Buyer beware. I went for a regular yearly eye examine. I am on Medicare. They not only took my copay of $45, they charged me $75 for the "prescription." I asked why? I have never been charged for a prescription in my life. They said, "We only bill medical." Well, according to Medicare (Florida Blue Advantage Plan) they pay for one eye examine a year. So what was the $75 for? I never saw an ophthalmologist. I was told that they are supposed to tell me this when you make the appointment. Nope was never told and they refuse to refund the $75. Horrible! I waited over an hour past my appointment time, only to find out the receptionist had given me incorrect information. Another patient I was waiting with in the waiting room also waited over an hour! This office does not give vision prescriptions. I wasted all that time due to the incompetency of the office staff. I asked over the phone if I could get glasses and contacts from them..and their answer was that yes, both were offerred. When I finally was called in, I was told at the pre-office visit desk that they did not. I then had to get a refund of my co-pay since I never saw the doctor. The finance employee and receptionist were extremely rude. I have never experienced employees this rude, it was quite the experience....I was taken aback. Never again! read more

I decided I had to write a review after thinking about my experience with Dr Kostic and Atlantic Eye Center.I was told the office was in network with my insurance,only to find out later that it was not! I had all the test done saying i had a cataract in my left eye. we discussed different options for my eyes and decided to use the toric lenses in both eyes.I was told with that type of lenses You can read close up and see in the distance !It didn't work,it has been over a year and retna surgery and months of follow ups and I still barely see out of my left eye and definitely need glasses to read.The lens upgrade is not cheap.So my advice is don't use this office. read more

If you want to get an prescription for eye glasses do not go to Alexandra Kostick, MD at Atlantic Eye Center. I called them on the telephone as they are part of my insurance and requested an appointment to get a eye examination for a prescription for eye glasses. I just left the doctors office empty handed...no prescription. They didn't even give me an eye examination. They took photos and told me they never give prescriptions on the first visit and that I would have to come back another day for that. They never said that when I made the appointment on the telephone or I would of never gone there. They said no one gives you a prescription on the first visit.They were only interested in scare tactics informing me I needed cataract surgery. The doctor herself was asking me what kind of insurance do I have and I had filled out a bunch of paperwork she should of read. My insurance company told me my copay was $30.00 for that visit. They charged me $15.00 co payment and $35.00 for the pictures. I told them I will sign when I receive a copy of the explanation of the charges. They then brought me into another room to talk to Delores who was very very rude and obnoxious. We are senior citizens and we were treated very disrespectfully. The point is they never told me upfront that I would not get the rx for glasses on the first visit that I would have to come back another day. You cannot trust them. They did exams that I did not ask for and gave me a test with my glasses on. That is when I suspected something was not right with them. I recommend you do not use them. What bothered me was the scare tactics and their combativeness for no reason. I had to give them 1 star but they really deserve minus 1 star. read more

Do not waste your time unless you want to wait over 2 hours to see the doctor and deal with technicians and a very unprofessional,office manager. The remarks she made to us when I told them we were leaving after waiting since 1:15 and at 4:00 still had not seen the doctor were so bad my 88 yr old mother in law was so upset by her remarks. Not to say other patients coming in the door heard the same thing. Terrible! read more

I would give negative stars if available! I have been a patient here for at least 5 years (why, I don't know). I get my eyes examined EVERY year. I had a vision change in my right eye. I called to get a refraction, made the appointment, and when I go to the appt. I got a new employee. After explaining why I was there, she said the office manager decided retractions are only done on Monday. I said well, I told them this when I made the appointment, and since I am here, why can't you do the refraction... Well, the dance between the new employee and office manager went on too long. Two years prior, I was given a wrong prescription by a new employee didn't know how to do contact lens. Done with this place!!!! read more
