Bayside Pavers was fantastic to work with! I was referred to by Kris Lee from a friend who had used Bayside to transform their backyard. For my project we were looking to replace our yucky inconsistent crabgrass lawn area with artificial grass. Kris came out to walk through our project late last year and quickly came back with a beautiful design and bid. I had received a few other bids, but Kris's design was by far the most thoughtful and gave my kids more square footage of play area. I had to put the project on hold in January due to some life factors, but called him back in early Feb to get going. Kris quickly came back out with samples, confirmed the project design and price and about a week later the project started! Kris brought the 2 Project Managers over in person to meet me a few days before we started. Pablo managed the project on side and great to work with. His crew was friendly, respectful of our space, (cleaning up each night, closing our gates, taking away trash) and super efficient! So there are a LOT of options in the area for pavers. A lot. And, after doing exhaustive research, we discovered a lot of strong options to replace our sad, failing pool deck and upper patio. If you want quality work that will last, go with another contractor. This company, among others, are the reason I stopped paying contractors to do work. I could have done a better job just by following a how to video on YouTube. When the stacked stone started falling off our BBQ island less than a year after being installed, they came back to "fix" it. Their fix was to apply construction adhesive to the already dried mortar that was attached to the back of the stacked stone. We only recently discovered this band-aid fix when the stones started becoming loose and falling off again. They also never came back to seal our pavers as promised and all the polymeric sand is now almost all gone. Terrible company and terrible work ethic. read more

We are SO happy with Bayside Pavers and the work they did for us at our house in Walnut Creek! We wanted to build a new paver driveway, some pathways, and a mow strip for our front yard. After doing our backyard pavers with a different landscaper whose quality was subpar, we were very sensitive to wanting to get the front yard done right. We met with 4 different highly recommended paver contractors on Yelp and found Adriana and Bayside Pavers to be the most knowledgeable and responsive company. A couple of months ago we did some work o. Our backyard with Bayside Pavers. We wanted to remove the flower bed in the middle of our lawn, replace with turf and clean up yard with some pavers. Bayside Pavers was responsive, competitively priced and quoted me cost on the spot rather than other place that took day or even more than a week for a w quote. It about 4 - 5 weeks from signing the contract to begin work but once it started it was quick. Turf was back ordered a bit so there was a 1 week wait with just dirt in the back until we could get the materials. The yard turned out GREAT in the end and we're really happy with how useful the space is now. I'm not giving 5 stars because the workers broke a pot in our front yard (Bayside removed cost from the final bill) and there were some issues with pavers going all the way to the fence line. I cannot praise this company and their crews enough. We had the ugliest driveway in the universe. Cracked and missing asphalt, weeds coming up, uneven concrete walkways - it was hideous. We decided on pavers and started the estimate process. Kris came to do our estimate and right away we knew he was the real deal. He was a clear communicator, was able to work up our job outline on the spot, and, later that day we received the full, detailed estimate. We signed the contract and got on the schedule for about 6 weeks down the road. All of the crews - delivery, excavation, paver installation, and clean-up were polite, efficient, and amazingly hard working. We probably made our project manager, JR, insane with our incessant concerns about drainage, but he was patient and addressed each item. The crew made sure the driveway drains perfectly - they even ran a line beneath to put the gutter run-off into the garden and replaced the irrigation lines in the lower driveway. Today JR returned to fix the downspout as the final piece of our job. We cannot recommend this company highly enough. Great people, great work, amazing outcome. We are so very pleased! We are planning to re-do the backyard of our new home. The goal is a low maintenance yard with appealing aesthetic but we were unsure how to achieve this. The Bayside Pavers team got to work on our backyard when we decided to replace both our deck and the lawn with pavers. We needed a pretty big backyard retaining wall, about 80 feet long and three feet high, as well as drainage for the whole area. Ben, the project manager, was our North star here, patiently explaining everything to us, great bid, great work. Ben was always on hand to make sure the work was done right. Since we didn't know anything about retaining walls, this was the perfect experience for us. We had a complicated problem in our backyard, and Ben and Bayside Pavers made it all work, and it looks great, too. The crew was very skilled, working safely and efficiently. We were in desperate need of a backyard makeover after our dogs destroyed our grass leaving nothing but holes and dirt. Terrible attitude and awful customer service! This is a long story but please finish reading until the end! I interviewed many landscapers for my paver project, including Bayside Pavers. A salesman came out to look at the site and right away I felt he was a little arrogant/repellant even though he seemed to have the expertise for landscaping projects. I thought it was probably just me. After the interviews, I went with another contractor for the project because I had worked with his team before for other home projects and had very good impressions. Also he was able to squeeze me in between his projects. However, it turned out that his team do not perform landscaping projects usually and have little idea of what needs to be done. Desperately, I reached out to Bayside pavers again, hoping they would re-evaluate my project and help finish it. This salesman was really sour from the first second I called him, but I tried to ignore that because I really needed some help and I appreciated them taking my call. Before we reached any kind of agreement to finish this project, he told me I needed to get more pavers based on his cookie-cutter online calculator. However, his calculator couldn't calculate the correct amount of pavers because of limitations to the parameters. I told him I had mapped out my design in excel and literally counted every single paver I would need (the numbers are very different than what he had so I just wanted it to be looked at before I blindly go buy more pavers. Also he hadn't even talked about whether they would take on this project or not!! I didn't understand what he trying to do other than showing off his knowledge) I kindly asked him if he wanted to look at the file and calculations I have. He immediately got upset and started yelling at me, claiming: we do this everyday, the only way this works is that you do whatever we tell you to do, we don't take instructions from you. Then his sourness came through and he said this is what you get when you didn't go with us in the first place. (Now I know I was pretty right about him the first time I met him lol) Long story... but I wanted to share because I believe nobody wants to be treated so poorly because they are not as an expert in landscaping. Also I believe as clients, we should not be bullied, and our ideas and designs should be heard and considered. And this just shows how disrespectful/awful they would be when things didn't happen their way. For anyone who don't want to be manipulated and disrespected, find someone else!! read more

