Three of the stumps were overturned trees from the storms that came through a couple of months ago. One of those stumps that was toppled was 6ft high. Kevin had to cut the tree trunk off the stump and pull the stump back over into the ground then grind it. There was also about 20ft of tree trunk that he cut into 18" sections and put in my neighbors wood pile. Kevin is a true profession and worked into the evening to finish the job. Besides the great reviews I saw online, he is a Marine. Being a Marine myself, I knew he would do a great job as that is what Marines do. I was not disappointed. My lot doesn't really allow easy access for heavy machinery to come on-site which means more manual labor in carrying out the tree. I sent a few quote requests to local tree removal services and received such a large sway of replies after their inspectors came to review the job. To me, Craig Ballard seemed open and honest on what was required to get the job done and he's very knowledgable about trees as a whole. His crew took care of the job and even cleaned up some additional suspect limbs and pruning to make the lot both safer and look great. He wasn't the cheapest quote I received but the other companies didn't really instill any confidence in the work I was asking of them. I used Ballard's again after a neighbors oak fell across two property lines and devastated our fences.
