Atlantic Coastal Gastro sent emails with the link to the patient portal, I filled out the forms weeks ago. Atlantic Coast Gastro called yesterday saying they didn't have my info and I HAD TO SUBMIT IT TODAY or my colonoscopy would be cancelled. Their emails only had a link to Allied Digestive Health patient portal. My info was all there. Called Atlantic Coast Gastro back to get this cleared up. Got voicemail. Called 4 times over the next few hours, left 4 messages (dialed a few different phone #s). Asked for a call back since ASAP they're threatening to cancel my proceedure. NO CALL BACK. Left work 1 1/2 hrs early to get to the Jackson office before they close at 4. Got there at 3:30 - office is closed (Hours of operation not updated online). Drove to the Brick office and filled out a form with everything already on the patient portal. I was literally shaking with anger, I'd been anxiously trying to get this cleared up for HOURS. Maybe whoever called me from Atlantic Coast Gastro didn't know how to access Allied Digestive patient portal? First day on the job? God knows. LITERALLY GOT A CALL BACK AS I WAS TYPING THIS - because i left a long angry voicemail this morning. Still livid at yesterday's experience, will have to reconsider using this office for next proceedure. read more

I can never get through to the office by phone, and when I leave messages, they're rarely returned. Wait times in the office are excessive, and it's very difficult to secure an appointment, especially when something urgent comes up. The staff and providers are not proactive; I have to follow up through the portal just to be sent for routine bloodwork, and ongoing monitoring isn't done unless I reach out myself, even though I'm on a biologic that requires regular checks every few months. I've been a patient here for over 20 years, but after my recent experience with a stool sample, I'm seriously considering switching providers. I completed a home stool test that was picked up by FedEx and sent to Allied Digestive Health's lab. After waiting nearly two weeks, and making multiple calls and portal messages, I was finally told today that the sample couldn't be processed, which seems like it was lost. No one has acknowledged the time this has cost me or the fact that I'm still not feeling well. Based on this experience, I would strongly recommend looking into a more reliable and responsive gastroenterology practice. read more

My wife and I both scheduled appointments with Dr. Yalamanchi and we are so glad we did. The reviews in the past are regarding wait time and contacting the office via phone, which was a problem in the past when the office was having a difficult time scheduling and manning the phones. However, that is no longer happening. You can now schedule appointments online and the phone wait time is not bad at all. The schedulers are pleasant and very friendly. Yes, it takes awhile to get to see the doctor, but they will also make an exception if you can't wait, or if a test result is deemed important to consult with the doctor. They also have practitioner nurses who can care for lesser problems, prescribe meds, and order tests. Overall, I'm certain that your experience with Atlantic Coast Gastro will be pleasant, thorough and caring. read more

This office is impossible. I waited 3 months for an appt which was cancelled by the provider same day. The alternate time/date does not work with my work schedule. So now they want me to wait another 2 months. Terrible customer service here, now off to find a new GI. read more

I would not recommend this office to anyone. This all started last week when I received a call from Dr. Yalamanchi's medical assistant that my G.I. panel came back positive with a highly contagious infection. She told me they had sent antibiotics to the pharmacy and I was advised to leave work immediately. When I called the pharmacy for my medication they had informed me that it was out of stock and wouldn't be in until possibly the next week. I called the office several times and left several messages with no call backs. I received a call on Friday on a private cell phone from the nurse practitioner who ordered me the panel in the first place, and she advised me to return to work after three days of being on an antibiotic and said she would ask the office to send my return to work letter and a new antibiotic, which never happened. After waiting the weekend, I called again on Monday and left a message to ask again that they please send my return to work letter in which they did but overrode what the practitioner had said and wrote that I could return to work immediately but still... no antibiotics. So I called and left another message asking why they would say I could return to work immediately when the practitioner said I should be on the antibiotics for at least three days before returning and also why still nobody has given me a call regarding the antibiotics. I received a call Monday from who I'm only assuming was someone from the message service to ask me a question regarding the medication I was prescribed so he could write a message out to the Dr. I called again yesterday (Tuesday) to ask again that they please send a different antibiotic and call me back regarding my return to work. I received another call back from the service to tell me they've sent a different antibiotic (they didn't). So this is where I asked when Dr Yalamanchi would actually see my messages and reply. The service worker informed me he would not be in until 3pm. Around 4:30 I received a message asking if I'd like to move my f/u appt from October to today (Wednesday). Still, no courtesy call back. So I took matters into my own hands and went to the ER to at least get antibiotics in me and a proper return to work letter. I have since cancelled my appointment for today and will not be returning to this office. It's very clear to me as someone who works in a medical office that all Dr Yalamanchi cares about is his $$$. Getting me into the office just to cover his ass for his negligence. Do better. read more