They gave me a great quote in comparison with a few other paving businesses and worked with my HOA's needs to provide various documents and adjustments to the paving plan to accommodate the drainage needs for our home. Once on site they made sure to confirm various details of the job and how we wanted/needed certain areas to be dealt with. We had a few areas of the job that ended up with a deviation from how we had thought the area would look and after a quick discussion they always made sure to adjust to our own taste. In August 2018, Bayside Pavers installed pavers in my patio and walkway. There were ongoing issues for which the project manager was primarily responsible. Using a different project manager, Bayside Pavers honored their guarantee and worked with me to resolve the issues. In June 2019, they removed approximately 80 percent of the pavers, dug deeper, adjusted the slope, and reinstalled the pavers. The slope had to be decreased, but it still appears to be sufficient to provide adequate drainage. The crew did excellent work with a minimum of inconvenience. We want to thank Bayside Pavers for a beautiful job installing a 1250 sq ft Paver Patio area over a 10 day period, including one Saturday. Especial thanks to Dennis and Sam who designed the layout, initiated the estimate, negotiated the Terms and Conditions, and arrived at a competitive contract. They also stayed on providing on site and on call customer support. Bayside Pavers is a family run business with effective hands on Project Management - they obviously take pride in their work and have a wonderful aesthetic sense. Collaboration with the principal owners Luiz, Adrianna, Juliano and Alex resulted in beautiful solutions to 4 step circular stair and 7 step straight stair features. They have talented craftsmen Jose and Paisco and very hard charging young workers who hauled base rock, sand, and pavers up the only access that was available. The Paver Patio went over a cracked pool that was demolished over a year before and was compacted by the heavy winter rain. We hope the GeoTextile and extra compaction using the Jumping Jack will prevent compaction under the new patio. We were not aware in advance of the amount of dust and noise generated over most of the 10 days, but the result in the end was worth it. This remodel involved removing a concrete patio and large redwood deck, addressing drainage issues (installing a french drain, running the downsprout underground, adding surface drains), installing 1000sf of Calstone 'Mission' concrete pavers, and rebuilding the patio door stoop. We can't recommend Bayside Pavers highly enough. They just completed renovation of our small patio (20' x 15'). They removed old concrete, removed existing decking material and replaced with a professional, multi-layered paving job. Our first contact was with Dennis and Sam, excellent project advisors with landscape and paving expertise and depth. Their bid was detailed and complete (as opposed to others who didn't detail specific work to be performed or by when.) They weren't the cheapest bid but we selected them because their professionalism was at higher level than other contractors. Their approach throughout and their workers were on task and customer focused; it was clear from the start that they wanted to ensure they understood our desired end results and questions and provided expertise to help us make decisions about material and design. Sam and Dennis were careful to remember what we told them about our HOA rules about noise and hours/days of construction; they told us what would happen when and set our expectations so we could advise our neighbors. They were very responsive when we had questions. They honored all commitments. Kris Lee and the entire Bayside Pavers crew were very professional. Upon accepting their quote, they informed us that work was a few weeks out. We had an event planned in our backyard a month out. I told Kris if it couldn't be done before our event, not to start the job until after. Kris assured me it would be done in time. 10 days before our event, they started demo of our backyard! Horrible experience!! This review is long overdue as there was no closure on the open issues. I had held back approximately $1,900 of the final balance, so I can have an opportunity to speak to the owner/manager from a bayside paver. The owner did not even bother come to see the final completion of the project and ask for feedback or concerns. She knew the job had lots of issues since day 1. The stucco work on the kitchen island had cracks and was told this is normal . I ended up getting the stucco work done again in May 2023 by another contractor with excellent quality. In September 2023 the city of Dublin contact me saying the permit was never issued for the gas line on the outdoor kitchen and firepit. Two days ago, I finally got around to hiring an electrician to install a transformer for the 4 lights installed Bayside installed under the pavers on the step kitchen. It turns out 2 out the 4 lights don't work either defective component or not installed properly. I informed Adrianna and no response. read more

Highly recommend Bayside Pavers. Kris came to our property to give an estimate that came in just below other paver companies that we consulted with. We did ask Bayside to go a bit outside their box of a normal install, but they were up to the challenge and things turned out beautifully. There were a few hiccups here and there, which I would expect during a substantial remodel that included many moving parts, but Kris and his team took care of things. Kris says, 'we just want you to be happy' and we are! If we have any other paver needs, Bayside and Kris will be who we will go to first. read more
