Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the front door trim replacement. I provided photos and explained that I wanted something similar to the existing trim. We discussed flat PVC, and I specifically asked if it would be similar to what was already there, just without the decorative profile. The finished result was not what I expected, and the caulking and paint work did not look professionally finished. Paint was left on the concrete near the bottom door trim, and debris was left in the yard. The storm door also did not operate properly after the work--it no longer opened as far or closed/latch as it had before. Screws were also left stripped and shutters were bent. I had to carve out additional time for the company to return and try to correct the issues. I had also requested replacement of the smaller inner trim, but only after the work was completed was I told that it was part of the storm door and could not simply be replaced. I wish this had been explained during the estimate so I could have made an informed decision beforehand. The original project also included work on the garden hose connection. They ran into an issue and told me they would provide a new quote, but I never received one. Even if they ultimately couldn't complete the work, a follow-up letting me know would have been appreciated. Overall, the concrete work was good, but the door-trim workmanship, cleanup, communication, additional time required for corrections, and lack of follow-through left me disappointed.

Since then, over a month has passed with no work done and nearly no communication. We were dealing with Jack, the owner, who initially responded; but after taking our deposit, he stopped answering our calls completely. We tried following up multiple times with no luck. Eventually, we had our admin office call on our behalf, and they actually picked up, gave a date to be on-site, and then, again, didn't show up. After that, they started ignoring our admin's calls too. Then on October 1, a random person called us saying someone would be at the site on October 2 or 3. When we pushed back, saying this was the third time we were promised a date, the caller admitted they had no idea about our project; they were just told to call and say someone would show up. Unsurprisingly, no one came, and since then, we've been completely ghosted again. We now have no choice but to hire a different company, which is delaying our own business operations and impacting our clients. After checking Yelp, we discovered this company has done the same thing to others, taking deposits and not following through. We feel scammed and are demanding a full refund of our $4,500 deposit. This is highly unprofessional and unacceptable behavior. Avoid East Coast Concrete at all costs.

Purchasing my current home and inquired about getting the chimney inspected and possibly cleaned…read more Home was 60 years old and oil furnance in use. Prior owners never had chimney cleaned or inspected. Met with Vince and upon inspection of chimney and the thimble connection access that was blocked off by cinder block wall recommend a demo of the wall and a stainless steel liner, and was given a quote. Got a couple more quotes in the spring and went with ChimneyTEK because of the inspection QUALITY and pricing of the quote. The demo work needed on the thimble connection threw off all quotes and given estimates from others that were pricey (sub out demo work) or poorly estimated (unnecessary add ins not needed). I called Vince SEVERAL times to discuss and go over the quote/work (not familiar with work involved and wanted to understand the what and why) each time Vince answered my questions and definitely had a better handle on the job (no subs) had experience on my thimble issue. Crew did a GREAT job, the demo work went better than I imagined. The stainless steel liner was really needed based upon seeing how blocked the thimble was 60-65% and all the soot removed from the chimney prior to installing the liner. This job was a learning experience for me and the job went a lot smoother than I anticipated (did not know what to expect). Proof of insurance also provided before job started. GREAT JOB! So I woke up early, and no call at 7:30. The office is only 45 min from my house, so don't know what's up with that. Next the 2 techs showed up and cleaned 1 chimney and we're here about 1.5 hours. Then they told me they were deeming my chimney unfit for use and gave me an estimate for a new liner at 7k. the sighted several issues. The first the there was to much creosote, and looking at the pictures i remember thinking , if they had worked a little longer they could have done a better job. Then they said my fire box needed to be re-shaped or it would cause smoke to come into my house. All the years i've lived here, i've had raging fires all winter long and not once had smoke coming into my house. The tech also noticed where i repaired some of the mortar in the fireplace and said 'whoever did that used the wrong mortar and it would have to be re-done'. Little did he know I did and used fireplace morter that i purchased at a fireplace/chimney store (still have the can it came in) In conclusion it felt like I was at a car dealership and these guys work on commission. I only used them because the regular chimney service I use every year to clean my chimney was unavailable this week and I needed it done because i'm going out of state for awile.
