Georgia Tree Co of Atlanta were fabulous. I could not believe how efficient they were in removing 2 very large dangerous trees from my property. They worked efficiently, fast, and cleaned up great. The work created so much debris that filled the truck, however the next morning, working with National Tree, removed the remaining huge tree trunks and cleaned up all residue. Fantastic. Constantly get harassed by companies like Georgia Tree Company with AI SMS messages with no way to opt out. Fail to identify themselves until you try to schedule an appointment and then they finally reveal who they are. They are violating Georgia law SB 73 and the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act. read more

In the past I've used Redfern for tree removal but these guys were being used by the HOA president and some neighbors, so I brought em in for a small job, remove 4 overgrown leyland cypress, four 6 foot bushes and one big river birch prune to trim. Price was just what I was willing to pay. No problems, no misunderstandings, not a lot of haggling. And they threw in a few small last minute things for free. Very professional job -- not a fly by nite outfit. I was impressed that they had all their own branded trucks, haulers, chippers, etc. -- not yer "2 rednecks and a truck". Very professional people, no surprises, good communication, they were here on time, did the job and clean up, then settled up. If you're thinking of tree removal in the near future, bookmark GTC and include them in a bid proposal. Highly recommended. GTC is the way to go. read more

I'm the President of our HOA and we contracted GA Tree company to pull over 40 trees that were overgrown or sick and had to be removed. We also had them prune about 25 more trees. The quote was great (affordable) but the service was better! The crew was respectful and had a strong work ethic and the project Manager, Anthony, was also great! He listened to the concerns of the neighborhood and ensured that everything went smooth. The office manager was very responsive and got us what we needed to pay them in a matter of minutes and really worked with us to get what we needed. 5 stars for Georgia Tree Company. Honest, fair and reliable. I did my research and I had three companies come out to give a quote. If you just compare the price, then they probably were not the least expensive. However, the pricing was more than fair since they offer so much more in terms of customer service than many of the other people around that really just have a chain saw and a truck. We had a high risk tree removal and everything went flawlessly however it was reassuring to know if something did go wrong, they are well insured to make things right. Luckily the job was done well and they were nice enough to get me on the schedule earlier than promised. We have a lot of trees on our property and they took the time to walk me through it and point out trees to keep an eye on in the future. I know I'll be using them again. Thanks GTC! read more

This is a split review of GTC with the objective of raising awareness of your specific situation. GTC was one of three bids I took to remove five trees from my back yard. My back yard "was" a 30 degree slope from side to side in between two other adjacent properties with enough grass that required me to mow it every 7-10 days. One of the provider bids utilized a boom truck that could grab sections of the tree and remove it minimizing traffic across any lawn area and was $700 above GTC's bid. A neighbor was using GTC for their tree cutting so I was able to see their work before I hired them. The day GTC arrived it had rained the night before enough that the ground was not saturated but damp (my neighbors trees were cut during several days without rain). I was not home when the crew started but arrived after one tree was already down and the second was in process of taking all the limbs off. I spoke with the crew lead and was informed of the general process to take the trees down. I would periodically step out to watch the crew work and all the debris in the yard was moved using a bobcat with tracks and a grabber type fixture to get everything to the chipper. The trunks were cut and allowed to fall then sectioned on the ground and moved to the front of the property for pick up later by another vehicle. GTC did exactly as expected removing the trees in a safe and professional manner. The crew packed up the equipment after removing all the debris. Forty five minutes after they left a pretty substantial rain started for about 20 minutes which brought awareness that the back yard that used to have some grass but now had none was going to be a problem for my neighbor who were lower than me. The next day a much bigger and longer rain had moved in and I watched the excessive flow of water with all its sediment flow into my neighbor's yards. I contacted GTC and sent a video of the run off as it was happening and one of the reps that had come to pick up the payment agreed that there use to be grass and that they should of used the plywood to drive on since the ground was damp. GTC sent out a crew to install a silt fence to minimize the dirt washing into my neighbor's yards. My only complaint is that GTC should have made a better judgment to prep the area for the conditions and minimize the loss of the existing ground covering and even say "no, the ground is to damp to do the job on that day". The after effects, I now have to accelerate plans to have a landscaper come at a significant cost of thousands of dollars to grade and sod the yard to keep the erosion from my neighbor's yards. The money that will be used for this was to be used towards replacing a very deteriorated deck which now is on hold. My take away from all this, GTC is a good company and did respond as best as I would have expected but if I had to do it all again I would use the boom truck tree company which cost hundreds more but may have saved me thousands. read more

Very professional. Watching them work and it's clear they earn every penny. From the time Stuart quoted the job to the time Justin and his crew did the job I was 100% impressed. They were not pushy. The price was fair. The work was thorough. I'd 100% recommend them. Only issue was they did such a good job that it made me realize I wanted more work done but they had only a certain amount of time as they had another job after mine. It really isn't hard to send a text that you aren't coming. If that wasn't bad enough charged my insurance 16k for a single tree. I know they get good reviews. My experience was not good. read more

Georgia Tree Company was wonderful to us. We had a tree leaning over in our yard that was potentially putting our daughter at risk. It was leaning over her swing set. Not only did their estimate come in lower than others, they were able to move our time slot from 2 days to the same day. I contacted Joe at Georgia tree company after closing on a new house. I wanted him to trim some trees in the backyard. Upon arrival he showed me dying pine tree that could have fallen into the neighbors yard with any strong winds. After you get the approval from my HOA. Joe and his crew removed the tree and cleaned it up in a very short time. I highly recommend them. I will definitely use them again. They're reasonably priced and very professional. read more

I have had one of the worst experience with this company. The sales person made lot of false promises, but once he got the business, the experience was nothing but worst nightmares.. so many times schedule changed, had to go through so much hassles. I have never had a company just treat the customer this way in atlanta ever. False promises, lot of hassles, bad customer service. Very frustrating and unprofessional experience with this company.
