When I found out, I said I am going to go and see her. I am glad that I did, and we were happy to see each other. So today practically all day, we spent some time together at this lovely, clean mall that is surrounded by so many great stores and eateries. There are probably over 130 stores and places to eat inside and outside the mall. Let me not forget to tell you, some of the restrooms that we used were SPOTLESS CLEAN!!! They have different stores such as Disney, Nike Factory Store, Coach, Polo Ralph Lauren Factory Store, Michael Kors, Guess, BOSS Outlet, Beauty and Specialty Stores, Tommy Hilfiger (one of my favorite designers & brands). Converse Factory Outlet, & Gap. Just to name a few. They have vending machines available with snacks and drinks. Also, a lot of nice restaurants nearby. Free parking and close to the I-5 freeway. We went to Gap and Converse, and I bought me 2 pairs of tennis shoes. Get one, and the other one was 50% off. Fantastic deal. From Gap, I got a nice, long, black jacket. Thin material and very comfortable. They also had clean dressing rooms at Gap. Every item has its own value and price. Both stores that we went to had great employees who were eager to help us. Customer service was above and beyond our expectations. We even had lunch at Panda Express. The list can go on and on and on. It has been like 7 years I haven't seen my friend. She used to live here, we used to work together, and then she relocated back to Florida to help her parents. It was a great outing, the only thing was that there was construction going on around the mall. Maybe they are building more businesses? Thank you all for everything. Always be & stay consistent!!

This is a super giant outlet shopping mall near LA downtown. They have several parking lot and…read moregarages at two opposite ends of the mall. There are over hundred stores spread across a huge area. It is a lot of walking to go from one end to another, including the separate section that has Disney store. There are not as many high end/luxurious brand stores. There was also some contractions going on in one corner of the building. Most of the shops have sun shade in front of their store which allows customers to walk in shade. During the day it gets really hot. There are few sitting areas with shade available. There are vending machines available with snack and drinks. Restrooms are available in three separate sections. The outlet had a shaded food court area with multiple vendor stores. There are couple of dine-in restaurants available as well. We came to the outlet on multiple days. It was busy on both days since it was the weekend. Some of the stores like TH, Guess and Levi's were two floors. Other ones like Nike and Adidas seemed disappointing product wise. There's a 10% sales tax on everything. Overall a decent outlet mall, but not as impressive compared the ones I have been in NJ and NY.

Most of the common areas are clean. There's a small water fountain and some bench chairs for resting. All the bakery and restaurants in this mall are Asian. Gram, Sunmerry and Hong Kong cafe are most well known bakeries. Among restaurants, there are dim sum, hot pot, k-bbq and noodles house spots. Multiple bubble tea store are there including Hey Tea. For shopping, there's not many option, just few local stores and a Daiso.

Another building (yes - there are several buildings here) at this mall houses NutriShop, SW Merchant, and MPJ Nail Spa. I actually parked under this building. Because... Even though there's free shared parking... when it's full, look for the Additional Underground Parking. Some of the spaces at the Underground Parking are covered! Enjoy!

The restaurant is still here and probably took over most of the small stores for their space. There's a boba shop, a gym, bakery, and a few other businesses here. And it's a nice garage, well kept and clean, free for 2 hours with validation. You never need to worry about parking when you come here! Like much of Arts District, it's kind of industrial chic vibes. It's an open-air spot with just lovely landscaping and seating all around. There are some excellent food options like Pikunico and Hayato, as well as Go Get Em Tiger for coffee needs. Very cool stores including concept spots and trendy clothing shops. And i'm def getting my next tattoo at Nonfromseoul. Aside from the brick & mortar shops and restaurants and weekly Sunday Smorgasburg, I've been to some other smaller cultural fests & pop ups here. That being said, ROW DTLA is a dreamscape when it comes to filming content and just catching city vibes in a safe space. Located near the Arts District this space of buildings used to be utilized for the textile industry. With multi floored buildings creating rows of foot traffic on the ground this space is perfect for events, pop ups, and get togethers. It's one of the reasons why Smorgasburg is held here on Sundays. It's why on any given weekend there may be an event being held, whether it be to celebrate AAPI month or the different creatives in the area. This space is filled with homegrown businesses and unique shops to visit. One of my favorite places is Hightide which is a Japanese stationary and supplies shop. The vibes are immaculate and walking in really feels like being in a store in Japan. Another popular space is Scent Bar for those who love perfume and are aromaphiles. With plenty of small curated artists being featured in this apothecary of aromas, Scent Bar is a nice stop whilst visiting the Row. If you're looking for interesting and discussion worthy furniture A+R is a must, located at one of the ends of the Row. For good coffee with artistic vibes you got to check out GGET (Go Get Em Tiger). Next to that if you're looking for stronger waters is Flask & Field with smaller batch and independent distilleries and crafters. All of this and the parking is free for the first 2 hours. In LA, that's unheard of! And it's a large parking structure with modern infrastructure. Blessed. With all this, hopefully ROW DTLA will continue to grow with more businesses and still retain its charm as time marches forward. Outside of the pit in the plaza area, sometimes I like to go to Monkey Pants, but it is a small shop, but they have cute trinkets and sometimes character mascots have meet and greet events, Catch on the 3rd floor, Neko Stop, Maneki Neko, Tokyo Japanese Lifestyle, the Sanrio store, Nijiya for quick drinks or snacks, Yamazaki bakery for the meat buns, Mitsuru Cafe for super cheap dango and takoyaki, and sometimes they have cool collab decoration and events throughout this location. Anyway, we looked over and saw dustpans. I've been wanting to buy a new dustpan because the old one was damaged when I had to use it to shovel snow a few weeks back when the high desert had a snowstorm. Yes, you read right... I used a dustpan to shovel snow (1st time shoveling snow + using a dustpan to do it) LOL... it wasn't too bad actually. One gray dustpan was $4.49 + tax... not too shabby and it's the sturdy type, too. I didn't check out any other items in the shop, but from what I can tell, they do have some nifty knick knacks, small appliances, general household stuff, etc. It doesn't have a lot of space for customers to walk around though... there are only 2 aisles really... the one closest to the entrance and the one on the other side of the wall LOL. I grabbed one dustpan, waited in line (wait wasn't too bad), and paid cash for it. The lady at the cashier was pleasant. She may have been the owner... not 100% sure though. Great for getting specific asian appliances that are difficult to find on Amazon or other big-chain appliance stores like Best Buy etc. They also sell a lot of little tiny tools, such as cookware etc. Feels kind of like Daiso. Overall, a pretty neat place to visit and check things out!
