Inside Dining Area for Food Court

Love this place. So many awesome deals for lunch. New Star Thai is my favorite. I got cashew nut chicken for $6.99 with white rice. The couple that owns the place doesn't speak much English so I just point at the menu and smile. Parking is easy.

There's a supermarket, food court, boba place, and some designer watch/clothes shops in this plaza. What I Usually Come Here For: - The Food Court: There are a variety of restaurants, serving ramen, Thai food, Cantonese food, and even Vietnamese desserts! The prices are pretty reasonable, considering some restaurants don't charge you tax. Also, just be cautious of the sitting areas. They're dirty, and... some of the chairs are broken, so you might wanna check before you sit. - The Supermarket: If you go there in the afternoon, they have 3-5 stands of free samples! There's also a place you can purchase lottery tickets. (Although... I've never purchased one myself.) If you go over a certain amount for your purchases, they'll give you some incentive. My family and I got some light bulbs for spending over $50! Light bulbs, people! It used to be so hard to find parking in this plaza. But now... with Ledo Cafe and the Dim Sum place closed down, there's plenty of parking spaces near those restaurants.

**** Authentic Asian Food Court **** This food court located in the Garvey square shopping center which shares with the square market. About 10 food vendors. Most of the food vendors are Chinese, except two which serves ramen and korean tofu, which from what I heard is not good and is pricey. Most customer come to food to court to order the congee or the wanton soup. One vendor selling Vietnamese specility drink and dessert. Basically they serve authentic food, most of them staff will hard problem understand English, so if you do visit here bring someone who speak Chinese. This food court do not had the problem with seating, usually is not even half full, There is always a staff there to clean up. Also there is 2 television. I do miss the arcade, those were the good old days. None of the food here are exceptional, but they are good for what it cost. If you want get something to fill your stomach quick for under $5, this place definite worth a look. I think they should add WiFi it would be great while waiting or dining here. The TV only show local channel no cable.

Our favor shop in the food court is the Cantonese style"Xi Guan Noodle House". My parents and I often order the beef brisket wontons noodle in soup or rice noodle soup. The price is between $3.50 to $5.00 and is so delicious. The Vietnamese dessert is very colorful and had been busy with customers.

Great to finally check out this food court at Garvey St. in the City of Rosemead Ca. It's similar to the Asian food court, in the city of Santa Anita Ca only bigger and a market inside. Many stations and dishes are quite reasonable from $5-12 dollars. Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese and Korean -Japanese are all represented. Recommend! Go Try!

Wonton Noodle Soup. Couldn't resist. Had a few bitea before the photo

Stick to their top 3 on the menu. - cluck2go: one of my family's favorite hainan chicken spot. We usually get it from the Pasadena location though. - aqua fresca and vitacane juice bars are also very refreshing! - Filipino owned bake shop is also delicious, usually buy to take home as a sweet treat later. - Beignets: cooked hot to order...oh the powdery goodness!! - Georgies Mediterranean: Fastest service as I have never been to a fast Mediterranean spot. When i got the chicken shawarma i was skeptical from the looks of it. Didn't too too appetizing but when i took a bite, oh the flavors were there. Different regions have their own twist. This had loads of flavors and spice and more curry to it. If you like curry, you will enjoy this. Seats: Place is huge and plenty of spaces. Outdoor is relaxing where the kids can roam Cost/Variety: A bit more costly then a typical restaurant but most food halls do cost more. However, compared to other food halls i had been to, this is a bit on lower end of cost then a few others plus do have more options on food choices which i like. Ambience: Generally good but compared to others I have been to, i would like a small kid play area. Like arcade games or even bag toss, a climbing mall gym like corner or giant connect four etc. that would make it complete.

My wife and I came through here recently because we heard from a local that this was the spot to go to try authentic take-away dishes over in San Gabriel. We were in the area and gave it a try. The place is really unassuming and is definitely a family labor of love. No frills, but tons to try, and many are the types of dishes you don't see in typical American-style Chinese food. There are probably 25-30 food options, all laid out cafeteria-style. There aren't any labels to tell you what everything is, but they're happy to help you along the way.
