We chose atlas for work in early 2022. Some truly atrocious corner cuts. When I complained about the circular cuts around the pool equipment they tried to blame the pool company even though nothing about their cuts is even. There are areas around the pool sinking. I've called them back to fill gaps and they put a huge grit in that didn't match, looked terrible, and stuck to your feet every time you walked around the pool. 4 years later it looks pretty awful. read more

I've done numerous hours researching and interviewing many landscapers because it was very important to me to find the "Right Contractor" since I was going to trust them with my house/backyard. I'd give 5000000** STARS if I could!!! I'm so HAPPY and GRATEFUL to have Junior and his team for many reasons but there are 3 main reasons why I think they're THE BEST: (1) COMMUNICATION: communication is the very important key for everything and Junior was THE BEST PERSON when it comes to communication. I was able to get a quick response from him about anything (paver choices, timeline, light options, etc) via text messages, phone calls, and photos with comments. Since this was my first renovation, I had many questions about the project. When I asked for his honest feedback, Junior was there to give me professional advice and recommendations. To be honest, I felt bad for asking him 1000s questions but he always answered them quickly without any hesitation :) (2) WORK ETHIC/PUNCTUALITY: Junior has been working with his team of employees for many years--a very important factor for me since they're NOT just temporarily-hired workers for the short-term (a big "No-No" for me). His team of experts (Candido as Project Lead) all enjoyed working on this project and they had very good work ethics. All the guys always arrived on time to work and even worked late hours to finish up the project if needed. Even when I stopped by to check on things, they were more than happy to answer my questions and kept me updated on what they were working on. (3) FLEXIBILITY: Before starting the backyard project, Junior provided me with a 3D simulation video of what the completed project would look like in my backyard, which was a total selling point for me because it showed he cared enough to spend his time making this simulation to give me a visual. He also gave me the very realistic scope of the project along with the price due at each stage of the project (**HUGE PLUS since you PAY what you AGREE ON--NO HIDDEN FEE). Junior and his team executed each step superbly within a reasonable time. Even when I added some additional projects (adding outdoor lights on the bench and ground) last minute, he was very professional about it and was able to accommodate my requests flawlessly. We all know that planning for the landscape can be very stressful, especially when it costs a lot of money. Before I met Junior, I heard so many horror stories about landscapers/contractors being shady and untrustworthy. Not only Junior was able to make my dream backyard come true with his great workmanship, but he also gave me peace of mind throughout this rather stressful process by working with his professionalism and expertise. Atlas Pavers just finished demoing our old cracked and uneven cement, and paving our walkway from sidewalk to front porch, the walkway along the side of our home from porch to backyard, and installing a Flow-Well underground drainage system along the way. All of the work performed was done thoroughly and efficiently, and everyone from Junior, the owner, to the project managers, the demo team, the drainage installers, and the paver installers are clearly experts at their job, along with being friendly and easy to work with. We could not be happier about the job Atlas did in our backyard. They were nice enough to build a sandbox for our twins. After almost 2 years , the sandbox has become a swamp. We had a great experience using Atlas Pavers Co with Lima as our design consultant. Our side patio is pretty small at only 280 square feet and we were looking for a design that would help us maximize the space as well as a company with a fair minimum project size. Atlas had a fair minimum project cost while also being a well experienced and professional operation. Lima was very responsive from the day I called until we were completed. He quickly scheduled a consultation and was very helpful in finalizing a design. Unlike the other companies we had quote the work, he encouraged us to take a more simple approach as over-complicating the design would make the space feel smaller and actually limit our use of the space. Lima started with the company on the construction/demo side of their business and moved into the design role, so he has a strong understanding of the actual implementation of design elements. I was also impressed that a local Concord company is hiring and promoting from within. Atlas was working on another project nearby and was able to get us on the schedule at an earlier date than expected. The demo and construction were done according to their estimated timeline, if not faster, and Lima was in touch regularly throughout the process. The project came out exactly as we were hoping and we have been enjoying the space ever since. The sales rep Jorge N was on time to our consultation, gave some good design suggestions and was very friendly. Initially I was nervous about the process but Junior was very helpful and guided me through the process and design . They had a show room with some sample pavers already installed, which were very helpful to see it visually. After multiple offers from different companies, I chose Atlas pavers. What I learned from the planning process with Junior is that, it is good to have everything on contract even the small details. I assume they are busy and forget what was promised so it is always good to have all the details, no matter how small on the contract. After getting a few bids I hired Atlas to do a