It has been years since I was at the fair, and I was so excited to enjoy my family at the Atlanta Fair! On the freeway it looked so inviting, but as we drove closer it looked a hot ghetto mess! Every part of my body wanted to drive away, but there was an excited 5 year old ready to jump out the car! I entered into this fair and I swear all the men operating the rides looked like they were on work release! There were big electrical cord and water all throughout the walkways. If it was not the children it was the adults stepping over or tripping on cords. They have a so called "deal" for unlimited rides for $25! This my friend is NOT a deal if you have more than one kid and they are under 5. You can do the ticket option but if you plan to ride with your kids you will end up spending about that or more. Each ticket is $1.25 and you need between 2-3 to ride most rides! Not including the $5 you have to pay to get into the fair! The fair is located at Turner Field parking lot basically "the under the bridge lot". The area where most people take a wrong turn when you are going to Turner Field and you hightail it out of there immediately! So venture there at your own risk my friends, I would not recommend it at all!

    Cotton candy!

Want cotton candy? Have a crime to report? You can do it all here! I never would have known about this fair had it not been for the likes of James H. I casually mentioned a jonesing for cotton candy and the man delivered. I not only secured bottomless pink cotton candy, but the opportunity to experience glee, disgust, happiness and horror. The barkers were out in full force. They tried to shame James into winning deformed bears and bootleg cartoon characters. We took a survey of the land. We acknowledged there were a few rides that required our participation. We bought 28 tickets for $25. It seemed more than plenty. The slides were the kind of awesome only slides can be. Slides are infallible. The House of Mirrors was mired in enough dirt and fingerprints that I never actually got around to slamming my face into a glass wall. It was a little too brief for me; I wanted to go through it at least four times. The Himalaya was as abusive and brain-bleed-inducing as I remember. Yay! It was an architectural marvel. The stairs alone were a work of lasting impression [see photo]. I avoided swings and things that make me go "whheeeee" and promptly vomit. We settled on some coked up ferris wheel thing that probably couldn't pass inspection. There was a rock climbing wall, where you could win $100 if you conquered it. James said it was bullshit. The little kid train is in dire need of WD-40. It viciously squeaks and strains across its faux-tracks. In addition to the aforementioned rides, there was the requisite airbrushing booth, an instant photo studio [where you can be photographed against a Cadillac backdrop or else, our favorite, the Tupac & Biggie Smalls portrait], and a . . . . police station? Yep, a mobile police unit. But not really mobile because it's a trailer that's parked and without wheels. There was no shortage of funnel cakes, corn dogs, fashion statements, and swingers. The music is what you'd expect: Stripper Greatest Hits. Children expertly did the "Tootsie Roll" while waiting in line and I shoved more cotton candy in my mouth. Parking is $5. The crosswalk is optional. Cotton candy is righteous. Proceed at your own enjoyment and risk.

