The communication was top notch and our technician (Carter) showed up and quickly diagnosed the problem, he could have repaired the machine, but the cost was the same as a new machine, so we decided not to repair and get a new one. Drew, the Sears technician, was good as he is a professional that knows the equipment and is very knowledgeable about the service they require. He got 5 stars. As for your website. It needs help. I initially had Sears come over to resolve an issue and it turned out really confused. He ordered the part and charged me $200+ dollars for the part plus $100 for coming over. Then I find out almost $700 to install a washer gasket. Seemed a bit expensive for being a member client in your Sears service. Once the part came to my home the system kept rescheduling appointments (4 times) until I had to almost cancel the service to get someone to answer the phone. I was on the phone at least 4 times with AI and finally a real person. Once I got a REAL person in the chat was I able to resolve the problem. The AI chat couldn't comprehend a different issue outside a typical scheduling and part ordering task. This online system needs attention. Drew and your LIVE online help is the only thing that kept me a continuing customer. It definitely wasn't the AI scheduling system. I understand that is where things are going but you have to have a "get out of jail free card" on the website to resolve real more complicated issues. Absolutely horrible. I requested an appointment and received texts and calls early in the morning that the repair person was on their way to never show up. I rescheduled for an appointment 3 days later, again, same thing - it looked like they were going to show up until it kept getting pushed later and then they rescheduled for two days later. It was impossible to try and speak with someone, everything was automated. Needless to say, I'm done and will use a reputable company to fix my washing machine later this week. Nathaniel was very nice. He looked at our washer and tested it by running a short load. It wasn't spinning during the rinse cycle. He called someone and then came back and told us we would need a new motor board costing over $800. I said no to getting the washer fixed thinking I would just buy a new one. So I went online and found out that I only had to reset the washer by unplugging it for 10 minutes. Well it worked! i know you are in business to make money but your technicians should be more knowledgable about fixing customers appliances. read more

Quite possibly the worst company on the planet!! They came out to look at my refrigerator in Ocean View in June, order parts and it's still not fixed as of October 10th. I drove from Maryland twice and back when they scheduled appointments, but no one ever showed up. There is absolutely no way to talk to a person in the United States on the phone, as calls automatically get routed over seas, even when you call a 302 number. DO NOT USE SEARS HOME APPLIANCE!! ABSOLUTELY A F***ING NIGHTMARE. So they responded (below) to my review and tell me to call the number that routes you overseas to people who work for contractors and could care less about customer services. Provided all required appliance specs and booked a window of 1pm-5pm three days in advance. On the day of scheduled service, I was sent a link to track the technician that led to an "Error: page not found" site on "Rebrandly." Original email confirmation link did work, with technician estimated to arrive at 4:53pm in 1p-5p window! As time went by, the est arrival time moved to 6:30, 7:15, and eventually 9:08p. It felt like they were just playing chicken, hoping we would cancel, which we finally did. Hire more technicians or stop committing to service visits you can't fulfill. read more

I had an issue with the water filter, not staying locked in place that stumped all of us. So unfortunately, I had to rig it to keep it in place. The tech was good and so was the rookie apprentice. That said, the rookie was following in his own vehicle and not riding with the main tech in the Company van and they should both be wearing some type of uniform to designate the company they work for and who they are. Just my two cents. So the three star rating is mostly for the company's lack of uniformity. read more

Mike was terrific. He made our day. The service work had a few issues but he handled it. I was not satisfied with the scheduling. My first notification stated a 7-8am arrival. It changed many times but it was 5pm before Mike arrived. I think you need to review your scheduling policies. Just saying am or pm would be would be better. read more

This was the 4th or 5th time in 3.5 months that this tech has come to service our dishwasher. ( I have lost count) It is still not working properly. He became very agitated when we tried to discuss the issue with him. He stormed out, we didn't realize that he drove away until we checked our driveway after 10 mins and he was gone! A technician was sent out through Choice Home Warranty 2 times. My heat pump was not heating, blowing cold air. On the first trip out the heat was working for about 2 days. Called back to request another trip out. The second trip out same result. Worked for about 5 days then stopped producing heat!!! The tech (so called tech) advised me if it stops working again then I should throw the main heat pump circuit breaker at my main panel!!! I called CHW and insisted they dispatch a different company they in turn said I would have to pay another service call fee!!! I am furious!!! I don't know who I am more disgusted with, CHW or Sears Home Services!!! Now I have to wait another 7-8 days before someone comes out and I'm not confident it will be fixed!!! STAY AWAY FROM SEARS APPLIANCE REPAIR AND SEAR HOME SERVICES. The worst company ever ! It took them 4 weeks to fix my heat when it was the coldest part of winter. Horrible. Was set up with them through my home warranty company. Was told I would get a 1-hour notice before the technician got to my house since I was at work. I got a call 5 mins before he was to arrive, rushed home from work only to find out that the technician was unprepared to repair my dryer even though I described he problem and gave the brand name of the dryer, he didn't have the very basic parts on his truck. Told me he couldn't come back for two weeks. Had to order the parts. When I went online to check the status of the parts delivery, I see that my dryer was listed as an LG and not a Samsung. So I'm quite sure they will order the wrong parts. Tried to speak to a representative about this. Could not connect to a human. Had to Chat with a rep who just told me the parts were ordered. Didn't correct the error and couldn't tell me if the parts were ordered for an LG or a Samsung. While I was typing another question for the rep, he ended the chat. I highly doubt my dryer will be repaired before Christmas. If I wasn't assigned to them through the warranty company, I would never continue. I have filed a complaint with the warranty company as well. Why would they even contract with such a loser company? read more
