Most recently Cass and Nathan were here to install a wireless rain detection device. While on site, they adjusted spray head coverage as we requested, and installed a special back-flow valve to prevent a downhill spray head from draining the uphill line into unwanted puddles. I Spoke with Adin and everything that we discussed from the beginning to end was completed with professionalism, honesty, and with no hesitation. The landscaping they did, which rerouted the water that would collect a the side of the house was done so well that even after the heaviest of rain the area is now completely dry within hours. Before the work was done, I had small swimming pools of water everywhere. They also took out the old concrete patio that I had and put in a new one. When it rains now the water slops away from the house and into the landscaping they did, which takes the water completely away from all areas of the house. I am so happy and satisfied with Pineda Stonework & Landscaping that I will be using them again for another job that I need done. A sales representative came out to our house to conduct an estimate and promised to send something over in a few days. After I didn't hear from him, I reached out via email to ask for an update. After my email was ignored, I tried texting the sales representative. Finally he got back to me to say we were outside of their geographic scope and the job was outside of the scope of their services. They wasted a week of my time even though they clearly knew the location and type of job involved up front. If they can't even be straightforward about this, I would hate to think about their customer service once you actually hire them.

NO CALL, NO SHOW, NO NOTHING. What makes it even more frustrating is he was referred by a really good friend of mine, whose opinion I value highly. Our search for a landscaper began as a search for someone to repair a leaking foundation. After three foundation companies said our water intrusion issues were grading related we started our search for a landscaper in Severna Park. I called 6 companies, 3 showed up for the scheduled appointments to price the work and out of those 1 provided us with a proposal. We'd asked for an itemized proposal with a few 'wish list' items and got back a lump sum estimate for the grading portion of the project alone. I called one more company at the recommendation of a neighbor-- Bear Landscaping. It took about a week to get on Russell's busy spring calendar, but he showed up on time, listened to ALL of our concerns (including my constant wants versus needs budgeting assessment) and gave us his recommendations. In addition to the grading he addressed how to make our project last -- namely our super shaded yard with lots of tall (and many dead) trees wouldn't allow for grass to maintain the grading project meaning we'd be in a cycle of re-doing the work. Russell suggested removing the trees (I could only hear cash register sounds in my head as he continued), laying sod and finishing with river rock on the side of our house. Within days I had a quote in my email that had to be wrong: it was nearly half of the quote that I'd expected to receive and considerably more competitive than the one from a big name company (who only priced the grading work which I'd have had to pay for multiple times over because the solution wasn't a long term one). I was floored. We booked all of the services immediately and Russell's team came out for the tree removal about two weeks later and just came back after another week to finish the grading, sod and river rock treatment. Russell's team even hit a snag with their drainage approach when our deck turned out to have another deck built underneath it, but they quickly pivoted to a new solution without hesitation. Also worth noting: both landscaping crews that came to our house were friendly and professional to us and our neighbors. My husband and I could not be happier-- the transformation of our property is unbelievable. We have had neighbors seek us out to compliment the work. We are so grateful for Russell's easygoing, no pressure and honest approach, and that he took the time to truly listen to our concerns and fully explain solutions. We will absolutely be reaching back out to Bear Landscaping and singing their praises to all who will listen.

I hired this company for several exterior repairs. The concrete work turned out well, and I was…read morepleased with that portion. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the front door trim replacement. I provided photos and explained that I wanted something similar to the existing trim. We discussed flat PVC, and I specifically asked if it would be similar to what was already there, just without the decorative profile. The finished result was not what I expected, and the caulking and paint work did not look professionally finished. Paint was left on the concrete near the bottom door trim, and debris was left in the yard. The storm door also did not operate properly after the work--it no longer opened as far or closed/latch as it had before. Screws were also left stripped and shutters were bent. I had to carve out additional time for the company to return and try to correct the issues. I had also requested replacement of the smaller inner trim, but only after the work was completed was I told that it was part of the storm door and could not simply be replaced. I wish this had been explained during the estimate so I could have made an informed decision beforehand. The original project also included work on the garden hose connection. They ran into an issue and told me they would provide a new quote, but I never received one. Even if they ultimately couldn't complete the work, a follow-up letting me know would have been appreciated. Overall, the concrete work was good, but the door-trim workmanship, cleanup, communication, additional time required for corrections, and lack of follow-through left me disappointed.
