That was fun! I arrived with about a dozen of my friends to celebrate a birthday. We love escape rooms, and had a blast solving The Grand Zeppelin. Niki was our in-room actor. She was a ton of fun, and certainly knows how to set a ship on fire. Having an in-room actor is helpful for dealing with any hardware glitches which are fairly common in escape rooms. But Niki was spectacular. She balanced the level of interaction to not be too obtrusive, but sill remain helpful. I don't know what else to tell you without giving anything away. Came across this particular location on Groupon. There was a very brief description on each room and what it had to offer. Very easy to book through the website even with the Groupon voucher. What would normally cost $60 for two people only cost $40. Upon arriving it may be best to scout the area for a good parking spot. We end up parking at a garage and paid $14 for an hour. There was a lot of traffic this day in particular due to road construction. The sign to the place doesn't really just jump out unless you are really paying attention to it. Management was a little late and the doors were locked when we arrived but we had fun once inside so it made us forget about our 15 minute wait outside. Once inside you do have to fight the fishy smell from the poke bowl place but it's better when you reach the inside of Escape the room. Management did an awesome job explaining everything for us newbies and although we didn't escape it was a great experience and we have a picture to remember the moment. read more

This is a great activity for team building or even for a family fun day. Located in the heart of downtown Atlanta, this was a really fun activity that I participated in with my job. They are located within a larger building not far from the Marriott Marquis and across the street from the Peachtree Mall. Parking wasn't that hard to find. We drove about three blocks down and found parking for less than $10. As far as the experience, you are locked in a room and have to use your thinking skills to uncover clues, with each clue leading you closer to your escape. You have 60 minutes to complete the tasks/clues. We actually lost, but the experience was fun...we laughed a lot during the process. I plan to return. read more

I had a lot of fun at Escape the Room, one of several real-life room escape game businesses to open in metro Atlanta over the last couple of years. Our team of 10 successfully escaped from The Apartment with an official time of 51:02 on January 14, 2016. The time limit was 60 minutes. At the time of writing this review, Escape the Room has three different escape rooms to choose from. They are: 1. The Apartment - max: 10 players 2. The Rec Room - 80s themed, max: 8 players 3. The News Room - largest room, max: 12 players I chose The Apartment for our group based on our group size. We had exactly 10, which was perfect for The Apartment. Note: If you book an escape room with less than the maximum number of players the room can accommodate, there is a chance your group will be teamed up with others who have booked the same room at the same time. The only way to guarantee you won't be teamed up with strangers (which isn't necessarily a bad thing) is to buy out an entire room for a particular time slot. To date, including The Apartment here at Escape the Room, I've played 10 different room escapes at the following metro Atlanta room escape businesses: Room Escape Atlanta (Tucker), Mystery Room (Sugarloaf Mills), Paranoia Quest (downtown), Mission: Escape (Loring Heights), and Amazing Escape Room (Sandy Springs). In general, I've enjoyed them all, but they do have their differences. In terms of story, production value, and quality of props, I think Mission: Escape and Paranoia Quest are the best. The rooms at Mission: Escape utilize live actors and have high quality settings and props. Paranoia Quest also has high quality settings and props. The Apartment at Escape the Room comes very close in terms of setting/props (which I will elaborate upon in spoilers), but lacks any sort of setup or story. The 10 of us were led into a mock apartment and simply told to escape. Just to compare a bit more, Room Escape Atlanta (producers of Trapped in a Room with a Zombie) also utilizes real-life actors, but the props are used, thrift store quality. Mystery Room is the worst of the lot as it's low budget all-around with virtually no story/setup and clues/puzzles that aren't very cohesive (not bad for a starter mystery room though). Overall, I think Escape the Room is most comparable to Amazing Escape Room in Sandy Springs, but with better quality rooms and props. Comparisons aside, own its own, I do think Escape the Room is worth visiting. However, it's one of the pricier room escapes (perhaps *the* priciest room escape) in town. Our group of 10 paid the regular ticket price of $28 per person and after 8% sales tax and a $20 service fee, our total was $322.40 or $32.24 per person. In most cases, the room escapes I've booked have been less than $30 per person including deals purchased through online marketplaces like Groupon and LivingSocial. I'm not aware of any deals or promos for Escape the Room. On top of that, you have to pay for parking. After validation, my parking fee was $5. Escape the Room is located in the 200 Peachtree building downtown. Parking is located in the 150 Carnegie Way deck located behind the building. If you type 150 Carnegie Way into your GPS, you may not be led to the right entrance. Both Waze and Google Maps will lead you very close to the deck, but away from the best entrance. The best entrance for the parking deck is located at the intersection of Carnegie Way and Ellis St NW. The Apartment had a living room with couch, coffee table, and TV, a kitchen/dining room with cabinets and appliances, and a bathroom with a mirrored cabinet, sink, and shower. Communication with our clue master was done via a separate big screen display. Other high tech devices we had to use included a tablet and laptop. [End Mild Spoilers] A few tips for a successful escape: * Communication is key. Be sure to communicate everything you see/find to your team. It could be a critical clue. * It's cliche, but "think outside the box." It's the job of the people who design these rooms to figure out clever ways to keep clues or hide stuff from you. It's your job to figure them out! * Don't be afraid to ask your clue master questions. They may actually hold the clue you've been looking for all along. Cliff and Sam, our clue master were both great & accommodating to our needs. It was a fun time had by all. This may be because we actually escaped compared to the last room I tried where we pretty much roamed aimlessly (different business). NO SPOILERS. This is my 10th escape room. The first with this company: Escape the Room. The first with my work team - we are all visiting from our various offices here in Atlanta for a company offsite. As a team offsite: 4.5 stars. We succeeded, team was happy, team worked together, team bonded, team had fun. I don't think I made anyone cry. Success. As an escape room: 2.5 stars. I don't love the linear games ... where every clue needs to be solved to advance the game. We were also given way too many clues so the constant dinging to remind us to read the TV screen was irritating. There were definitely fun, clever and creative portions - but a lot of it felt very trial and error. I enjoy these games best when I can walk away knowing that I solved a complex puzzle - where you can sync up with your teammates after the game and share how puzzles were solved and clues were revealed. These felt more like riddles and trivia. Cliff the game moderator was a nice guy and I would probably recommend this place to other colleagues looking for a team building activity. But if you are really into these types of games and have played other escape rooms, this isn't one that left me gushing with wanting to discuss all the subtleties of an amazing and epic escape. read more

