Completely unacceptable lack of staff, management, and security We were at Disney celebrating a friend's 55th birthday (Saturday eve) and had a lovely, expensive dinner at The Yachtsman Steakhouse beforehand -- about an $800 ++ dinner with drinks. Our server, Ken, was wonderful and attentive. Unfortunately, the night went downhill after that. We went over to the dance hall at the BoardWalk to continue the celebration since the dueling piano bar was closed. The venue was full, yet there were only two bartenders and one bar, with half of our party standing in line for over 20 minutes just to get drinks. We found an empty table with eight empty drink cans on it. There were no staff anywhere to be found, so we cleared and moved the empty cans to the railing and sat down. Later, a couple approached us. The woman insisted the drinks were hers. I calmly explained that the cans were empty, untouched, and sitting on the railing, and asked if she had been seated there. She repeatedly said, "I want my drinks," despite the fact that they were clearly empty. Over 2 hours later, while our party of six was sitting peacefully at the table, this same woman returned and intentionally sprayed our entire table with liquid -- either water or White Claw -- soaking all of us. What's truly shocking is what didn't happen next. From the table, across the dance floor, all the way to the exit -- well over 400 feet -- there was not one manager, security guard, or staff member intervening. No one checked on us. No one stopped her. No one even noticed. The door person, Aidan and Sara (2 bartenders) were the only employees visible and working aside from the DJ the entire evening. After our group aggressively escorted her and her husband/bf out the door, we finally came back in and I demanded a manager. Only then did a bartender physically leave the bar to go find one. Eventually, two staff members appeared -- only because we asked. We asked for a round of drinks on the house, but honestly, that's not the point. The complete absence of management, security, and basic crowd control was alarming. This situation never should have escalated, and there should have been staff present to prevent someone from assaulting other guests. Over served guests would have been noticed if there was a wait staff, a manager or security walking the floor. For a Disney property, this was embarrassing, unsafe, and wildly below expectations. Being left soaking wet with zero response from staff is not how any guest -- especially one spending this kind of money -- should be treated. read more

Talk about a blast from the past. I loved exploring checking out this spot when I'm staying at the Disney Swan and Dolphin Resort. It's such a short walk from those hotels. And there's so much to see and do in the area. This place is not a popping club by any means. But def has nostalgia and I love the music videos that go along with the songs playing. read more

This is truly one of the strangest places that I've visited in the last several months. This is a place out of time, like seeing a dinosaur while taking a hike through the woods. That being said I very much enjoyed it. The vibe is a time traveling eighties to 90s video nightclub. Attendance was very sparse on the night that we were there, but the vibes were very interesting. No food to speak of but several cocktails and beers on offer. Service was attentive and friendly. No cover and possibly the place open latest in this area. read more

There is no food here, but the service and ambiance is amazing. The music they play here is heavily 90's/2000's. They have constant Britney and N'sync playing, which is perfect for us millennials. The night we went had quite a lot of people but I understand that it's not always like that. The drinks were a little pricy, but I get it because they don't charge a cover anymore. The second floor has a deck overlooking the water and allowed to grab some fresh air and if you time it right, you can watch the Epcot fireworks. Do not sleep on this place! Every Thursday through sunday, from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., there's a live DJ. Best part, no cover charge! It is strictly 21+ only, so leave the kids with a babysitter. I wish a place like this existed everywhere. Obviously, being located at the edge of Boardwalk Resort on Disney property, folks will come in dressed casually, some maybe even strolling in after a night at Epcot or Hollywood Studios. Mickey ears are welcome! Came here Sunday night just to see what was going on. With no cover charge, what do you have to lose? Going in around 11:00 p.m., it wasn't too crowded. There was plenty of seating available, and not too much of a line at the bar. It was really nice as a woman to be able to let loose and dance without the fear of some shady person hitting on me. Everyone was there simply to enjoy the music, maybe get a drink, and have a good time. You can tell there were some single folks that were there just to do the same. Just wanting to enjoy the awesome music, dancing by themselves. Guests of different ages young and senior were there, folks enjoying the ambience with drink in hand. There was also a lovely outside balcony on the 2nd floor. This would be great on a warm summer evening if you want to step away from the crowds and the music inside. Bathrooms inside were also clean (go to the 2nd floor if your want less wait, there was barely anyone up there). After we left Jellyrolls next door, everyone wanted to pop into Atlantic Dance to check it out for the music. Top 40 tunes with a good DJ. All ages were here, so that was cool. It's a very nice classy place with a huge dance floor and a giant TV screen with the music/video playing. Happy people here. It was nice and cool inside, which was a relief. We didn't order any food, but we had our usual favorite drink. There was a second floor, which had nice views of the Epcot park. We had a good time and would visit again. read more

