Their quote was far less than other companies but their workmanship is far superior than any other screen porches and decks that I have seen that have been built by other companies. Dana was our project manager and he went above and beyond to help us pick our fan and our lighting! I had no idea what I was doing and even on the weekend he answered my texts!! Really nice job on a four rail wood fence for our backyard. We are picky and found a couple issues, things that might not be issues for some, and the crew came back and took care of it. We had several quotes and all were for about the same price, but not the same materials. One example, others used 4x4s for posts vs 4x6s. read more

Excellent work by Atlanta Decking and Fence who completed our project of turning a 2nd floor window into a 2nd floor entrance. The deck and stairs are beautiful, solid, exceed our expectations, and passed City of Roswell inspection without a hitch. The French doors that replaced the existing window operate and lock smoothly and silently. The door framing, shimming, and weatherproofing have us fully satisfied. HORRIBLE!! Do not use this company. Sure they built us a beautiful deck, however they caused damage to our house during the project and didn't have the professionalism nor integrity to tell us about it. Once we found the damage, it had been repaired incorrectly with the potential to cause even more damage to our home. I reached out the the owner and the project supervisor, both of whom were not at all interested in doing anything to make it right for us with customers and only continued to tell us excuse after excuse. I have never experienced such horrible customer service, especially considering we had just given them 10k worth of business! Horrible! read more

I am a little delayed in writing this review. Dave & his company build my first deck and porch in 1996. It went across the back of the house, with part of it under a gable roof and another section that accommodated a hot tub. Beautiful piece of work and it was a real masterpiece. After seeing it, many of my neighbors hired him to build decks, porches, and even rooms onto their homes. 20 years later, I had the deck reconfigured without the hot tub and also had the exposed decking boards and rails replaced. The covered portion was in beautiful condition and only needed to be sanded and re-stained. It looked like it did the day it was built. I then moved to Lake Lanier and called on the team again. This time we built a 3 story covered deck, the lower part enclosed with EZ-BREEZE. The upper deck has an exposed section with an outdoor fireplace as well as another section that is covered. The craftsmanship is amazing. These are real professionals. And by the way, that was 2 years ago and I have not had a single problem - not even 1 call back. ADF is a class act, from the salesman (Rod) to the crew, to the office staff who coordinated everything. My house is 60+ years old. A deck was added to it in the 70's, and it lasted a long time. In the early aughts, my partner and I hired a guy (yeah, "a guy") to come replace it, as it was getting a bit rotten and dangerous. When he removed all the decking material, though, he said our supports and joists were still in good shape, so he just replaced the decking boards and rails. You get what you pay for, of course. That deck lasted about 10 years. Now it was time to take the whole shebang off and rebuild, so we hunkered down and started getting quotes. The current deck at the time was the entire length of the rear of the house. One place told me I needed to cut the deck in half and go with a paver patio to save money. My partner and I considered that for a moment, and then we said to each other, "What's fun about getting less deck?" ADF came in at a reasonable price and a nice, solid, good-looking design. Rod told us we could, indeed, save a bit of green by cutting the deck off 3/4 of the way down the house, but we agree that we would always step out on it and complain that we should have taken it all the way down, so we decided not to reduce any deck space. He helped us maximize the space and add a pergola for a bit of shade. One whole side was to be a privacy fence, too. Once we made the decision to hire ADF, we never regretted it. They showed up when they promised to, demolished the old deck and hauled it all away, and came back the next day and started building. The crew was the same for the whole job and couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating to our questions. We tried to stay out of their way. There was a rain delay, and a last-minute permit problem, but they came out and made the adjustments needed. The quality of craftmanship is excellent, from beveled edges on exposed boards to fitting the pergola onto the corner of the house perfectly. And let me tell you, this thing is as sturdy as an NFL linebacker on steroids. I don't know what the weight rating is, but it has an intense foundation and reinforcements. If there's ever a tornado coming at my house, I'm going out and getting under the deck--basement be damned! I'm very pleased with the work of this company and felt that the price was reasonable and well worth it. I know we will be enjoying our new deck for decades. Or maybe..."deck"ades. Ha, ha. Sooo far not impressed with the lack of communication and poor customer service. I called on Tuesday for an estimate and was only able to leave a voice messsge. Their recorded message says they will get back to you within 24 hours. That is not true. They did not call me back until Thursday afternoon at 1 PM. Unfortunately I missed their call and tried to call them back within 30 minutes. I tried repeatedly to call them back and speak to a person however I just kept getting the message that they'll get back to me within 24 hours. No live person to talk to no operator to talk to. After this experience I can only imagine what my service would be like with an actual deck and roof installation. read more

Atlanta decking did a fantastic job. We wanted to enclose the area under our deck to make it an excellent worshop/garden shed. They transformed a previously unusable and unsightly space under our deck into a beautiful finished and watertight space that enhanced the usability and appearance of our terrace level. The additional space enabled us to clear out the enormous amount of yard tools, equipment and supplies from our garage. They are extremely professional and were reasonably price. We had AD&F do a deck for us several years ago and it turned out beautiful. So, when it came to get a new fence we called on AD&F for the job. Quick for an estimate, designed a fence to match the detail on the gate we had previously installed, ad tied all the exterior wood together in a fabulous design. AD&F is not necessarily the cheapest out there, but they are reliable & dependable, do the work when they say they will, provide a quality finished project, and best of all, they offer suggestions and options. Others we have tried dealing with in the past will price or do what we want, but don't offer up any options.... Example - when we built the deck we knew we wanted iron pickets, AD&F came back and offered the suggestion of using copper plumbing pipe - more cost effective and the weathering and patina of it is absolutely amazing. And years later, when we had an issue with the handrail, Dave came back out and replaced the top rail, no questions asked and no charge. Great to work with an honest company that does what they say they are going to do. read more

Avoid this company at all costs. What should have been a 1-2 week job took them three months to finish. They broke the job into three smaller jobs, failed to give quotes for the different pieces of the project and then gave us the runaround for over a month as to when they were going to finish the job. They repeatedly gave us dates when they were going to finish and failed to show up. They left trash in our yard and repeatedly left the gate open, so our dog got out several times. We spoke to a supervisor on several occasions and they apologized but nothing changed. I would not use them again due to a complete lack of professionalism. read more

We just had our privacy fence replaced with a 6ft capped privacy fence. Their price was more than competitive than the two other companies that we called. The materials and craftsmanship are very solid. They said they would have the job done in two days and they did, even though they started day two late due to storms. They also cleaned up very well!
