However, he went outside one more time before leaving and all of a sudden my compressor has now given out (go figure). He purposely broke my compressor and then wrote up a report (that he never gave me a copy of), but according to my home warranty, he lied about needing 2 people to come out and fix the compressor, due to an access issue (2 person labor costs). However, the (almost 1 yr old) unit is outside , on the ground and was just changed in Jan 2025 with one tech. I guess him and his buddy need some extra holiday cash. Mind you, I hadn't given them final payment yet. The guy crawled under the house and came out with an arm full of old duct work and insulation. He then told they had "missed something." (I was later told it was because it was "up in the plumbing.") Then I showed them the picture that my plumbing contractor had taken under my sunroom, showing that it had been untouched. They then told me that they hadn't known where the access was. Yet they never asked me, they just completely ignored it When they came back to finish the job they left a mess. There were clumps of insulation, and even a baked up piece of paper littering my back yard. I had to call them back AGAIN. The guy cleaned things up and left the access doors open to "show me" all was done. It looked fine... though I didn't crawl under. Thank God for my plumber or I would have been seriously ripped off!
