Shy is the employee, name of the person that was very difficult to work with.  A very expecisve procedure was unclear to me and asked for help to understand what my money is being expensed  for.  i asked several times for someone that can explain to me what the procedures were and what my money was being used for.  Shy was trying to look up the procurders and had a difficult time.  She became irritated and started to have an attitude and raising her voice, so i raised mine.  she then told me that i am the difficult person.  i tired and tired to calm her down.  she eventually told me that i don't need to someone else for my procedure. end of story. read more

This dental practice apparently was sold within the last year. Subsequent to that sale, I had occasion to visit their office twice. Both visits had to do with repairs needed to implants and a partial, both of which were done by Atlantis Dental. Total cost was $595. When Dr. Patel was Atlantis Dental, I was very satisfied with the treatment I received, and had no complaint about the work done or the cost. My last two experiences make me believe that somewhere along the way, Atlantis Dental forgot that it was a service business and that the main goal was creating bills. read more

I came for just a preventative cleaning which I shouldn't have to pay with my good dental insurance but I am Came out with a 180 dollar bill. How's that even possible. She is a crook and she knows it. I hope she enjoys her new toys off hard working Americans money. Attach is my bill she sent to insurance and now I have to pay out my 88 dollars I already gave. My wife literally works in HR in insurance told lady in the phone what I needed and she still went behind our backs. Atlantis Dental Care - Bull charges scam behind. My back liars - General Dentistry Near Me - Atlantis, Florida

My husband visited this office for preventative care (routine cleaning and xrays) which is covered on our Cigna PPO dental plan. When he visited, they wanted him to pay a copay which he should not have to pay since Preventative care is included on our plan. I spoke with the dental office and was told that he was being charged for an additional scan that they wanted to complete. I explained that we only wanted them to complete the cleaning and xrays that are included in the plan. When I got off the phone they told my husband that they would complete the scan at no cost. After his services were completed, they gave him a large quote for Fillings. He told them that he would speak to his wife about our options since the quote was more than $2,000. The women told him that he didn't need to tell me about it. Today we received a bill in the mail for $102 in addition to the $88 he paid in the office (although he shouldn't have paid) for cancer screenings and additional treatment and scans that we specifically did that we did not want. This office is a scam, they charge you for services you do not want. My husband also told me that the equipment is old and out dated. We would not recommend this practice, they scam patience that are not aware of what is covered on their insurance and that take the advice of their dentist. Lucky for us, I work directly with the insurance broker and will work to have this resolved but others may not be as lucky. We choose this practice because they are in network with Cigna and had great reviews, but we were sadly disappointed and misled. Would not recommend this practice. read more

Went for initial visit that includes X-rays and cleaning. Once the dentist looked and said everything was fine but wanted to do a cleaning, I was brought an estimate for over $700 for cleaning and they wouldn't do the included clearing until I did their "specialized" cleaning. I have been to many dentists and never had such a "bait & switch" situation. Their focus is to get you in the door, miss represent themselves to get you to sign up for their "packages". No refund given or explanation except that they don't do the included cleaning if I don't do the specialized. I don't recommend this place. read more

From the front desk to the technicians everyone was very well qualified , polite and informative. Dr Patel did a fabulous job in replacing my crown. Her staff was excellent seeing to it that I was comfortable and cared for. Dr.Patel and her husband run an amazing office. Updated and clean!!!!! Amazing new machines that take 3D graphs of teeth. Great staff as well, kind and very attentive. I am an adult scaredy cat when it comes to going to the dentist. I was finally forced to pick one as I had a broken tooth. I checked out reviews before going to Atlantis Dental. The whole staff made me sooooo comfortable. Unfortunately, I neglected my teeth where the choices as to what to do are limited. Dr. Patel was so honest as to try and save me money from doing work that might not be the best choice. Their first visit is so reasonable with a coupon and they spent a very long time with xrays and going over my treatment plan. I got prepped yesterday for a crown. I couldn't believe that the price was over $200 less than originally quoted as I did not need the build up. I have never been to such an honest dentist. I have already recommended friends. After waiting 3 weeks for an appointment I was seen by an associate. The associate individual was unsure how to proceed and requested I come back to see Patel for a consult. One week later I returned for the consult with Patel, as she entered my room she began asking what I was there for. I asked if she had reviewed my x-ray and chart and from her questions it was apparent she had not. She was passive aggressive and rude. Her lack of knowledge regarding my first visit (she stated she had discussed, in depth, my visit with the associate) concerned me combined with her unacceptable attitude prompted me to leave and find dentist who actually cares about their patients. read more