Located by the boardwalk hotel with No Cover charge. They have a huge screen showing the music videos the DJ is playing, multiple bars to grab drinks with minimal lines, inside and outside places to sit upstairs and down, while outside upstairs also some nice views of Epcot in the background along with a view of the Boardwalk and hotels. They have multiple Sheriffs on duty to help prevent issues from arising. A nice place to do grab a drink and enjoy some fun dancing before heading in for the night. read more

Why am I now just finding out about this place? I went for my friend's birthday on a Saturday evening and had the best time. We got there around 9pm and it was pretty empty, but as the night went on, there actually was a decent crowd that showed up. The old school music videos playing on the big screen were fun to watch. It was an interesting vibe though... as most people on the floor were facing the screen and watching while dancing and singing lol. Obviously there were some censoring of words in songs because you know, it's Disney. There's one large dance floor with a DJ in the back. Behind the DJ is a full service liquor bar. They do have a water station available as well which was great! No food served here just an fyi. read more

I feel this is an underutilized venue in the Disney area. That makes me sad that it doesn't get more use, especially since it is one of the only places in the area that you can cut loose, get a drink, and enjoy yourself without having to go anywhere. While here for a work junket my colleagues and I wanted to celebrate after a victory we had worked towards. We asked around a bit before we were told that this would be a place that is going to be open a bit later and a great place to cut loose. They were not wrong. When we did eventually show up there was a lot of apprehension as when we walked in it look deserted. Hence why I said this feels like an underutilized venue. The music was loud, but the place empty. Once more and more people started to show up it turned into a great time. The music was a great mix supplied by a DJ. He was able to make the transitions between songs go by without noticing. And the mix of songs was great and on point for our celebration. The drinks definitely hit the spot and the bartenders were entertaining and amazing. They always had the drinks made the same. There was minimal variation of the drinks which was pleasant. Highlights of this place is the outdoor patio area that is like a boardwalk almost. It overlooks the lake and gives you some impressive views, especially when the fireworks start for the night. I, along with some of my colleagues, stayed here until the end of the night. It was a Friday night and it was about 30 people in the club but I absolutely love the big screen that played the videos of the music being played, and the bartender was cool also! I told him I wanted a fruity drink and he hooked me up with the passion twist which had a glowing ice cube and it was delish! So far, I have not been impressed with the Atlantic Dance Hall because it has always been completely dead inside. We've wandered in for a little while and I do love the loud music and the HUGE screen playing the music videos. Heck, it's actually nice to be able to see music videos again; I'm old enough I remember when MTV actually played them! :) The club is pretty large and they even have a balcony upstairs overlooking the dance floor. It's also nice and clean which is always a plus in my book! The times we've been it's always just been my husband and me. I'm sure if we were to go with a group of people we'd have a blast and could turn the dead club into a real party (or maybe even if we just had Colleen with us HeHe). But it's difficult to accomplish when there's only two of you and no one on the dance floor. So, every time we've left and headed next door to Jellyrolls. We go to Jellyrolls quite often, so I'm going to keep checking in on this place and see if it gets some more attention during the peak times of the year and then I'll write another review. As for now, unless you have a huge group of people, you probably want to avoid this particular club during the dead season. Fun music and a fun environment! The Boardwalk is a great location. If you're looking for a fun free place to hang out one evening, this is a convenient place. It's pretty mild but can be fun with a group of people. It gets busier at the night goes on. Not very crowded and the crowd is a little older. I used to visit Orlando several times a year... I've stayed in the Boardwalk area every time except once. I had always known this Dance Hall existed... However, I had never been there before. I hadn't visited Disney World in 10 or 11 years. For my wife's 40th Birthday, I went back. We were there from January 12-18, 2015. On one of the evenings, we were walking around the Boardwalk, we saw a Dueling Piano Bar, we were going to go in, but they had a very hefty cover charge. So we decided to go in here. It doesn't get very busy until about, 10:30-11:00 pm. We got there early, which gave us a chance to get a few beers in before the crowds arrived. The dance floor was very big, and it's surrounded by plenty of tables. However, no matter where you sit, you have a good view. They have a huge balcony over the lake, which is a great spot to get Fresh Air, and smoke cigarettes. The DJ was mediocre... Although he played good songs, any other DJ would play... Some songs multiple times! He had no original music to set him aside from anyone else... The only time he interacted with the crowd, was to yell at people having too much fun. The bar tenders did an awesome job! Although they were very busy, and there was 20 customers, to every bar tender... They did a great job of attending to the customers in a fast, friendly, and professional manner. I would definitely go visit Atlantic Dance Hall again! read more

