Business practices are questionable at best. Took my Power Washer to Tru-Arc for repair. The water…read morepump was not working. After taking the power washer to Tru-Arc and making a 35.00 deposit. A week after dropping it off, found out that they (service personnel) had not even looked it and after calling them found out that it would be at least another week before they could even take a look at it. called again the following week to find out they had not gotten to it yet. The following Monday called them again to find out "they had cleaned all the valves and the pump was working. The shop was waiting for a wheel to come in at that point. called again the following Monday and was told the pump block was cracked, even though a week earlier we had been told the pump was working. Clearly we were misled here. after further discussion the shop said they would look for a pump and would call us back the same afternoon. I told them there was a upgraded pump that could be ordered on line. I researched it and the shop could do the same. No surprise here that they failed to call us back as promised. We then called back the next morning and was told they could not find a replacement pump. We were also told the $35.00 dollar deposit would not be refunded even though the shop failed to fix my power washer....the deposit only covered the initial diagnostics of the inoperative power washer. All in all...a very bad experience with Tru-Arc. No updates from the shop, No straight stories from the personnel there, and an unwillingness to refund my deposit even though they had not fixed the problem.

The fee was acceptable and paying was easy with Venmo, Cash App and PayPal. We talked liked neighbors for about 30 minutes when he was done fixing it, as he regaled me with colorful mower stories which convinced me he knows his business. Mower runs great so far. So I was happy with the end result. Jim has a unique business edge. He makes house calls. This is a big deal when your mower won't run and you have no way to get your rig to his shop. If I was running his business, I would push this advantage. At first, I had called a backyard mechanic but had to find a way to get my tractor to his house. That was a deal breaker. Then I called Earl's Place and put that worry to rest. The key, however, is patience and acceptance of some odd business practices (in my opinion). I called his number and got his voice mail which said to call the office number. I called and the woman at the other end said to text him as that's how he prefers to communicate. I texted and he texted back quick enough. But business by text?! Next, he showed up when he said he would to diagnose, then said he had to order parts and said he will see me the following week. Three weeks went by and I finally called him. He said I was on the schedule for that day or next. He showed up ahead of schedule and fixed the problem with a quickness. But I would have been more at ease if he had called or texted with an update in those 3 weeks I waited to hear from him. I would def recommend Jim and will call him again if I have a problem. Have faith in your fellow man, have some patience, and see what Jim can do for you. I trust him.

I have not received the bagger or any contact from this business since about the status of this order. I wrote letters on 6/3 and 7/3 requesting a refund - no responses. On 8/3 I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Please beware of doing business with this company (dba Weeks Services, Jim & Son Corp, Jim Knox owner).
