We drove 2 1/2 hours one way to get there because we need a visa for China. It was quite a wait, no appointments are needed, except on Saturdays. The bathroom key is on the wall in the office so if you need the bathroom, don't be surprised when all the doors are locked down the hall. They were helpful, filled out all our paperwork for us, took our pictures, it took about 2 1/2 hours. Not cheap, $770 for two phases and we have to wait 6 to 8 weeks to get them. read more

I'd probably have given the China Visa Office 4 and 1/2 stars, but the 1/2 isn't an option. The website is EXTREMELY suspect and the building where it's located is very nondescript, but the woman that took my visa application for processing was UBER pleasant and helpful. If you forget your copy of the front page of your passport and your driver's license, they will make the copy for you free of cost. I made the mistake of leaving my actual travel voucher and brought my travel itinerary instead, but was able to e-mail her my actual voucher right there on site, from my phone - BANG!!! They will also take your visa photo for $5, if you don't have 1 or are unable to get 1 before going to the office. Don't let your American sensibilities and cultural expectations throw you off. With the nearest consulate office being in Houston and your options being otherwise limited, enjoy the ride and think about the final destination! read more

Yes, it's kinda weird. Yes, the website is from a time gone by. But this place makes it happen. I worked with Sienna and she was fantastic. She reviews the paperwork, takes the pic, makes sure everything is correct. She made copies for me that I didn't bring with. Do your research beforehand and come prepared - if you do, it will literally take less than 10 minutes. I went on a Saturday morning and had zero waiting. Walk in and say "I need a china visa" and they'll start right away. Yes, you leave your passport there. They text you when it is returned and you go get it. Mine took 10 days total. I started my experience with this company through their error filled website. I initially thought it was a phishing site, and I still don't trust it completely because of the mistakes. I thought the actual only place in this city to get a Chinese visa would be more modern, beautiful, accurate and well organized. The visa office is located on the second floor of a nondescript office building (see photos). It was really not visually appealing and completely outdated. The inside of the office is very small. As soon as I opened the door, I was inside an office full of chairs, paperwork and people. It seemed like only 2 women were working in the office on that day, but it wasn't very busy. I was taken in very quickly and all of my information was processed quickly, almost too quickly, because she made a mistake that I pointed out and she fixed. Also, while she was holding my American passport, she asked me if I was American. Why would she do that? I can only assume... I know she didn't intend to offend me, but I was disappointed with that question and it only made me more concerned about the legitimacy of their company. There is a $5 charge for using credit card and I was already about to pay around $200 so I went to the ATM down the street to get cash and made sure to get a receipt for the cash. I chose the "multiple entries valid for 1 year from the date of issue" visa, and I'm happy I did. They kept my passport because the visa is actually affixed onto a page. I was worried about this, but I received my passport and visa in the two weeks they said it would take. I returned to the office to pick it up, but they have an option of sending it in the mail. I have returned from China and I didn't have any trouble with my visa or passport entering or exiting the country. I was concerned about this company, but in the end, everything turned out alright. This is really our only option in the state, so take it or leave it, but as the stars say "Meh. I've experienced better". read more

Thank God for another Elite yelper submitting a review, because nothing about the website or the location would make you think that this is a legit place to leave your passport and identifiable information, but it is legit and honestly your only option if you want to get a China Visa in Georgia. Although the office looks a little sketchy the customer service was great. The people working in the office do whatever they can to help you submit your application correctly. I had printed out my travel itinerary ahead of time to submit with my application, but it didn't have all of the information that was needed, so they allowed me to email them the full itinerary packet from my travel agent right then and there and printed out the necessary documents for me. Also, they have a computer at the office for customers, so if you don't fill out an application ahead of time, you can fill it out in the office. I was a little scared to leave my passport at the office (which is required, because the visa goes inside your passport), but sure enough in about 2 1/2 weeks I got a call the my visa was granted and that I could pick up my passport. Sidenote/Tip: If you have an extra passport picture, you can use that versus paying them to take another picture of you. Update: I originally gave this location 3 stars based on the office, but actually the service I received bumps it up to 4 stars read more