The staff was lovely but the doctor made me feel unseen and did not make my feeling validated. I have left many voicemails for this office regarding my appointments and I am yet to hear a call back. It is impossible to call them. I was also surprised with a random bill when I was told at the time of check in and check out that I owe nothing for the visits. I will NOT be going back here. read more

Dr. Cerefice is fantastic. Very down to earth, personable and clearly explains things. He went out of his way to get the ball rolling with another doctor. He accomplished in 30 minutes what I have been trying to navigate for the past three months. I felt so relaxed and cared about when I left his office. Would highly recommend!!! read more

Please read! URGENT LIFE SAVING INFORMATION I waited 7 months to write this because they almost killed me. Dr. Cerifice is an arrogant man who passed me off to a an ignorant PA. I was bleeding internally and in excruciating pain. After back and forth for 2 months, Dr Bernard Aaron took over. When I told him about my pain, he told me I needed a psychiatrist. I ended up bleeding out and had to be admitted to the hospital with a hemoglobin of 4.2! My organs were shutting down and I needed blood transfusions as well as iron infusions. Want to know the worse part? When I called after the hospital, he LIED to cover his ass and said I "never went for my blood work" He NEVER gave me a prescription. I saw Dr. Schneiderman for a colonoscopy and i couldn't have asked for a more caring dedicated and compassion doctor. I was very nervous because i took the cologuard test and it came back positive and he reassured me that that test has a lot of false positives. He took the time to address my concerns because my sister died from colon cancer. I called him after hours on a Sunday night and he was extremely compassionate. I was very happy with his entire office staff in the jackson office also. After my procedures he took the time to speak to me TWICE about my procedure and results. I found my gastro. read more

Dr. Schneiderman was a nice man, but the office staff is, to put it nicely, absolute complete and total garbage. After almost two full months of waiting for a simple blood test result, which was reported to them three days after the test was done, I was left playing phone tag with the office. I had called the office multiple times and best I'd gotten was a very snippy "well callback hours end at 6pm, she'll call you by then". No call by 5:55, called them, office is closed. So god only knows what next test they wanted me to do was, because nothing is noted on file, no one in the office knows anything. Only "Erica"(whoever that is) knew, and no one bothered to tell her I had even returned her phone calls. Zero communication between even just the other team members. The supervisor took the time to call me back and personally apologize for the massive screw up, which I appreciated, but I really don't expect things to change in the office and won't be returning to the practice. read more

I saw Dr Tangorra for the first time today and was extremely with the staff and him. I did have to wait longer then I would have liked, my appointment was for 8:45 and I didn't get out until a little before 10:00 but besides that, I feel comfortable with him and his approach to my health issues. He took a lot of time with me and asked questions regarding my health concerns. The staff was accommodating with my scheduling an upcoming test. read more

Doctors at this place are great but office staff terrible. Holiday weekend coming up and I call around noon trying to get a test for a gastro problem (recurrent) and prescription (as it needs to be ordered) finally got a call back around 3:45 and was left a message to call back. Tried calling back and phone just rang. Finally got through to find that they were gone for the day. In this case 3 days. Option 1, ER, Option 2 Primary Care who will probably tell me to call Gastro. I wish I could give a rating lower than one star... The one star is for the women in the reception area, they were nice and friendly. My issue is with my doctor, Sandhya Shukla. When talking about my medical history my diagnoses of bipolar and depression were brought up in which she let out a chuckle and said "but you're so young and pretty. You look fine to me" and then proceeded to ask who diagnosed me. I have never been so angry. Especially coming from a "doctor" that is uncalled for and rude. read more