"Middle Earth stands upon the brink of destruction; none can escape it." -- The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) I'm an escape room junky. This is both a good and bad thing - I have come to expect certain things. 1) A wide variety of puzzles where clues and answers tie together in a meaningful way. 2) Hints are not required to solve a room. 3) Cell phones are not required and are actually (technically) banned from a room. 4) There is a story (a set up) to why you are here and why you need to escape - to help to create a sense of urgency. ETR is located in Downtown Atlanta next to the Westin Hotel, across from the Hard Rock Cafe, Peachtree Center Mall, etc. So this is an easy location to take Marta too, however they do validate parking at a nearby lot - it won't be free parking, but it will only be $5 (the cost of Marta for 1 person). To escape a room, you have to solve a serious of puzzles to find codes, keys, clues to unlock more clues, puzzles, etc. in order to find the final code to open the locked door - this is true of just about any escape experience you will find. Usually, there will be a set up story: You are trapped in the CDC and are trying to crack the DNA sequence to prevent a zombie outbreak! You've been accidentally launched back in time and have to make your way back to the future and then present day in order to escape! Etc., Etc., Etc. This time around, we were just 10 people locked in an Apartment and we had to figure out a way to get out. Not super creative. However, this did look like an apartment. There was a living room, kitchen and bathroom - cute. There were lots of padlocks (some required keys and some required codes). However, this room did actually require use of a cell phone to solve at least a clue. We lost probably close to 10 minutes because we are all seasoned escape room "artists" (for lack of a better noun) and we know never to pull out a cell phone. It took a very strong hint from Lola (our game master) for us to realize it was okay to actually use our phone for something (not saying for what - you'll have to use your phone for). This was really disappointing. Also, the clues that we solved did not fluidly lead into other items. I've gone back over the puzzles and solutions and it was much more scattered than in other rooms we have done - this can be improved upon, I think. There were many detractors in this room (items that do not lead to any solutions), also more than we were accustomed. While the room is large enough to fit 10 people, there are not enough puzzles and riddles and clues to keep 10 people occupied. Often we had people standing around or waiting to have some direction - I think 8 can be the maximum for this room to be successful. Communication is key - we have that down. Working through all the puzzles and having a place to move solved items to was great - plenty of surfaces for that. The use of a white board instead of a pad of paper for writing down clues and codes was good - but I think I prefer paper. I (twice) erased things we decided we didn't need. My fault - no one else's. Overall I think this room has great potential, it just needs some tweaks and a bit better instruction at the beginning (watch the warning about use of cell phones, Lola) and see if you can do something to create more story to create more urgency. I did appreciate the hints (given thru a TV screen) were not answers. Also, try not to typo your responses. I do appreciate that since we were celebrating a birthday and had brought a cake, Mikhail (another staff member), offered for us to go back into the Apartment to enjoy it and celebrate! She even brought us forks and paper towels! Now that is customer service and bumps this 3.5 star review up from a 3 to a 4. Thanks for helping make the experience top notch. read more