You might be wondering, "Where should I go with my group of friends on a Friday night at Walt Disney World?" Let's say that you just finished playing at Epcot but as the park closed at 9 PM you're now looking to continue your festivities with your large party of friends. As you mosey out the back exit you find yourself walking towards the Yacht Club and finally onto the boardwalk. A giant lake sits beautiful and serene in the middle and as you walk past the large halogen bulbs advertising sports, drinks, and food you reach the end of the pier where you see a giant building matching the facade of the rest of the boardwalk. Here music leaks through the front doors and you think, "No cover? That's great!" So you walk in and that's when you notice the dance floor is empty, the booths are empty, and pretty much everything is empty. There are more staff than guests. The DJ is an older man in a red vest and you start to think, "Oh no what have I done?!" But you and your friends make the best of a crappy situation. You start getting some local Florida beers, set up a space near the outside patio doors, and slowly trickle onto a huge empty dance floor made just for you. You start to laugh, have a great time, and no longer is it awkward to have an empty dance hall but instead it's your own club. As you start having a great time a few groups just like yours start to trickle in and join in the festivities. The place will never get packed but that's not the point. Instead it's all about having fun in a clean, safe environment where the people who'll most likely grind on you are your friends. If you're looking for a place packed with beautiful people you don't know and to get lost in a crowd this isn't the place. But instead as long as you have a great group of friends it won't matter. Since WDW removed nightlife for the adults beyond restaurant bars this is really the only option. My wife and I have enjoyed ADH for many, many years, even before children. We've seen the ups and downs of it, but love it for what it is, a beautiful venue, never a cover, DJ not a band, and never overcrowded with obnoxious people. The only negative (reason for losing a star) we have been seeing for at least a year or 2 is the DJ. He blocks the steps so you can't go up to speak with him or request a song, no longer has a clipboard at edge of the stage to write down a request, and he does enjoy his music so apparently it his private party. Playing a mix of decades and genres is great and appropriate for the crowd mix, but it became heavy Pitbull and other odd 90s songs. Transition between songs was poor as he would have people dancing and quickly clear the floor by changing the vibe and feel. In front of the stage were a few presumed locals. They had their phone's resting on a ledge filming on maybe Facebook live or other social media app as if they were important and could dance. It was hysterical and awful. They seemed to be friendly with DJ, which didn't help the other guests, as he played more to them for a while and their attire from 1990s wannabe thug, even though they were likely early/mid 20s. Bartenders were fine. Polite. None really enagaing like you experience in other venues. Love the place, the setting, view, outdoor patio overlooking the lake, and it having a DJ, but the DJ needs to go! He just can't read a crowd. read more