Have you been adulting a little too hard lately?…read more Do you want to bring back some childhood memories? Do you want the fun and excitement without the guilt of feeling childish? Skyline Park is the place for you! After 8 PM it's adults ONLY, and it's a blast! Enjoyable carnival games, an exhilarating metal slide, mini golf, and this little pulley-type sky ride. (PLEASE skip arm day, this will be your workout) I've come to this location several times and thoroughly enjoyed myself every time. Recently I decided to bring my parents, and they loved it. They have not felt so free and young in so long, and they allowed themselves to tap back in. Enjoy themselves and take a ride down memory lane. All while enjoying Breathtaking views of the city. Intoxicating glee and positive vibes. I highly recommend Skyline Park! Don't overthink it, just do! If I haven't convinced you yet. I have I mentioned that its budget friendly? Access to the rooftop is $15. It's a short elevator ride up. (Sometimes they give you the history of the building in the elevator itself, not always, but they should ask about that) For an additional 15 bucks, you will receive unlimited games. For a whopping total of $30 to have the time of your life. Also, the drinks are fantastic. They have two bars on the rooftop. Did I mention that the drinks are reasonably priced? They do have a bar where you can customize your drinks, and a walk-up window where they have preset drinks and your favorite carnival foods Please note: During the winter months, they do have an ice-skating rink! In adults' paradise! Listen, you don't have to take my word for it. Experience it for yourself and then come back and like my recommendation!!! Thank you for coming to my Ted talk. The Screen Machine of 105 feet (32 m) tall and reached speeds of 57 miles per hour - it really was a scary wooden roller coaster to ride! I am not a thrill seeker and not a fan of theme parks in general, making Six Flags, for me, not really all that fun. It has a good mix of attractions including multi-level go-kart tracks (one of the main highlights), roller coasters, thrill rides like drop towers and spinning rides, bumper cars, kiddie rides, and arcade-style games. The go-karts are definitely the standout and what the park is best known for. Pricing is much more budget-friendly than big parks. Most visitors can expect either free admission with pay-per-ride options or wristbands that typically range around $50-$80 per person depending on location, day, and promotions. This makes it a cheaper alternative if you want rides without spending theme park-level money. Food and drinks inside are on the higher side, but still fairly standard for an amusement park. Wait times are generally shorter than major parks. On average, most rides are about 5-20 minutes, even during busier times. The most popular attractions like go-karts or certain thrill rides can reach 20-40 minutes during peak hours, but lines still move fairly consistently compared to larger parks where waits can be much longer. Staff were friendly and kept things moving efficiently at ride entrances, and the park overall felt easy to navigate. Parking was also simple and convenient depending on the location. Overall, Fun Spot is a good option if you want a casual amusement park experience with fun rides, shorter wait times, and more affordable pricing without the intensity of bigger theme parks.

Granted it was noonish when I was there but it was Saturday and the place was a ghost town. The layout is pretty odd as well. There's a secondary overflow parking lot on the midway next to a big stockade looking building and other old timey looking facades but most of it looks like a county fair or a family fun center like Barrymore's back home. I got my wristband to ride as much as I wanted for the day, even knowing I had to make it to Cape Canaveral by the end of the night and couldn't spend anything close to a full day here. I made a beeline for the fabled star attraction, ArieForce One. It looks great and a mere station wait was a welcome sight. The first 90% of ArieForce One completely lived up to the hype with an incredible mix of airtime hills, inversions and overbanked turns coming at a breakneck pace. Nothing was breaking my neck though, or causing the slightest bit of discomfort. Then came the series of bunny hills at the end with their violent ejector air. Absolutely killed my thighs whether I was in the front or the rear of the train. Felt like my thighs were getting jackhammered. Now I've ridden several coasters built by Rocky Mountain Construction, the manufacturer of ArieForce One. Iron Gwazi, Steel Vengeance, Twisted Cyclone and Goliath in addition to the one I'm talking about. All had the lapbars with the shin guards that let you go upside down without over the shoulder restraints. I've never had an issue with these RMC restraints on any of their other coasters that I've ridden. I thought I'd ride ArieForce One a dozen times or so. After one ride I went to ride a go kart track. It was okay nothing special. Came back for a second lap on ArieForce One. Once again I needed a break from it after that. I rode the park's other coasters, an unremarkable wild mouse called Hurricane. Hit the bathroom and took pictures of weird murals on the walls by video games and the food court. Came back for a third lap on ArieForce One. Once again it was exhilarating, exhilarating, more exhilarating then excruciating. I know a lot of coaster freaks are over the moon about ArieForce One - about the only other people riding it were maniacal masochists who were walking roller coaster encyclopedias. And I wouldn't mind working my way up to being a walking roller coaster encyclopedia but to be that I need to be able to walk. Love everything about ArieForce One until those bruising bunny hills at the finale. To me that ride is unmarathonable. Fortunately I did need to make good time on the road and I had lots of other fun things planned on this trip and I knew I would be spending a pretty penny so I didn't much mind the cash I sunk into that wristband. This Fun Spot is just so odd and its marquee attraction has a fatal flaw but I'll still give the place three stars. Here's to knowing when to say when.