I've been wanting to check out ETR for a couple of months. I decided to get a group together to try it out this weekend. We did the Newsroom because it was the only room available a week out, so if you want to do the living room or the game room, make your reservations early. We had a party of 8, so there were 4 other people in the room with us. It worked out, but I would have preferred to be with just my own people. I can't say much about the Newsroom except that ish was hard but so much fun! We failed, but we didn't really mind. THat hour goes by quickly and we are told the Newsroom is the hardest. Personally, I think we could have been in there two hours and never would have found some of the clues. We parked in garage and although they tell you parking is validated, please note that it only means you save a dollar on parking. So be prepared to pay. I'm definitely planning to do ETR again. I will plan further in advance so we can get one of the other rooms. read more

My girlfriend and I were on Christmas vacation in Atlanta visiting her family. We thought this might be a fun time. When we booked a game, we were provided with two different addresses. Neither of them got us to the correct location. Then when we called the place as we were driving around lost, we were given a third address. This one didn't work either. When I called a second time the person who answered the phone listened to me for a second and then handed the phone to someone else saying "you work here, right?" Evidently, anyone can answer the phone at this business. To make matters worse, after listening to me for a couple of minutes, I was summarily hung up on. Needless to say, I was extremely upset. When we finally found the parking garage after thirty minutes of driving around in the rain at dark, my girlfriend's younger sister was too scared to even leave the car. This business is not in a good neighborhood, particularly after dark. Facing the prospect of losing out on $100 in booking fees, my girlfriend and I set out on the 1/4 mile trek from the parking garage to the actual business location. Although we were accosted by several individuals on the street, we did manage to make it to the business location safely. Now, let's move on to what occurred when we finally entered the business. When I voiced my concerns to the guy sitting at the front desk, he said it was our fault we couldn't find the location and we couldn't get our money back and then offered a weak apology for their hanging up the phone on me. When I asked to speak to the business owner, the guy said "that's me." Are you kidding me? This kid was wearing braces and couldn't have been over 18 years old. After realizing that we were going to receive absolutely zero service whatsoever, my girlfriend and I left and walked the quarter mile back to the parking garage, getting hit up twice for money from apparently inebriated individuals along the way. Sum effect of booking a game with this place? $100 in lost game fees, 45-60 minutes time lost, and significant anger and frustration from being treated rudely by their staff. I wouldn't touch this place again with a hundred-foot pole. I I urge anyone reading this review to look elsewhere. My girlfriend and I were on vacation in Atlanta and got treated like garbage and had a half day of touring wasted. Don't let this happen to you. read more