SO FUN! If you were anything like my friends and I when you were in grade school, around 7th or 8th grade (maybe a HS dance thrown in there too) you would be teleported back to those years when you walk into this place. It feels like a giant auditorium (complete with stage) a huge TV screen which displays music videos and vaulted open ceilings. There were quite a few people, however, it was so huge that it looked like it was empty. This was AOK with me and my girls as we came to destroy the dance floor in a "Girls Just Want To Have Fun" (Helen Hunt and Sarah Jessica Parker) sort of way and just LET LOOSE! We did exactly that. All wood floors allowed us to remove our heels and get down! The DJ is not the best in the world but fun overall. He is one of the older gentleman who LOVES playing top 40 and then throwing in a 90's hit every now and then. Yep, blond tipped spiky hair included. When I requested Kaskade (which every DJ should know) he responded with Cascada. Fail! Anyway, we got down and had a blast! After a magical Disney Wedding, we danced our way to Atlantic Dance Hall. It was a Saturday and there was no cover charge! Awwwwesome-sauce! (totally stole that from the Discover Commercial) I honestly didn't know what to expect but it really stuck to the name. You walk in, its dark and there is some tables scattered surrounding the giant dance floor. Toooons of open space for you spread out but granted there wasn't a lot of people there. There is a giant screen that played music videos of the song the DJ played. I think the drinks are similar to resort price drinks. I did get a drink from the menu and that was the boardwalk lemonade ($10.50). Not bad - pretty good for me since the sour mix masked all the vodka. There's not much of a dress code so don't worry about that but I would never tell you to look like a slob on purpose. Use your best judgement! I've saw some people in just shorts and stuff there. Its perfect when you got some friends and wants some space to just rock out to whatever. The songs they played that night was from like whitney houston to pitbull - very wide range as you can see. If you're looking for a packed, sweaty club that only plays top 40s this isn't for you. If you're open minded to a mix of different eras and genres and love nostalgia pop, you'll love it. The drinks are super cheap and there's never any cover to get in!!! It was the cheapest fun we had every times we've come to Disney. I think we paid $3 for each beer?? You can make this place your own personal dance club on slower nights. It opens early at 9 sharp, and it's the only club left on Disney property. If you're really nice, the Dj will take whatever requests they can if it works with the flow of the dance floor. We came in a few different times-we realized tues and Wednesdays nights are themed to 90s and 80s, but we prefer that style and had a blast! We loved the girl DJ-she's barely ever there but we always check for her when we stop in. She played some things we'd totally forgotten about and played some great throwbacks! We also always see DJ Louis and he always takes some of our requests and we were impressed with his scratching! Coming from a place where the Dj rolls their eyes at you when you ask for requests we were loving how nice everyone was! A group of 4 in our 50s 60s went here for the NYE party. Advertised as music from the 80s 90s and today. We were "dressed to impress" as there was a dress code. People were in shorts and sandals, so there was no enforcement. I did not recognize any of the music, basically all hip-hop with some disgusting videos. Very loud thumping music. If it's too loud you're too old. I guess I have reached that point where I am too old for a venue like this. Complained to Disney, who made things right for us. They suggested Jelly Rolls next door for some more sedate entertainment. read more

HA HA. I have a love-hate relationship with this place. You really can't take it seriously as a night club, but it's so much fun to just go in there, have a whole dance floor to yourself, tare it up to some Beyonce, get crunk and leave. The space is completely misused, they could do so much with this beautiful 2 story establishment but Disney doesn't want tot put the money into it. Instead it rots away with 200 people maximum a night, a bar tender that doesn't know how his soda pump works and a DJ that puts Sir Mix-A-Lot in with LMFAO, ouch! this is really just a choice when you've gotten too drunk to sit at Jelly Rolls and need to dance off some of your alcohol without wanting to be judged by other people...since there will be no one else there. read more

Orlando is famously known for having most of the nightlife spots in Downtown, but every now and then I get tired of driving down those one way streets for a crowded $10 parking. Not to mention on most weekends dance clubs have a $10 entry, as much as I love Downtown it's important to enjoy the free things in Orlando here and there! That's why Atlantic Dancehall in the Disney Boardwalk saves the night, it's easy on the wallets, free parking, free entry, good music, and provides strong drinks. Bring a group of friends to dance the night away with electro, 80's, hip hop, and top 40. There is plenty of dance space since the dance floor is a huge auditorium with a movie sized screen playing music videos. On Saturday nights they do not get too crowded so it's better to come with a crowd. From most of the drinks the lemon drop drink is one of the best since it taste exactly like the lemon heads candy. The bartenders are quick and make strong drinks. Enjoy this place with a group and get ready to tear up the dance floor. read more