Not only did they call and reschedule me 3 times and put in the brick office when I clearly asked for the Neptune one. I've been waiting in the waiting room for over an hour and a half. Then was taking back and rushed and have crappy bp cuff telling me I have hypertension when I never have and never did my blood pressure is always low and has been for some time. Learn how to do a manual people. I'm a nurse and been working for doctors offices for a long time. This is a very poorly run office and needless to say I will not be coming back here ever again. read more

A patient struggling with the gastrointestinal challenges of recovering from an Eating Disorder sought treatment from Dr. Hui at this practice. The patient consistently explained to Dr. Hui why his repeated suggestions of restriction were unhelpful and not safe without an educated response from the doctor after making these repeated statements. The patient explained why she did not want to know her weight in relation to her current process of recovery. The patient then went home to review the paperwork provided and was exceptionally upset to find mention of the BMI on the paperwork Dr. Hui personally typed post-visit. When this patient called the office to explain these challenges in hopes to help create safer experiences for their struggling patients in the future, they were met with being hung up on and when repeatedly returned the call, was hung up on 4 additional times. When someone finally picked up they ensured someone would return the patient's call. That was 10am, 20 minutes after leaving the office. At 4pm the patient returned the call, was put on hold, and spoke with the office supervisor who then listened and continued to provide exact numbers related to the BMI after the patient had already explained how dangerous this information could potentially be. After requesting firmly to speak directly to the doctor, the patient finally received a call the following morning from the doctor who spoke over the patient without an apology and only offered to remove it from the electronic note, not acknowledging the actual issue of providing it to the patient. Dr. Hui then followed with, "well I don't know what you want," to which the patient then relayed the need for an apology with sensitivity without having to be asked. The doctor explained that he treats many people with Eating Disorders and always includes the BMI without complaint. The patient explained how this was an uneducated response, that patients with Eating Disorders will not likely speak out because they sometimes happily receive this information which only exacerbates their disordered eating thoughts. During the entire visit the doctor challenged the patient's reports of not consuming acidic and fatty items as the patient was struggling so significantly with symptoms that they were sleeping sitting up. The unprofessionalism, blaming nature, and insensitivity is astounding for a practice that will likely work with this population knowingly or unknowingly very frequently. Please protect your struggling loved ones and consider other providers. Their patients deserve better. read more

I was seen by Dr William Basri. I don't understand the reviews below but every doctor is different. Dr Basri was kind and compassionate, especially after my horrible experiences at another office. He even took the time to call me after hours, the day prior to him going out on his own medical leave for surgery, just to let me know my scan results. Office staff was so friendly and helpful. I've never waited less than an hour to be seen, and after almost a year of going to this doctor I am no closer to an actual diagnosis. the hour to two hour average wait time might be a bit more bearable if I didn't have to wait 3/4 months in between my appointments because they over book. read more

I waited for an appointment for 3 months. Walked in and was greeted by a frenzied staff person who said my referral form needed another code added to it and told me to call my insurance company or they would not see me for my visit. I spent a half hour on the phone with insurance company in the office waiting area only to find out that all this dr had to do was call the referring dr and the code would be corrected instantly, but they wouldn't do that and I would have to come back another day (in 5 weeks) . This office is lazy and I won't bring my business to a doctors office like this. Terrible lazy staff not interested in patients life whatsoever. Go elsewhere read more

Dr. Hui- This guy is super rude, the way he talks to people especially to those who are first time patients , I will never give him my time again. Staff members were OK but Dr Kenny Hui doesn't listen, talks right over the patient and acts very arrogant. We needed answers for my mother's issues and he send us back to the primary doctor when he is the specialist they send us in the first place, i will never take my family members or my self to this person. I would not recommend this office. The doctors are good but most of the staff are scattered and rushed. Most times unfriendly. Management does not care about the patient care, they are there to bring in money. I remember going to a doctor that cared about you and did not make you wait an hour or more and once you saw the doctor were in the appointment for a short period of time. They do not return your phone calls or you can't get through. Go elsewhere! read more
