Took it to deters and put the parts in and labor for the door came out 1,100 and with a warranty so two weeks before warranty was out the door broke same thing fixed but charged me for parts cause they said that it was something different that caused it . (water was getting in the door some how ) you would think they would seal it and fix and send me on my way . So just yesterday same thing happen either they don't know what the heck there doing there just being neglectful and not fixing it right . after spending 2100 .0 they would think they say bring it in this is on us . No not the case ! Taking advantage of the elderly and the disabled !! Don't go there is the worst place I have ever delt with and have been on this earth 55 yrs. As we drove through Iowa, late at night, in the rain, I started to nod off. I realized I needed to get off the road and get some rest so I took the next exit (173) that had a sign for a welcome center. We drove a bit down the road and realized that it wasn't likely to be a rest stop style welcome center so I pulled in the a farm driveway to turn around. Well, when I backed up I realized that there was an 8' ditch and had nearly tipped the 6x12 travel trailer my pickup was towing into that ditch. Clearly my wife, dog, two pet bunnies and I were stuck and the cusp of deep trouble, far from home, in the middle of nowhere. Calling the AAA that I thought would save us I was told that they didn't cover our type of trailer and that I would have to make our own payment arrangements with the tow operator. Well, this wasn't music to our ears, we have everything we've got sunk into the move and our new lives across the country and this is the exact reason we got AAA in the first place. Well, a short time later a tow truck arrived in the 3am rain and got us quickly and professionally out of the ditch. The tow operator was courteous, professional, and very competent. After pulling us free, he directed me as I backed out onto the road and when I looked to him for what we owed him he told me "Drive safely and have a good night.", I looked at him shocked and asked "We're all set?" and he simply repeated "Drive safe." God bless you Gary Richter, you saved our tails and proved that there truly are good people out there in this world. I would and will recommend Richter and Son Towing to anyone I know. AAA should be honored to have this kind of upstanding American as one of their contractors. I can't thank you enough and will repay you somehow when we get ourselves settled in our new life.

I needed to have my Travel Trailer towed & stored, since I got a new job and moved to the Des…read moreMoines area. I was planning on having Richter & Sons tow it for $250, since I do not have a truck. They even offered to store it for $35/month. At the last minute, my son-in-law offered to tow & store for free if I would let them use it occasionally. A no-brainer...right? Before I even had the chance to call Richter & Sons to cancel, they towed it to their business. I had to call them and ask where it was. It cost me $242.69 for them to tow it a mile or less. Yes, I approved the estimate to tow, but I had not paid the invoice before they towed it. I was really pissed off once I found where they parked my travel trailer. In the mud vs. gravel or concrete. They broke the part you pull out to empty one of the tanks, and how the heck were they even able to tow it when the stairs were not put away. I did not give them a key. The stairs fold up and go inside the RV when it is moved. Rude, no communication, and it's all about the money. Do not recommend this business!

Instead he sold me one after a blowout on I-80 and suggested I get 4 tires for my all wheel drive RAV 4 in Des Moines, which I did. Beware, the tire that blew was a replacement tire that The TOYOTA dealer in Marina del Rey, CA had put on my new 2017 vehicle after I turned over a parking lot curb at a bad angle. He put on a tire manufactured in 2014. Of course, all my other tires were made in 2017. Just saying. It was the 2014 tire that blew. I had been told by two repair places, one of them a Goodyear tire place, that there was enough tread left for my 8K road trip. As it turned out, I shouldn't have listened.