If you've spent any time on our site, you know we enthusiastically support escape rooms. We know many, if not most, escape rooms are small businesses and how important reviews are to those businesses. We also believe in giving credit where credit is due - we will never give out three stars or lower just to make it seem like we are tough reviewers. Therefore, when we give a not-so-great rating, we've really thought on it. Enter "Rec Room" at Escape the Room, Atlanta, Georgia. We HEAVILY CAVEAT that we were only able to do one room at this location. We normally try to do them all. This review contains a section with very minor spoilers, and is labeled as such. One spoiler could be inferred by looking at pictures in the lobby, and trust us when we say we are doing you a favor with the other spoiler. While this was one of our earlier rooms, it set a pretty solid standard in things we don't care to see in escape rooms. First, the gentlemen working the front desk was at best moderately friendly, then another staff member ignored us completely. We honestly questioned if we had somehow managed the superpower of invisibility. Our game master was delightful, but that's about the only thing that was delightful about "Rec Room." We entered this room super excited about a super 80's theme. We were greeted with low production value in the form of some 80's posters and an old bean bag. ***BEGIN SPOILERS*** We got excited again when we realized there was an actual Pong game and an old Apple computer. Our excitement quickly dissipated upon realization that, despite a very modern controller, the Pong game attempts to feign realism by repeatedly jamming, making the game very difficult to win. It's one thing to have a built in glitch, but this was ridiculous. MUCH worse, the old Apple computer turned out to have a series of 80's trivia questions. I was proud to know some, but started hunting around the desk when I realized I didn't know them all. To my delight, I found an 80's trivia book which I could only assume held the answers to my questions. IT DID NOT. After being stumped for a VERY long time we were informed to USE OUR CELLPHONES to look up the answers! We simply cannot forgive the laziness of telling escapers to use their cell phones when the room already contains a perfectly good alternative. ***NO MORE SPOILERS*** If you didn't read the spoiler paragraph, all you need to know is that this room REQUIRES cellphones (more specifically, a smartphone) which the Escape Couple now deems it's cardinal escape room no-no. The biggest problem of requiring cell phone use (other than the super obvious issue that not everyone has a smart phone) is that it makes the escaper wonder just how many things they should be using their cell phone for. Once we knew use was required, we actually looked up other answers, putting us ahead in the puzzle and confusing the puzzle logic all around. Seriously, not okay. Aside from that, the room had moments of charm, but not enough to make up for the downsides. We would be hard pressed to return to this location based on our initial impression, especially in light of alternative, five-star facilities in the area like Paranoia Quest and Mastermind. We experienced The Newsroom... So my review is based on the group we were with. The room itself was pretty basic and not a lot of individual puzzles or boxes and clutter you see in a lot of escape rooms. Game Master was fair. But back to this group... They were a group of 5 or 6 female pre-teens . First time being in a group of teenagers and gosh it was an experience. Some of them were rude to the Game Master. But she kept professional which kudos to you by the way . They kept saying "That's stupid" or "That's a dumb clue" and things like that. The Game Master even came in to explain something about a clue. They still didn't work together. There was a point in time where we knew the situation and just decided to let them take the wheel... Some just wanted to take over everything and do everything on their own because they were smart.. No big deal. We had done many rooms at this point so we kind of just laughed it off. We could've got out if we were able to step in and finish that last step but they INSISTED to do it themselves which cost us the escape...‍ it's not always about winning. So let this review be one to remind you what you could possibly go through if you don't book the whole room for yourself. I would come back despite my experience. It wasn't the staff's fault. I was in Atlanta visiting family and my brother suggested we all try an escape room. This was the first time for all of us. There were a total of 9 of us, ages ranging from 9 to 75. Put a family in a room together... grandparents, parents, kids... and despite the running around and occasional yelling at each other, we had a great time! We did The Apartment, which I found to be a good room for beginners, although I'm sure more experienced players would enjoy as well. The kids loved it... so much so that my daughter now wants to celebrate her 12th birthday in L.A. doing an escape room here. The hints were good without giving away too much. We often had the right idea, but maybe needed to figure out just how to work that lock combination or reset it to give it another go. The only downside (not really the fault of Escape the Room) was that, although we had parking validated, there was no attendant to check the validation. The only way out was to put our credit card in the machine. We did find a parking employee as we were pulling out, but he seemed clueless. First time doing any type of Escape Room and it was a great experience! Went on 03/17/17 with bachelorette party so I chose 'The Apartment' so that all 10 of us could be by ourselves. I have to admit I did not think that I was going to be able to solve this room, but you never know what your peers can bring out of you! lol You are being watched and can ask for clues if you get stumped. We ended up escaping the room with like 2 minutes to spare and it was such a rush. I will make sure that I check out more escape rooms in the city I live in. My husband and I did the rec room tonight with a group of other ladies. Unfortunately, it seemed that the deck was stacked against us. Without giving away things in the room, the technology was not working. It had become frozen and since this room requires that you solve one clue before you can do anything else, we were stuck and unable to move on. Our cluemaster was not attentive and took at least five minutes each to provide clues when we asked for them. She also clearly didn't understand that we were stuck and unable to complete the challenge due to things out of our control. With 10 minutes left, she said she'd give us a clue to bypass the technology if we did the moonwalk. Another reason we were unable to finish the room involved pulling a key out of a secret passage. In the process of pulling the key out, it fell into a crack and we could no longer see it. This was the final key needed to get the final puzzle that guaranteed winning. When our cluemaster came in after the clock ran out, she had the attitude that we were lying about the key. There is also a clue that takes about 10 minutes to solve because of stupid reasons. I have been to the escape room 3 TIMES!!! It's always been only and me and my boyfriend each time along with the fourth time we came by to compete the hardest room which was the Newsroom and we finally beat it at 45:45. Majority and a half of the help came from our amazing clue giver Clifton, who was very understanding when we asked for a clue every 5 or 10 minutes. If you don't have anything to do or just need a quick inexpensive activity to pass time go to ESCAPE THE ROOM. It doesn't get any better and if you think your smart, you not going to feel the same after leaving here. They change the rooms occasionally so you can't remember everything, so bring all your brainy friends. I can't wait to come back to beat the rec room next. read more

