I drank raspberry leaf tea and did okra suppositories for all 9 months. 12:01am on my due date hit, my water broke and I went from 0 to 10 cm within 30 seconds. That bitch shot out like the greased pig through my arms on a slip n'slide at vacation bible school in the summer of '03. This place is kush. Push??? Baby will damn near fall out thanks to them. 10/10 reccomend. Hubby and I were in and out in under and hour and a half. Didn't even have time to fill the pool.

The Atlanta Birth Center Staff is compassionate, professional, knowledgeable, supportive, and treats us like family. The style of care we received here was incredible- I wouldn't change anything about my experience. Each staff member is understanding, patient and kind. My husband and I fell in love with the facility because we were desiring a low intervention and peaceful birth for our son. We received that and so much more. I feel strong and empowered- as a woman, as a mother and as a human being. Each person at Atlanta Birth Center play a very special role in those amazing feelings- I will always carry my experience and the relationships established here close to my heart. The gentle and caring approach I received during my pregnancy resulted in the most beautiful birth of my son. Thank you ABC Team; I am so thankful for you all. Check them out if you want to be heard, respected and taken care of. There are three amazing birthing rooms with birthing tubs, a large bed for the whole family, beautiful tile shower, and perfect bassinet for baby- the comfort of giving birth in the nicest place EVER but the amenities and expertise of a hospital- but better. Hard to describe how incredible this place truly is. You will feel confident and comfortable here; the midwives are beyond qualified and will take excellent care of you! Go experience a tour. Beautiful facility. Beautiful Midwives, Beautiful Nurses, and Beautiful Staff.

Before we left to go home.

The Atlanta Birthing Center made my wish for a water birth come true! I was in labor for 24hrs and when I was admitted to the birthing center I felt so safe and able to finally be comfortable (as comfortable as you can be considering). My significant other, sister, and doula were all able to be there for support! I hope to be able to have all of my children there!

I did not call your office to request any change, nor did I receive any confirmation email or phone call regarding this rescheduling. When I contacted your office to ask about this issue, I was told that the change was made at the patient's request, which is incorrect. I clearly stated that I did not request any change and asked how my appointment could be moved without my authorization or notification. Despite this, I was informed that nothing could be done, even though the mistake was not mine. I then politely requested that the staff check with the doctor to see if I could come at any time on my original appointment date, as I am flexible. I was told that the staff member would check with the doctor and call me back. Unfortunately, I never received a call. When I followed up later the same day, I was told that the staff member was still "in a meeting with the provider." When I called again several hours later, I was told to hold, and then informed that she "did not mean to call" me at all. This response was extremely dismissive and disrespectful. As of now, I am still waiting for a callback. The lack of communication, accountability, and basic courtesy from the front desk staff has been very disappointing. This situation reflects very poorly on your office's patient service standards. I hope this matter can be reviewed seriously and corrected as soon as possible. I would appreciate confirmation of my appointment status and an explanation of how this situation occurred.

This makes me feel like I'm not in a Vag Factory, as I have felt elsewhere, and as though she actually gave a flip to get to know me. A little foreplay before the real deal goes a long way! In all seriousness though, she is very easy to talk to and made me feel as comfortable as one can be considering the, uh, angle of conversation. In a few years my husband and I will be ready to try for children and this is definitely who I want to delivery our baby. She's just got a warm and inviting personality. Love, love, love her. Sidenote: the front desk staff at Piedmont OBGYN can be a little spastic because it's a busy practice and I've felt a little uncomfortable during a couple of phone conversations - as though I was really inconveniencing them by calling. HOWEVER, Dr. Combs' personal secretary Morgan is sweet, efficient and awesome. Once you are an established patient, you really only have to deal with the front desk for scheduling changes, but all of the pertinent stuff - follow-up questions, insurance questions, etc. - can be done through Morgan, thank Goodness.

I started visiting the practice with my second pregnancy after switching from Kaiser over to another insurance provider. This practice shares on call shifts with another OBGYN practice, unfortunately I ended up with one of their doctors I was forced to have a c-section although I had no issues with my labor. It was very late at night and the doctor was clearly very tired, and wanting to sleep. I complained every day about extreme pain and asked to see her on multiple occasions, she showed up on day 5 post surgery and told me to take morphine - said it would have little to no effect on baby while breastfeeding. I chose not to take the risk. She never looked at my incision. The pain continued, I followed up with her in the office less than one week later because my pain was 10/10 and my incision was really bothering me. Again she dismissed the pain by saying it was normal and pushed morphine on me - I declined. They never checked my temperature, blood pressure, or urine during that visit. A few hours later my blood pressure and temperature spiked, concerned about my well being I left my baby and went to the ER. ER doc ran some imaging and said I had a severe infection that had spread across my lower and upper abdomen, this would've been visible to any doctor who had taken a look at my incision. As a parent and doctor, he said he would've never been okay with his own wife breastfeeding an infant while taking morphine. I received great treatment from him, and he actually called me on 3 different occasions to see how I was doing! My baby's pediatrician even called twice to make sure I was recovering okay. I had before been used to gynecologists who were in and out with the physical exam so quickly that I felt like part of an assembly line. He asked questions, listened to my lifestyle (Poly and Bi )(without judgement) and gave me advice. I have/had multiple female issues from PCOS to endometriosis and being morbidly obese. He trusted me to know myself but was always there through each biopsy, and procedure with his calm reassurance. He makes you feel like you're important, almost like family. I still remember years ago when he performed my D&C that I felt happy to be in his hands because he had music playing in the OR. I still remember it was Ed Sheeran. For some reason, that calmed me. When my most recent biopsy came back cancerous he went to a colleague of his that he had complete faith could handle this surgery and all of my risks.(which are numerous.)