This is the closest thing to a club you'll find at Disney ever since Pleasure Island closed and frankly, the experience there seems to be hit or miss. The music is always fun, an eclectic mix ranging from 80s hits to Top 40 to hip hop, with of course the requisite cha cha and electric slides interspersed throughout the evening. The songs' music videos are played on a huge screen over the dance floor. The drinks are reasonably priced, but it seems that it depends on which bartender you go to as to how strong they are. The DJ is good and takes requests, but there have been nights when the songs are a bit repetitive. Finally, the number of guests at the club varies from night to night, which can impact the experience a bit in my opinion. There have been nights when there were only two or three people on the dance floor as late as 1am, and other nights where it is packed as early as 10 (and it does not seem to be related to whether it is a weekday or weekend). Overall, though, ADH is a fun little place to visit for the evening, be it with just one other or a large group of friends. read more

Well after an hour and a half passed and we were still the only people in the whole place, it seemed a little too secluded! The bartenders were not on top of things either. When I ordered a beer (possibly the only sale of the night), they said they forgot to turn on the beer tap :-/ They also had some interesting music choices. I attended a wedding reception at this venue, so my review is not of this location as a "club". The reception was great. They had a cocktail hour upstairs while we waited on the bridal party to arrive. It was beautiful with a great view facing toward Epcot, and I can only imagine what a stunning view of Illuminations this venue must have. We moved downstairs for the actual reception and the set up was great. They had the three main tables (bridal party, brides family and grooms family) on the dance floor and small, intimate, 4 person tables for friends around the floor. The buffet was set up in or on the bars and was nice and organized. I was pleased with this venue, and would defiantly consider it for my own wedding. read more

What a complete disappointment. We planned a New Years Eve night at this venue because I was told one thing and was given another when we finally made it to this "event". Charged $80 per person for something that was given previously to $35 tickets. When I was checking in they said "oh yeah, now everything is VIP"... ok so there isn't VIP then? I'm paying 45 extra dollars for what exactly? Not even an open bar. It was ridiculous... Thankfully one of the managers realized how ludicrous this was when I complained and immediately issued me a refund. I'll never make plans here again. It was 90's music night, but none of the first 6 songs were recognizable and I realized they were promo videos from record companies. Add to that they were all Hip Hop - apparently in the 90's all popular music was Hip Hop, and it got too boring. I asked the DJ if he would play some other types of music from the 90's and he agreed - and then went right back to 90's Hip Hop. I expect this from a grade B DJ at a Redneck wedding, but not from Disney...Pay for some music and play something decent... read more

Stephanie at the bar was awesome! She was super nice, funny and friendly! She was the best part about the place. My family was celebrating my daughter getting engaged at the fireworks in Disney. It was a Friday night and we headed over to Jellyrolls. There were 10 of us, and the cover charge was $15 a person. It was also very crowded. We walked across the way to the Atlantic Dance Hall, no cover.What a great place!! After reading yelp reviews, I went with low expectations. Yes, the place was empty for a Saturday night - maybe 20 or so people on the dance floor. Luckily my friends and I came prepared - pregamed (quite hard) in our hotel before heading over. So with our nice buzz going, we didn't care that the dance floor was empty, or that the music was very random or that the floors were sticky. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS PLACE! We danced like no one's watching and had the time of our lives. If you're heading to dance hall tonight, wear comfy shoes and prepare to dance your bumbums off! read more

Free cover, but it's located inside Disney's private Boardwalk Inn resort. I had the most fabulous experience ever!!! The dancefloor is spacious. The place opens at 9, so it is somewhat mellower until 11-that's when the place gets livelier. The crowd is a mix of late 20s-40s, but it was definitely good for all ages. I haven't gone clubbing/dancing in a long time, usually because the DJ's song selections are not consistent. But DJ Luis is amazing - he played music videos/remixes everything from 70s/80s disco, modern pop, old school and new hip-hop, to techno/EDM.