I had to find out what all the hype was about! For my very first room escape experience, I was invited to join a group of friends to take on Escape the Room's "The Apartment" on a Thursday night. There were a total of 10 of us, the maximum number of players allowed in The Apartment. Once all 10 of our group had shown up for our time slot, our game/clue master - Lola - led us to The Apartment. I asked if there was a place to store our coats and purses, and we were told we could just set them down in a corner of The Apartment. After we placed our belongings in the corner of the "living room" of The Apartment, Lola basically told us that we had 60 minutes to escape the room, and if we asked for clues, her response would be displayed on the monitor above the sofa. There was no plot or backstory provided, which was a bit disappointing since I had assumed that some sort of setup would be a given for all escape rooms. It would have been nice to have a goal or motivating factor other than "you need to escape within an hour." After Lola left the room and the clock started, my friends - the more experienced room escapers - immediately began to turn the room upside down for clues. I felt a bit intimidated because they knew what they were doing, and although I quickly found an item that would later be important in unlocking a clue, I really didn't feel that I was able to contribute much at all. Perhaps 10 players was more than necessary to escape this particular room. I'm thinking maybe a group of 6 to 8 would have been better. *** Begin SPOILER ALERT*** WARNING: PLEASE DO NOT READ the following if you are planning to experience The Apartment and don't want any major clues revealed!!! I thought the room closely resembled what could be a real apartment, complete with a living room, kitchen, and bathroom - except for the fact that some key bathroom appliances (not necessary to escape the room) were missing. There was no "bedroom," but the entire "room" was about the size of a studio apartment. The important item that I had found very early on contained a phone number. I noticed it stood out on the piece of paper it was on, but other than try some of the numbers on the combination locks, our group did not figure out right away that we actually had to CALL the number using one of our personal cell phones. This completely threw us for a loop because we thought you couldn't use personal devices since they are usually prohibited from escape rooms. This taught me that you really need to think outside the box - and the rules for each escape room company vary, so even if you've experienced other escape rooms, be sure to ask your game/clue master to tell you the rules specific to this room and/or company prior to the start of the clock. *** End SPOILER ALERT *** If your group designates a team captain or person who wants to keep track of clues that have/have not been used, The Apartment includes a mini whiteboard and marker. This was certainly a welcome and useful tool. Our team ended up escaping the room with almost 9 minutes to spare (official time of 51:02). I was really surprised about how some of the clues had to be obtained, but I did appreciate the creativity in the setup of many of the clues. Overall, The Apartment at Escape the Room gets 3.5 stars for being a good first room escape experience for me. I was happy to "escape" (and was in good company with experienced room escapers), but not really understanding the reason why we were trapped in The Apartment in the first place was a bit lame. Additionally, I personally thought $32 per person was pricey for the hour (or less!) of entertainment. At the time of writing this review, I did not see a Groupon or any other discount deals for Escape the Room, but definitely check to see if there is one available before booking. As I had mentioned earlier, I think a good tip for this room is to keep your group size between 6 to 8 people. Also, think outside the box! This was a really fun experience! I had no idea what to expect. What can really happen in 1 room for 1 hour? But I was thoroughly surprised! I went with a group of 4 friends and we were put together in a room with another group of 4 people we didn't know. The clues were good, fun, and challenging! There were times when we were rolling, but there were times we were definitely stuck. Even though we seriously finished 3 seconds after the 1 hour mark (we're still winnings in my mind, but definitely official losers), I had a intellectually challenging, mild-stress inducing, and overall satisfying experience. The only reasons this doesn't get 5 stars is because the cost I think is a bit expensive for what it is and, if you don't have a group of 8 people, you'll probably by placed in a room with some strangers. read more

