Rheumatologist Dr Aftab misdiagnosed my type of arthritis and prescribed unnecessary medication with harmful side effects. It is customary for rheumatologists to rely on blood work, imaging, and physical examination of affected joints to make an educated diagnosis. Surprisingly, she never examined my hands and totally ignored the results of the blood work and imaging reports (that made the correct diagnosis). She was content to hold future appointments by Zoom so there never would be a visual examination of my affected joints and possible deterioration. I sought out 2 doctors for second opinions and both performed a visual exam and reviewed my blood work and imaging. Both concluded Dr. Aftab's diagnosis was a mistake. Frankly, any rheumatologist who does not perform a physical examination of arthritic joints, ignores the reports from tests she ordered, and then does not need to meet with the patient in person for any follow-up care after the initial visit is performing a grave injustice to her patients. read more

This is not about the practice it's about one doctor in particular. Gilda Zampino - Lets start with this snooty unprofessional woman that has a high opinion of self. Personal experience with her resulted in her playing games with my health and putting me in jeopardy. Cutting off my prescriptions due to her lack of knowledge and care, not familiarizing herself with disorders she has limited experience with. Not reviewing my history. (I have been with the practice over a year with another physician that sadly left i August) During this appointment she got up and walked out in the middle of appointment failing to return. Apparently this is just a common practice for her. Mind you this was after she wouldn't refill my prescriptions the week prior even though she requested I call in for them. She doesn't note in your electronic chart during the appointment she uses paper but fails to take those notes and transfer them to your chart, which results in her lapse of memory and the line "I don't remember". I was then asked to return to the practice 5 more times to try to resolve this concern and resume my medications to which she would schedule the appointment and then just leave early to avoid dealing with. 3 days just walked out of the office and 4th day waited until last minute to call out not only still jeopardizing my health but the health of her other patients as well. The next day (5) she flat out just refused to even see me stating I'm not doing this. For a "doctor" who supposedly has been practicing for 21 years I find it horrifying this woman is still practicing and hasn't be sanctioned and had her medical license revoked. I am surprised that Atlanticare has this woman's back and she is still with the practice. This experience for me has been emotionally draining, stressful, aggravating, neglectful, rude, dismissive, illegal, demanding, toxic, hypocritical, outrageous, unhealthy, demeaning, demoralizing, absurd, calculating and degrading to just say. Gilda Zampino is fraudulent, uncaring, unprofessional and exhibited the worst case of patient abandonment, neglect and malpractice. I have never seen a "doctor" instead of discussing a plan of care and coordinating with your other providers instead literally just leave the office. As well a "doctor" that goes into your chart and falsify's information. This has resulted in going to the Medical Director, VP of Quality and Safety repeated times, them contacting Zampino to resolve this and her blatant disregard to not speak with them and follow through. I am curious to see what happens with her now, as there is no way Atlanticare would feel safe embracing this type of behavior and lack of care for patients. read more

the worst place i have ever been , the hospital is filthy and the doctor put stents in my heart i did not need and i will suffer from the stress for life knowing i have them and do not need them. i will be unhappy 4 ever because they want to max out your bill and make you pay forever. read more