Does the job!! I was heading out of the country to China in 2 months, and stopped by their office for help with my VISA application. Before arriving, I had already pre-filled a VISA application with my information. After a wait (it was busy on a Saturday afternoon), I was able to finish my application with 5 minutes. I dropped of my completed application, passport and check; they took a picture of me (this is included in the visa application price) and I was on my way. A week later, they texted me letting me know that my visa was ready for pick up. The pick up was really quick, took less than 2 minutes. I will note that the office is in a sketchy building, one that you would see in a horror movie as it is very quiet, empty, and one where I wouldn't dare venture into the restrooms or stairway. But nonetheless, I have my visa to China (unlimited entries that lasts 10 years). Plus, I can say that it worked since I traveled to Beijing for a trip in November and am back in the states! read more

I needed a visa to go to China for work. I went to their website and completed the forms and reviewed the info that explains the documentation that you need for the visa. Then I took everything to their offices. The young lady at the reception reviewed the documentation. I paid her and a week and a half later the visa arrived. I drove back to the office and picked it up. I mean straight forward. Don't worry about the what people say about the office. Its just an office to get the job done. Yup there is a $5 charge to use a credit card but so what, it offsets the cost the credit card company charges them, so they are just passing the cost on to you, like everyone else does. Since I have a 10 year visa I probably won't use them again for a while, but I would have no reservation to do so. read more

I am having my visa processed for a trip to China in two months, and stopped by the China Visa Office for help today. The building and parking lot is exactly like the previous comments: nondescript (a little shady), eerily quiet, and desolate. If not for the posters of China Airlines flight attendants outside the front door, I'd have turned away. But in true Chinese fashion (function over appearance), the folks here at the visa office were surprisingly friendly and helpful. The office was not much to look at, just like the building, but we're obviously not there for their decor. The folks at the office happily answered my questions, and from my brief visit, I felt confident that they were efficient, reliable and knowledgeable. I'd recommend them. Regarding the previous comment about being charged $5 for using a credit card, I can tell you that it's a common Asian practice, nothing to complain about, similar to our gas stations charging a different price for cash. I arrived at 1 in the afternoon on a Saturday and was out by 1:20!! It was so fast. I waited 10 minutes and then it took 10 minutes to review the paperwork and take the visa photo. This visit was for a 10-year tourist visa for a US Passport Holder. It is a small office that only has five seats in the lobby. They do take your passport for two weeks while the visa is being processed so you cannot travel out of the country while your visa is processing. My main point of advice is to review their website and get your paperwork in order. Read everything. Details matter. The service was friendly but focused in getting the work done. I originally called a different visa service company in Atlanta when I tried to apply for my visa to China but the personnel there was so unprofessional, I didn't trust them to handle my passport. Luckily I searched online and found China Visa Atlanta Office at Chamblee. The service was efficient and David was detailed oriented. He even called to verify the last names vs. first names on our application forms due to the unique way a Malaysian passport list the orders of our names. When the passport came back less than a week, they texted us as well as left us a voice mail to come pick up. The fact that they are opened on Saturdays was super convenient for me. No need to skip work to get my visa! Also worth noting is that while at the office during my initial appointment, I also saw the personnel there helping clients with different visa issues and their attitude were very helpful. One girl was not sure if her itinerary needs a transit visa and David gave her advice accordingly. I can tell he cared about the people whether they ended up applying for a Chinese visa or not. This place might have a shady website and exterior, but they get the job done quickly and efficiently. I called before coming, and they made it pretty clear it wouldn't be an issue if I dropped off my visa packet within a few minutes of closing, which was nice. I arrived and was serviced immediately. The woman was helpful, checked my packet, and talked me through the next steps, and even changed my application to allow me to re-enter the country for 10 years as opposed to a single entry at no additional cost (she explained recent rule changes made this possible). This was nice and I wouldn't necessarily have expected them to do this without any prompting. Within less than a week I got a text telling me my visa was ready for pickup. They will even allow my wife to pick it up since she works in the area. My only complaint is that a couple things on the website/application could be a little clearer (maybe an instruction sheet, which I found on another site). The hours could also be a bit more user friendly. But overall I really had no issues with this company, and they were extremely helpful at every point of interaction. read more