job involving pathways, retaining walls and a concrete curb drive that required a city permit. Of all the bids only Atlas was willing to do the curb with the permit. Junior was responsive,helped with the documents needed for the permit and provided advice in the design phase and material selection. Atlas just completed a project for us that involved replacing a low concrete retaining wall with a stone one: replacing cracked concrete driveway with pavers; replacing a concrete path with a paver path; and replacing a sloping and cracked concrete patio with pavers with partial subterranean retaining wall. The end result is beautiful. Our project manager Gabriel sketched out a good plan and checked in regularly by phone or in person to see how the project was going. As expected there were some glitches along the way and things that needed to be a little reworked, but Gabriel saw to it that they were fully addressed and that we were more than satisfied. So happy with our new backyard and driveway! Our old yard and driveway was all cracked concrete with many uneven areas that when it rained would collect puddles & be muddy and in the summer we'd be surrounded with foxtails. We wanted proper drainage and to add more useable square footage to our home. The project was a big investment to us and we wanted a team we could trust and who could do it correctly. The Altas Team is great! Fermin was essential to the success of this project. He was very patient and answered all our questions from the start - maybe too many questions sometimes! He was available throughout the project. We had a vision for our backyard and he helped with the details, dealing with all the curves that we wanted and designing the project just to our standards. He explained about the many different paver block options to choose from and helped us get the right look we wanted for our budget. He has a good eye for design and is just a great guy to chat with. Fabio, Candido and the hands on team were THE BEST! They showed up everyday, worked their butts off (have you ever picked up one paver block ??!!?!?), but worked quickly and efficiently. They excavated and leveled the entire backyard and driveway & dug the trenches for the drains. Had a little bit of a hiccup when it came to laying out the drainage system but they got it fixed quickly to make sure the entire area was graded correctly to the appropriate drain in order for the yard last for a long time with little if any future problems. The owner, Junior, even came out to inspect the project sensing our concern. Never did they make it seem like we were a hassle, they acknowledged we are homeowners who care about our home and want things done right. The entire team takes pride in their work and having satisfied customers. Fabio is a master craftsman. Fabio & the team made sure things were aligned just right, had clean cuts and minimal gaps. Fabio made sure the sitting walls were the exact height we wanted & placed in the perfect spots to visually look appealing from any vantage point of the yard. We had them add some low-voltage lighting under the sitting walls and in-ground lights to illuminate the driveway - feels safer and looks good, too! Update: Since the review, the company reached out and they started the project on Aug 17th, the 3rd start date vs pushing it back until the 21st. Even though I appreciated Junior (the owner) reaching out to us and trying to make things right, I felt that I had to complain to get attention on my project. This isn't what a customer wants to do. We don't want to make a big stink just to get a company to adhere to a commitment they committed to. I can understand 1 delay due to material or personnel issues, but 3 delays are a bit excessive. By that time, you've lost the trust of the customer. We had continued issues with communicating with the company. Throughout the project, details were missed. I had to point out that the layout differed from the design, incorrect materials were sent, and the sub-contractors weren't effectively communicated to/with by the company. The quality of work by the sub-contractors were great. I am satisfied with the outcome of my pavement. I understand summers can be busy for the company and hope they better manage their customer relationships, sub-contractor relationships, and project management in the future for other clients. To the company's credit, Junior took a great interest to make up for the issues and it's why I upgraded my rating. He acknowledged our experience with his company and tried to make things right which did make us feel more valued as a customer than before. read more

Updating my rating as Junior who is the owner reached out to make things right. They ended up doing more than what was originally agreed to as a way to show their ethic which I sincerely appreciate. They did an absolutely beautiful job and I hope and believe Junior is addressing the concerns we had so they don't happen again. I would recommend them, just be diligent about your expectations. We are still in the process of our project being done and although they do good work, the process has been super frustrating. I realize it's summer and things are busy but you should take that into account when you quote projects and completion dates. We are a week past the completion date on our contract and the second crew we have doing the landscape/irrigation work doesn't seem to have a good work ethic (showing up at 4:00 and working an hour before leaving for the day). Who knows at this rate when they will be done. I'm very happy with the crew that did the paver install. They worked their butts off and did great work. In hindsight we should have left the project there and hired a landscaping company to do the rest especially for the price. So I guess that's my advice is let them do the pavers but call it there with them and go elsewhere for the rest. Oh and don't expect them to communicate delays or updates. read more
