There are multiple area for both child play under a covered playground and a covered area for adults to use the manual workout machines. The wide open space is great for horses to get a nice ride and to rinse off at the watering areas. The lakes and streams are filled with wild life that is indigenous to the area. Just taking a walk and listening to the sounds of nature is truly calming. On the weekends this county park gets very loud and crowded but because the park is so massive, there is always a place to relax.

As a spooky girl, the Banyan tree captured my fancy. It's stood tall and majestic with its hanging vines forming a shelter like structure. At the time of my visit, there were a few ladies sitting under it getting ready for a drumming circle. We watched for a bit before moving on. The park has loop trails. It's easy to follow via the trails app. It's a great place for hikes, long walks or for just taking a break from people. The kids would love it here as well. We walked past a few play grounds and biking trails. I plan on taking the kids back soon for some fun. 10/10 as far as parks are concerned.

No pets are permitted on nature center grounds - assume since wildlife may devour a small dog, not sure. Other signs advise pets permitted by park permit only, but does not indicate on the posts about service dogs - kind of confusing. They provide guided nature walks through the park which seems like a fun tranquil activity for people with good knees and a decent pair of binoculars. The far west side of the park provides beautiful views of the New River and small critters like crabs along the waters edge.

I have been three times now, and while some vendors stay the same, others rotate, which I love. Each visit, I have tried new vendors and made connections with people. It is exactly what you want from a farmers market and a community park. The look of the park now is stunning. There is a paved walkway lined with tall trees that offer great shade, wrapping around the main field that has always been part of the park. There is also a beautiful fountain, a dog park, clean bathrooms, a kid play area with small shaded hills, and a section with tables and chairs. It really has everything. Parking is easy at the garage on 2nd Street, which makes visiting even more convenient. There are also so many activities and events hosted here, like 5Ks and seasonal events. I truly love seeing how much the city has invested in this park. It feels special and holds a lot of memories for me, and I am sure for many others as well. The beauty of it now matches all the good vibes and memories I have every time I visit.

The park feels very new, clean, and well-maintained. There are refreshing fountains throughout the area, which make it especially nice on a warm Florida day. I was also impressed by how clean the restrooms were -- there was even an attendant inside, which you honestly don't see often in public parks. There's a fully fenced dog park with water fountains for dogs, comfortable benches overlooking the bay, and plenty of modern design details that make the whole space feel stylish and thoughtfully planned. There's also a cute food trailer on site that looks brand new, plus a beautiful large fountain and several interesting art installations around the park. The only downside is that there isn't much shade yet since most of the trees are newly planted, so it can get pretty hot during the day. Also, just before the bridge near the park, there's a beautiful restaurant that caught my attention with its stunning Greek-inspired design -- definitely on my list to visit next time. Overall, such a lovely hidden spot for a quiet walk, relaxing by the water, or just taking a break from the city.

It was rebuilt by 200 volunteers from Massey-Yardley Chrysler Jeep, The Chrysler Foundation, the City of Plantation, organizers from KaBOOM!, and residents of the community who all came together to restore the play structures for the children. In addition to the playground the park has a half basketball court, practice baseball field, a pavilion which can be rented, picnic tables, benches and a restroom. There is also a large open area for play and exercise. My favorite part of the park was along the canal where the water attracts local birds. On the day I visited there were two Egyptian Geese with big personalities and a common moorehen with her chick. They are also known as a swamp chickens and live around well-vegetated marshes, ponds, canals and other wetlands. I loved watching the sweet little fuzzy chick explore the world under its mother's watchful eye. That is why I enjoy checking out all kinds of parks. You never know what you will discover. This is a great park to play, picnic, or to just watch the nature swim by.

We normally like to walk on the Hollywood Broadwalk but decided to try this because it's much closer to home and we don't have to pay for parking. It was a good day to be out... it was 57 degrees and freezing! There's a nice asphalt walkway for walkers, joggers and cyclists. Unfortunately, with the exception of one person, no one whom we passed bothered to move to keep a safe distance between us. We had to step off the asphalt so that we were not right next to someone approaching from the opposite direction. By the way, when you leave the asphalt, watch where you are walking... we saw a couple of piles of horse droppings, lol. We only walked a little east of Flamingo just west of Nob Hill Road but the trail goes as far east as the Turnpike and as far west as Vista View Park.

This park is made up of three 40 to 50 foot tall hills that were created when the C-14 canal was dredged on the southern edge of the park. The park was landscaped and ficus and oak trees were added. A playground was built at the northern end of the park. There are only three parking spaces which discourages people from using the park because it makes it difficult to get a spot. People like to use this park for exercising. It is hard to add elevation to your run so having hills like this to go up really enhances your workout routine. The park has just recently reopened. It closed even before Covid-19 because coyotes were reported to have chased down a jogger who fell and tore a ligament. There is literature available at the entrance of the park that details what you should do if you encounter a coyote.