Which was sad because we were supposed to be there to celebrate my son's 13th birthday. He was excited to try this place out. We drove over an hour to be disappointed. First we walk in an hour after opening on a Sunday, place was empty.......we walk right up to the counter and I tell the girl that I had looked the pricing up online and I knew I wanted to do the 3 race, game card, and k1 membership pass for 3 boys. She gave me a blank stare and then said oh you mean 2 race. Ok. Rude. But ok yeah that. She proceeds to ask the boys had they ever been there before. 1 of my sons friends says yes. So she goes you need to go check him on the computer with a waiver first because he has a membership so you won't pay for that part for him. Here I am thinking oh she is being helpful after being wrong. I smile. We go to computers do the waiver for 1 boy as instructed. We go back to the counter now 2 more groups have come in. We have to wait behind 1 group now since there is only one cashier/check in person although there were at least 5 other staff in the building including a manager. Anyway after we wait for that group to check in. I step back to the counter and THEN she proceeds to tell me oh you didn't do the waiver for the other two. I'm like you told me to do it only for the one that had been here before. So again we step out of line and go BACK to the computers. At this time I'm starting to get annoyed. By this time more people are coming in, so now my boys will have to wait behind several big groups when we arrived before ALL of these people. When I finally get back to the counter.....all boys are checked in. She got RUDE again. And wanted to loudly explain pricing to me and make sure I knew that the boys only got a $10 game card for what I was about to pay. Like VERY loud. I didn't hear her do this with any of the other groups that checked in before us and I hate to say this.......none of them were my complexion. Never once was I rude or matching her volume or tone. We actually walked in that place happy because we were supposed to be celebrating. Well anyway it didn't stop there. Once we got checked no instructions were given on what to do next outside of the girl at the counter giving me my receipt and their game cards. So my boys walked over to where you line up to go on the track and yet another employee was RUDE to them by telling them to back away from the gate and wait for someone to call them. They are EXCITED to be here Jeesh, so then after she yells at them they come over to me saying they not going to let her ruin the joy. They finally get called to race and all the boys are overwhelmed after the employees stopped the cars several time or slowed their speed down all during the race. Then in between their first and second race we went to their "arcade" which only has 12 games......which none of them are less than 40 credits for 1 game. $10 gets you 200 in credits. While one of the boys was in the process of playing a game they got called back for their 2nd race. It was EVEN worse than the first one. We decided to opt out of trying their food and went somewhere else to grab lunch. 0 stars would not recommend.

We live in in-town Atlanta near the zoo and have done the tree top quest there many times. You can't really compare this one to that and I think most climbing/zip lining places (like we did on our last summer trip in the old city of Montreal which has a fun one) are different. I thought the price tag (around $45) was on the higher end but given the time you spend here it's definitely more reasonable than I thought at first. Even after probably 2-2.5 hours my 8 year old didn't want to leave. For the little ones, they have a smaller course which probably won't occupy them quite as long, but it's also cheaper, and he (my 5 year old) also enjoyed it as well as the trampoline in the sky ball throwing place. Skot, the manager who helped us get set up, was super nice and friendly. The staff in general were helpful here and the tutorial for how to use the harness and hooks seemed to suffice, although at times we would have liked for more people around. Part of the course being so spread out is that even on a busy holiday weekend, at times the kids were really by themselves. The thing that maybe stands out the most about this place is how independent it is. At times the kids found this frustrating but I think it inspires independence, helps build confidence, and ironically the lack of help at times maybe ends up being more of a plus. It also means that there are fewer bottle necks assuming you aren't doing the course with a big group, as there are many points where you have to wait for someone to finish the section before you go. The scale of the place also helps thinning out any sort of lines. It's important to understand that there are a series of levels and difficulties and different courses within the overall park/terrain and it's a sort of choose your own adventure situation. In this way, you can hook and unhook yourself to these different courses as you transition and walk within the space. My daughter really wanted to advance past level 3 and had gained the confidence to do so, but you have to be 12 or older for levels 4 and up. From a weight perspective with some of the course set up (and zip lines), I think this makes sense and ultimately my daughter loved it and still didn't want to leave. We saw quite a few teens there who seemed to be enjoying themselves too, but they said there were fewer zip lines and more obstacle type situations with the higher levels. I would definitely come back here and especially as my younger one gets older (I think it's 7 and older for the bigger course?) try some more of the tracks. There are also some snacks at the main ticket place where people standing by can munch. Be sure to wear closed toed shoes
