It has our first letter initials engraved in the bottom of the ring. You can only see it when I take off the ring, so it's just a little something extra special and personal that I know is there. Izzy, Ditza and Andrew did an amazing job of designing and crafting my wedding bands. When I first walked into Atlanta Diamond Design, I only had a picture in my mind of what I wanted my rings to look like. I explained I wanted multiple bands that I could stack in various ways around my engagement ring and that I didn't want any of them to match; I wanted each ring to be unique. I tried on several but none were exactly what I wanted. With Ditza's help and guidance, we tweaked the designs of the rings to fit the look I wanted. Based on my descriptions, Izzy handmade all three of my wedding bands. They came out gorgeous and were exactly what I wanted! I couldn't be happier. Izzy is incredibly talented and Ditza and Andrew were so helpful in designing my rings. My husband and I will be using Atlanta Diamond Design for all of our jewelry needs! read more

This review is based on the 2nd experience in dealing with Izzy the owner. Our previous experience was having a rather expensive watch cleaned and polished. This experience stems out of the virus shutdown and tight time line for a new beginning. After several calls to other establishments for service of a 6 prong diamond ring setting, many businesses were not accepting outside repairs. In an effort to bring a couple together for an engagement at the end of May. I had to get an 75 year old solitaire setting reset for the next generation of the family to continue the tradition. In working with Izzy, he suggested that a new 6 point setting be purchased and installed instead of using the existing 6 point setting that was still on the band portion of the ring. His point was valid, that the setting was older and that the prongs were weak given the age of the piece. The cost of that charge was $250, 14K gold. The repair would take 10 days approximately. Towards the end of the conversation, Izzy offered to inspect some jewelry pieces that had come to me through work that was completed for services that I donated. I said, ok, we'll work on that when I come pick up the ring. The ring was completed, we were called, and the soon to be groom came with me to pick up the ring. The groom was late, an hour late, but Izzy did fulfill my request to help me decide what was junk and what was not. We got into a discussion on a cross that I was looking to have created but when he mentioned a $900 cost associated with that cross, it became a finished conversation. He quickly excused himself to help other customers, since the groom still wasn't there, I understood his need to make other money. The groom finally arrived. Izzy took a little time with the groom to explain the ring. I asked for the groom to look at the diamond through a microscope. Izzy mentioned that he only had a loop. He had a microscope at a different location. We then discussed a mapping of the stone and an appraisal. All of that had to be done at a different location. The groom pays for the reset solitaire, however the original 6 prong setting from the ring is not returned. This doesn't sit well with me, since the diamond and the band setting are returned. Why is it that all pieces are not being returned? Especially if a "new" prong setting was being paid for. The additional charges of appraisal and mapping are happily paid to the other store location. My meeting with the groom ends. As I am returning home, I have to once again pass by the original location off of exit 13. I get off the highway, park the car, and walk back into The Collection store location. I walk to the back of the store. Izzy is still there, I thank him for his assistance earlier in the day but am dismayed that the original prong setting was not returned, since supposedly a NEW one was purchased. Izzy then tells me that I have a lot of nerve to come back and ask for something that originally belonged to me. He then tells me that I am a "TAKER". That he measured me up earlier and that I needed to leave his store. I told him that he stole the gold piece. He said, "You want to see how big a piece you coming back for?" He goes to the back room. Brings out a stud earring setting. Having been in jewelry in my earlier days, I know the difference. I said, "You made the groom pay for a new setting. The original gold piece doesn't belong to you." He admitted that he recycles the old gold. Coincidentally, gold was trading at an all time high on that day, he mentioned when we were evaluating the misc. jewelry earlier. This is theft!! I pointed out to him. I said, " You know that review that you wanted me to write for helping me with the jewelry, you just wait until I write it." I told him that I wasn't the only person being sized up. Whether he knew it or not, I was interviewing him as much as he was "helping" me. So, buyer beware. My deduction of this interaction, is unless you are willing to be snowed over by the owner, Izzy, this is not a reciprocal jewelry business. My most disturbing statement that I heard from the mouth of Izzy, is his statement, as he said, " I didn't change the stone." I never, not once, brought it up, however it was alarming during the appraisal process that the DIA True machine did not show the diamond to be blue like it showed my own engagement ring to be an actual diamond. Is this an admission of his own guilt? Maybe. Should it be true, he then took a 74 year old European cut diamond, which are worth more than a regular cut solitaire. I will not be going back, EVER. read more

So far I've been here 3 times and each was absolutely wonderful! They are professional and don't try and cheat you. The first time I went to this place I had my engagement ring appraised to put it under our home owners insurance. The second time was to get my ring sized, cleaned and the stones looked at (so they don't fall out). The third time was to have my (deceased) mother's ring looked at to have those stones (diamonds) fitted so those don't fall out. This place is wonderful and friendly! Oh and I took my 23 month old son and my 7 month old son, and they have a little cute play area for little ones (the toddler) in the front corner. read more

The owner was so helpful, kind, and actually very funny!! He cleaned my watch and did a beautiful job and resized and cleaned my wedding ring and I'm so pleased with the work. Very disappointing. Not the place to take a watch for repair. Watches are sent out to a third party repair shop. It took three weeks to get the watch back. Not only did it take too long to get back, but cost of repair was more than two other repair shops. I suppose they are OK if you are buying jewelry, i.e. ring, bracelet etc. Not recommended for watch repair. read more

I was wanting to design a new wedding ring out of a ring I was given by my mother. I knew what I wanted but couldn't quite put it into words. Within 5 minutes, Izzy had drawn the most beautiful piece -- like he could read my mind and plucked it right out of my head!! Atlanta Diamond Design went over and above when resetting a 2 carat Columbian emerald which has been in my family for 50 years. I spoke with the store manager, Zoya, and she helped me find a diamond halo setting which would really show off the stone. When she sent it to the jeweler to be reset, the jeweler didn't feel the setting was quite sturdy enough protect the emerald and made a heavier setting from scratch...at no additional charge. It looks wonderful and I get compliments all the time. Highly recommend them. read more