Very quick service. Fiona responded to my million questions via emails and was amazing and efficient when we finally went to drop off the applications. Note, they are so good they pretty much handle everything for you in terms of filling out the applications, so don't stress. Just make sure you have the tickets, hotel etc ready. One of the easiest visa processes I've ever gone through. Super quick, convenient and reasonably priced

The most important thing about this location is how fast and professional they are. You will not find a better service in Georgia, but that is not what makes them truly special. The people here genuinely care about the visitors and often help with missing documents or papers that need to be printed, the man in charge is one of the most friendly and knowledgeable professionals I have ever met. This is even more special considering the fact that he deals with rushed and temperamental people on a daily basis as a part of the job, yet has the patience and professionalism to continue operating at an amazing level. I came to them on Tuesday the 28th with my work permit in hand, needing to have the visa before my flight on the 6th of the following month. With labor day happening the following Monday, my hope of a speedy process was dwindling but the lady helping me reassured me that the visa would be ready to pick up by Wednesday the 5th regardless of the labor day weekend and sure enough, it was there ready for me to pick up just like she said. These folks are incredible. I travel internationally quite a bit, and have had to get many expedited visas. Most often, you submit paperwork with no room for error. if there is a problem with any of it, they simply deny the visa. Not only did I arrive close to their closing time, but I was also very close to the cutoff date to submit the visa to be able to travel in time with no issues. There were two ladies working. One had an American accent and the other Chinese. They were both very nice, but I specifically spoke to the consular officer that was from China. She took this late submission and went through the entire visa application, made a few corrections and helped with certain verbiage. She was INCREDIBLE. At the end, after submitting, I asked if they were private or governmental, she told me that she was a service provider and not an official consulate. I tried to give her a little something to say thank you, so that she might get a cup of coffee on me tomorrow morning or something as my gratitude, but she just said "shishi (thank you)" and graciously declined my gift. I Did not think I would ever be writing a review for a consular office, but I could not leave the parking lot without jotting a few comments in the hopes that others see this and use their services, and this wonderfully hardworking and diligent worker receives the lauding that she deserves from her higherups . The stuff there was very friendly and I was impressed with the efficiency and accuracy of the service. Chinese visa has very strict photo requirements and I was worried where to get the photo taken. Then I found out that this office takes the photo for you and it made the whole process so much easy. I received our visas within a little more than 1 week. This place was awesome. It's a little ways up Buford highway but the process is very easy. The building is a nondescript old looking building in the middle of a weird parking lot and the building itself is a little bit run down inside but other than that this has been a great process and there is no need to worry about whether the job will get done. I'm assuming that most folks who read this will be looking for a normal tourist visa from the United States so I'll share my experience. Basically what you do is you show up with all of the documents that are listed on the website which is not super hard to pull together I think it's basically like your passport and drivers license. You pay the consulate fee and you pay a small fee for the service and basically what they do is they take your passport fill out an application for you with their attendance unless you have filled it out ahead of time and then they manually transport it to the consulate which I think is in Texas. Within a week or so it will be back and hopefully approved. That being said probably a good idea to schedule things about two months in advance as recommended by the Chinese consulate website. I know that for most folks it is very weird to give your passport to someone but I will say that in this case it's what is required because the consulate has to see your actual passport. Basically just have a little bit of trust that it will work out even though in most situations you would not give up your passport. If you don't have a picture they will take a digital picture of you in the office. The whole process is a little bit informal especially when you compare it to what is the common process that most Americans experience re-entering the United States with their own passport. Don't compare it to a high-pressure situation with border agents or consular officers. Even though the folks in the office are laid-back they help you circumvent waiting in line and having to do an appointment in Texas to get your visa. Overall I was very pleased with the service and found the folks at the office to be very nice and to also be encouraging of my first trip to China. By the way I believe the hours listed for the yelp listing here are incorrect so make sure that you go to the website or call the office ahead of time to check the hours as they may change. read more
