Apparently my card was never charged, but they shipped the contacts and I got a letter at the end of the year stating that they didn't receive payment and that I was delinquent - never received a letter before this and that was over six months ago. They claimed to have called my phone, but I don't have record of a message from them. You would think they would have mailed a bill sooner. Someone took down my credit card number so is my card information just lying around the office? I have been trying to get in touch with someone for weeks left messages. No one has called back no answer on the billing line and a left a message in the office no call back. Finally today I got an answer and I gave my credit card number again so hopefully they have their money now but that will be the last dollar they get from our family. I missed out on the $200 rebate due to never getting the receipt.

After my initial appointment and exam at their Palm Bay location i had to go to their clinic on Nasa Blvd for a florescein angiography (a very thorough eye exam using special imaging equipment). It was an easy process and I and left there relieved that my eyesight is stable. I go back in six months for a follow up.

I had gone through three unsuccessful retina surgeries with another doctor who told me I was part of a rare 4% with no treatment options. My retina was left in poor condition--a loose buckle, unremoved scar tissue, and not enough silicone oil to protect the eye. I was devastated. Then I found Dr. Venzara. He was thorough, kind, and honest. He immediately identified the problems and performed a complex surgery that lasted over 2.5 hours. Since that surgery in September, my retina has remained attached. I had a follow-up surgery in March to remove the oil, and there's been no scar tissue regrowth since. I have missed family events and business meetings. Often I had to drive with one eye closed. Dr. Michael Mandese is my vision care specialist. At every visit I've asked can you fix my double vision. His answer was always " there is nothing I can do". A friend who also has double vision said "you should see my opthamologist, Dr. Mandese, he gave me prism lenses that cleared my double vision". At another friends suggestion I saw Dr. Hrabinsky. After no more than a hour with him I had a prescription and now have prism glasses. My double vision problem is resolved. I can drive as before with clear view of roadway and traffic. Mandese could have prevented years of, well, suffering, with a relatively simple presription for prism glasses. He told me it was a cut and dry case of 4th nerve palsy, and told me I had to see another specialist who had more expertise. In the meantime, I had moved down to Florida, my travel plans to drive across America in an RV were shot as I couldn't navigate my RV of the driveway safely. A friend said, "Go see Dr. Cowling at the Cowling Eye Car Center", guarantee, this doctor will direct you to the best care. He knows everyone." The Cowling center made an appointment for me with Dr. Michael Mandese of the Eye Institute in Rockledge. After a series of eye examinations in the office with some very proficient and affable technicians, I met Dr. Mandese. Dr. Mandese performed additional critical tests and measurements that were different than what the other physicians did, and Dr. Mandese pointed out to me so I was able to see for myself exactly how far my focus strayed off. Dr. Mandese then explained thoroughly his opinion of how and why my vision had deteriorated overnight (the other physicians I saw said the medical profession were extremely limited in their knowledge of what causes double vision). Dr. Mandese then gave me a clear concise plan of action I was to take and that if I followed his instructions, he believed there was a possibility my eyesight might return back to normal. I've seen a lot of doctors in my lifetime. It took me seeing ten doctors between NYC and New Jersey to locate the right one. I don't know about you, but with my vision on the line, I would have flown across the world if someone was able to help me. All I can say to anyone who is going through what I have, and you have a medical emergency concerning double vision, trauma and related, don't walk, run to this doctor. It's the first relief I've had in many months after seeing Dr. Mandese.
