The DDS sent the teeth out to be corrected, they lowered the gums on the pair I was given so the teeth appear to be smaller. The overbite issue was addressed by adding more "gum" to the front of the denture so now my upper lip sticks out. So, same teeth, same poor fit, same unaddressed concerns. The DDS told me he could not help me. Then, I was given the opportunity to pay more to have them "fixed", which I declined. For 2 reasons. 1 is I already paid handsomely for a denture that does not fit correctly and no one cares to do anything about without extra money and 2 is they are giving me the same DDS who did them and fixed them incorrectly in the first place. So, please, if you need dentures, find a DDS that cares about the smile you wear. I have to wear these horrible pieces of plastic until I can afford another pair. Your smile is so important, don't let this office take it away.

My wife went and had her teeth cleaned. We've never paid anything because our insurance covered it…read moreall as they were an in network provider. We've used them for a number of years. So a month later we get a $130.00 bill. That floored us. So my wife called and we were told that they were no longer an in network provider. That they got a letter from our insurance provider dropping them from the network. I understand these things happen. But upon check in they never said anything about no longer being in network when in fact they knew they weren't. When checking in they always asked if there is any changes to our insurance. We didn't know that they were dropped as our insurance company never notified us of the change. So we appealed the bill to Shallotte Family Dentistry and they refused to work with us on their bill citing that they file our insurance as a courtesy. Beware, that you could end up with a huge bill if you had more work than a cleaning done. I would no longer recommend them.

He explained everything to me and suggested a soft night guard. Did the mold quickly and even gave me a tip on how to relax my jaw every night before bed. Their cleaning prices are wayyy better too! Dr. Steve always gives me his undivided attention and full focus- none of that jumping back and forth between multiple patients nonsense that many other dentists do. He just does great work. He explains everything very clearly and anticipates my needs ahead of time. I have complete trust and total confidence in Dr. Steve. Victoria runs the whole place with a direct approach, but she is also a very deeply caring and kind person. She gave me a great deal of comfort at my first visit to City Dental, when I came in with a horrible tooth emergency. She just took really good care of me and remains very dear to my heart. (Victoria and Dr.Steve are a married couple who run the practice together). Meghan is a rockstar receptionist; she's intelligent, informed, highly competent and an absolute riot! She makes me laugh, she eases my anxiety and she always makes sure that I am as comfortable as I can be. I absolutely adore Meghan, as well as I do Ashley. Ashley, assistant supreme, is a genuine sweetie pie with whom I also really enjoy chatting. She has a comforting and quieting influence on me- I feel very calm in her presence, which is pretty huge for me. The whole team has been so very good to me, accommodating my travel schedules and just giving me great dental care. Their prices are more than fair, especially given the high quality of the work and materials. And they're aware that dental work can get prohibitively expensive for the average Jane, but will work with you to find a way to get the care you need. They've got a loyal, lifetime patient in me and a brand new patient in my aunt!

Had a back upper tooth that was in bad shape causing pain and ear aches. The staff was top notch and friendly. Dr Laura Bachara was very informative, friendly, and professional. She explained everything, didn't try to "sell" me other procedures. Dr. Bachara showed confidence in what she was doing and made me feel relaxed. Her assistant Susanne was great. A very important aspect of the visit was the Covid19 protocol. It was very good and I had no doubt at all they were serious about protecting me and themselves. The price was reasonable. She also called me at home later that evening to see how I was doing. I'm sure not many dentists would do that. I hope to never need a dentist again, but when I do it will be with Dr. Bachara.
