I asked Marvin to come over today to look at my aging garage opener. It would go up but only come partially down. It is such an old unit that it doesn't even have scanners on the sides!! I knew I couldn't fix it myself since I couldn't clean off the scanners or realign them. I thought for sure I would have to get a new garage opener. Marvin made an adjustment on the unit & sprayed the working parts with WD 40. It's now working & I can now wait until openers go on sale & then have Marvin put a new one on.