I had some friends visit me from out of town and they mentioned wanting to try Escape the Room. I only knew about ventures like Escape the Room from an episode of "Big Bang Theory," and my buds ended up talking me into it. As someone else has already mentioned, if you like puzzles you will enjoy ETR. You have one hour to work through a series of hidden clues around the room to get out of the room. My friends and I did the 80s' themed Rec Room, and another group of 4 people that we didn't know was in the room with us. Despite being among total strangers, we worked very well together as a team and was able to unlock the door with 6 minutes to spare. (I guess the Rec Room has worked out the kinks mentioned in an earlier review.) ETR is very close to Peachtree Center Marta station for those who don't like driving into downtown Atlanta, but there are plenty of safe parking decks around the area. read more

Had an opportunity to try an 'Escape the Room' event as a team builder. We tried out the news room...won't give details, as I'm not a spoiler, but suffice to say, if you like puzzles and riddles, ETR is for you! The key is patience, teamwork and well, paying attention to your surrounding. This challenge was very difficult; lots of nuances, that in retrospect, are like...d'oh! Our team just missed solving the puzzle(s) to ETR, but it was definitely a conversation piece for the next couple of hours as we analyzed what we could have done differently/better. Escape The Room - Escape Games Near Me - Atlanta, Georgia

Quite a good time. We did the 80s Room at Escape The Room (ETR) with 7 people - 5 adults (work colleagues), and 2 small kids. I've also tried The Ultimate Escape Game Atlanta (UEG) on Cobb Galleria Parkway, and UEG was better overall (I gave it 5 stars). I think the UEG designers are more thoughtful about the gaming experience details and execution, even if they take fewer risks. First of all, ETR's 80s Room (a.k.a. "REC ROOM") had several major bugs -- mini-puzzles or mechanisms that didn't quite work as designed (as of mid-July 2015). (UEG had one bug too -- a misplaced lock -- but that was minor.) Hopefully ETR will get those bugs ironed out before long. Another thing I didn't love about Escape The Room is that several puzzle solutions cause something to open up ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ROOM. To me, this is poor puzzle design. If every time you think you solve a puzzle, you have to go check everything else to see if it magically opened, it's too much of a frantic scavenger hunt. UEG didn't have this issue -- when a puzzle is solved, the payoff is obvious and in front of you, and you get to spend more time puzzle-solving, and less time trying random drawers and boxes that you've tried a dozen times already. One thing Escape The Room has over Ultimate Escape Game is some custom software -- there were 2 ETR puzzles in our room that clearly used some fancy and fun interactive software (don't want to give away too much), and I appreciate that level of investment. ETR's 80s room also involves knowledge of some 80s trivia (or a willingness to look it up on your phone), while UEG's Atlanta room requires NO actual knowledge of Atlanta history. Having some trivia -- if you can use your smartphones -- adds a dimension to the fun. Surprisingly fun with kids. The 7-year-old boy enjoyed himself -- even if he wasn't too helpful -- and the 4-year-old girl just played with the beanbag and carpet a bunch, enjoying the manic energy of the adults around her. So go to Ultimate Escape Game if it's convenient or you're a puzzle-snob like me, but you're not going to have a bad time at Escape The Room. read more

Super fun activity for a few folks to do as a family, group of friends, or team building for work. We had a great time and everything was very well organized by the staff. It's just upstairs above a poke restaurant near the Westin, so you'll just want to give yourself extra time to park and find it so you're not late for your game/room reservation. Having never been to an escape reply before, I was beyond nervous that this would be a epic fail from the beginning. We went around 9 pm and going the group to be just my mom, sister, and I. None of us were experienced. The host took us to the apt and gave us a run down of how the game is played. After he left, we struggled. They had a TV on the wall that would chime in when we were too confused and give us a hint so we could move forward. The felt that this was a god sent for newcomers in a small group. Ok, so for a few years now, I have heard of this amazing thing called THE ESCAPE ROOM. I always thought '' yeh maybe one day'' .. Well on this night I DID!! In general escape rooms are lots of fun. The "Apartment" room at Escape The Room was a great experience. It was only my wife and me, so that made it more difficult. Escape rooms are much easier when you have a group of people. However, our game master did a great job of giving us clues to help us keep things moving along. She was really nice and didn't make us feel bad for not being able to escape. I would definitely recommend Escape The Room as a super fun activity to do while in downtown Atlanta. Our guide Andrew was awesome at explaining how to manuever the room. He was also awesome at supplying us helpful clues at critical times.
