I have texts and emails that I requested them to come by 11:00 am because I was driving from Fredericksburg. They said ok, we will wait. Then while I was on my way, I called them several times and texted them updating my arrival which was 10:15am. They said, no problem. They started at 10:30 and charged me extra for 11/2 hours which I don't understand. Every item was packed in boxes and in ikea moving bags which they called plastic bags. The reason I packed in ikea bags so they are easy to carry and protected my items. I worked as hard as they did to make sure they don't complaint but the whole time they complained and advised me to trash my belongings. They gossiped with my sister complaining. I am a US citizen but foreigner who speaks in an accent. Their first question was; where are you from? They mistreated me, abused my belongings. Instead of two hours work which my other mover who loaded the truck completed in two hours, they did it in 5 hours because the whole time they were taking tea break and snack break and of course talking breaks. It was a 3 hours job but I got charged for extra hours and for their trip to my location which is beyond acceptable. They charge you over $175 just because they had to drive to your location. This business is a heartless scam. They are racists and prejudiced as well. I have documents saved up that they are scambugs and are liars. The movers handled my belongings very carelessly, and some of my very expensive items were broken and damaged due to the way furniture and boxes were stacked on top of them. Items were placed and piled without proper care, which caused significant damage. I also believe I was overcharged for the service provided and feel I was not charged fairly for what was done. Because of the situation, I had to hire another moving company to help undo the damage and assist in bringing my furniture down safely, which resulted in additional costs. Altogether, I suffered thousands of dollars in damages and losses. After I left my review, I received multiple calls from the company threatening legal action if I did not remove my review, which I felt was an attempt to pressure or intimidate me. I have photographic evidence and eyewitness accounts showing the condition of my belongings before and after the move. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Mighty Movers of Lynchburg.

The owner even debated with me over some of the damage as the crew member denied it. We felt that they use nice polite workers that appear to work hard. However, there was no crew leader and it was a free for all loading and unloading our belongings. We had everything packed and marked as to where it should be placed in the new home, it just didn't happen 50% of the time unless we were on top of them constantly. Young guys that seem to have this as a way to make a living and no skin in the game, so to speak. It was detailed and complete, listing all materials needed and all of the instructions for moving (what goes, what stays, packing fragile items, etc. 2. The team arrived per schedule, on time and ready. They worked quickly and professionally, and I found them friendly and I observed them taking extra care of my goods as they were loaded on the van. 3. Unloading was quick, and I found them both responsive to my directions for where things needed to wind up, and in fact they created a storage scheme that allowed me to access my kitchen stuff (for instance) without a lot of shuffling and relocating boxes. It was thoughtful and considerate, something I had not even thought about when planning the move. BBG&T were great. Yet they ended up having to get a second truck for a few leftover items and charged me $1500 to drive two trucks out of state. This was their fault for the miscalculation not mine but I paid for it. They did a good job packing me out in the beginning, but upon arrival at my new house, they literally just started putting things wherever they wanted and argued with me if I wanted them in a different place. Fragile this side up boxes were on the bottom of piles of heavy boxes and upside down. Nearly a month into the move I have yet to find my dishes and winter clothes. While I was in the house trying to direct traffic they took a bunch of things and just threw them into my shed. I have a pile as high as the windows and cannot even get two things or see what's in there. It's going to mean completely emptying out the 10 x 16 shed and re-organizing. They broke one stained glass window before they even got out of my house when I moved and claimed they did not do it. Upon arrival, they tried to install my dresser mirror upside down and argued with me when I told him it was upside down. One of the guys kept complaining about the number of boxes I had. And when they were finished their walk they and were waiting to pull out of the driveway their boss called me to see how they had done as I was talking to him the argumentative one came walking back in my house and started hanging out to listen to the conversation. I told him multiple times to please wait outside and he ignored me. Finally, I told his boss that I was not going to say another thing until his worker left my house. At that point, the man walked outside. After our conversation, I was getting ready to close up the house to run an errand after they pulled out and suddenly the front door opens, and the argumentative employee came marching back in the house and told me he had to use the bathroom. He brushed past me and went upstairs. A couple of minutes later when I glanced up the stairs to see if he was headed back down he was walking around with his camera on his Phone from room to room. I asked him what he was doing. He said he was doing the walk-through. I told him we had already done that and he said that just in case he lost the film, he wanted another one. Then he came walking back downstairs and walked through the rest of the house filming. This all made me very uncomfortable. He used an excuse to use the bathroom without even asking, didn't knock at the door just walked right in and then wasn't in the bathroom, but was actually walking through the house filming it. When they showed up at my house to pack me up, they were in U-Haul trailers, not professional trailers belonging to the company. When I questioned it, they said that they did have their own truck, but the one worker said that it had been broken down for as long as he had worked there. Due to no fault of my own, I had to pay for a second truck since they had miscalculated what size truck to bring. And then the mess I have on the receiving end is just unbelievable. I would not recommend this company.
