be back Jeff Payne when my fridge dies. That is for sure! read more

We had Thermador double steam oven installed 6 months ago and then steam feature never worked. Neither Thermador nor Howard Payne has been helpful. We have been incredibly patient but it's been 6 months and nothing has been done. Avoid this company and avoid Thermador. Pandemic is one thing but there were multiple solutions to this and all parties refused to help us with any of them. Just terrible. read more

Avoid them - customer service is abysmal. Our brand new dishwasher has been out more than 50% of the time since we bought it from them. They just bounce you from service to sales until you give up. Took 3 weeks to have a tech come out the first time to tell us they installed it wrong the first time. Worked for a week, then broke again. We've called them over a dozen times since then, leaving messages with no attempt to call us back. Go elsewhere and save your sanity! read more

This company prides themselves on customer service and I have to say, they did not dissapoint. I had a special situation with my Bosch refrigerator (unfortunately did not purchase at HPC) where I needed a replacement. I spoke with Jeff Payne regarding the installation and I could immediately tell from the conversation that my experience would be 100% better than my experience with my previous installer. The two Blakes came out and were friendly, professional and in control of the process. They measured to ensure the best entry point to get the fridge upstairs to the kitchen. When the install was complete, they made sure I was satisfied with everything before they considered the job complete. I couldn't have asked for better service. I came to Howard Payne after having a terrible experience with a big box store, while I was in the middle of a move after an unexpected divorce. The big box store was insisting on delivering my new appliances to my ex's home instead of my new house because of fears about "fraud". It was a nightmare trying to get customer support to straighten out the problem that I didn't need in the middle of all the personal upheaval. A friend who had used Howard Payne during a major remodel gave me their name and suggested I visit them instead. Initially, the impression was great. They have a large, shiny, impressive looking showroom with many high end luxury brands. It seemed like a place that catered to the McMansion crowd, but the receptionist assured me that they served everyone. She called a salesman out to help me and I told him I needed a washer and dryer. He took me into a smaller back room where their average appliances were and showed me a Whirlpool set. It seemed like the one I had previously owned so we went to his office and settled up. The price was exorbitant, and I had to pay a significant fee for the delivery and installation, both of which were free with the big box store, but I was happy to support an independently owned appliance store that sold American made products. There was another drawback: I would have to wait two weeks for the delivery, instead of the following day like the big box store promised. All of these things-- the exorbitant prices of the appliances, the delivery, and installation were pretty major inconveniences, and the two week wait for installation seemed like an added hassle, but I was sure the attention to customer service would make up for that. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Two weeks later, just after the the installers had gone, I noticed that the washer and dryer were nothing at all like the ones the salesman showed me in the showroom. They were very basic models with no extras, though their cost did not reflect it at all. Not including the delivery and installation, the washer and dryer each averaged about 1,000.00 each, not exactly bargain priced. As I was deeply feeling the irritation of having been duped, I received a call from Howard Payne. I was still under the illusion that I was dealing with a company that cared about their customers. Foolishly, I thought they were following up to see if the installation had gone smoothly. Instead there was an addled woman on the phone telling me that when I was in on Saturday and they had run my credit card, the payment had not gone through their system. When I told her that I had not been in on Saturday, but rather two weeks previously and had paid in full at the time of purchase, she urged me to give her my credit card number again. When I refused, she said she would check again and call me back. In the meantime I checked with my credit card company and they assured me that the payment had, in fact, gone through. A little while later the addled woman called back insisting that they had not received the payment. I asked to speak to her supervisor, who turned out to have been the same guy who sold me the appliances two weeks before. I told him that I was very dissatisfied, not only with the service I had received but also with the appliances, which were nothing like the ones he'd shown me. I suggested he could refund my money and come pick up the appliances, and that would resolve the issue. "That's not gonna happen" he scoffed, and though he clearly remembered the transaction from two weeks before he demanded that I send him a copy of the receipt. I had just that very week moved into my new house and had no idea where the receipt was packed. Somehow their incompetence had become my problem. I texted him a screenshot of the credit card transaction and never heard a peep from them. No apologies, no follow up to let me know they had received the payment. Nothing but crickets. In the meantime, the appliances Jeffrey Payne sold me several months ago have been every bit as crappy as the the service and attitude I received from them. It was a lose-lose all the way around and I will never use them again. read more

This company is simply the BEST! We had a builder installed, high end built in refrigerator that was experiencing serious issues not worth the investment to attempt to repair it after 15 years. After lots of research we landed on a new Sub Zero refrigerator. Sub Zero/Wolf referred us to Mr. Jeffery Payne from the HowardPayne Company. The entire experience with the Howard Payne Company has been the best customer service experience ever!!! From Mr Payne assisting with identifying built in refrigerators that would fit in our space, to the delivery team Aaron brought in that took the utmost care with our home, the delivery, removal and installation of our new Sub Zero built in 36" refrigerator. He even gave us maintenance tips and walked us through some of the awesome things our new Sun Zero can do! The administrative team was exceptional as well! We ended up with a Sub Zero refrigerator we wouldn't have initially picked for ourselves. But Jeffrey Payne's willingness to understand exactly what our needs were, his attention to detail and patient explanations, ultimately allowed us to realize what would be the best options for us in our home! Our refrigerator arrived today and we are over the moon delighted with this entire experience from the initial phone call to today's delivery! Oh, and the Sub Zero is hands down the BEST refrigerator ever! If you are fortunate enough to deal with this company you will be so glad you did!!! I will be back whenever any future appliances need to be replaced. We simply couldn't be happier and there is nothing else this company could have done to improve this experience. We were hoping for a larger selection of high end options to replace our microwave and oven located together in a cabinet, but COVID caused options to be more limited than expected. Some items in the showroom weren't available, and orders were taking 2+ months for delivery. We ultimately settled for a product based mostly on its availability / timing. When Howard Payne knew we didn't have an operational microwave for so long and the delivery date was pushed out twice, they were kind enough to discuss this with another customer awaiting an entire kitchen of appliances still on backorder, but their oven combo had arrived. The customer graciously allowed us to move forward with our one appliance installation from their received items, saving us a LOT of inconvenience longer term. HP going out of their way to problem solve for us was greatly appreciated! Their installation guys were on time, efficient and no changes were needed to the cabinet.
