I brought my 13‑year‑old dog in for an exam. He has a heart murmur and early kidney disease, but he is stable on medication, eating well, and doing well for his age. I chose this clinic because it advertises a family‑owned, fear-free experience, exactly what I wanted for a senior dog. Unfortunately, our visit was the opposite of fear-free. The vet came into the room without having fully reviewed his cardiology report or medical records. Within minutes, she told me (very bluntly and without context) that his heart was failing and he might have "around 18 months." This was based solely on a single in‑office exam of a nervous, shaking senior dog. It was extremely distressing, especially because she delivered it in a matter‑of‑fact tone with no empathy or reassurance. The appointment also felt rushed. Her vet tech had mentioned she was leaving for vacation the next day and we were her last appointment of the day and the entire interaction reflected that urgency. Despite how visibly upset I was, the vet continued with worst‑case scenarios, including telling me that at some point I would have to choose between protecting his heart or his kidneys. She then told me she couldn't help us any further and referred us to MedVet in Dallas, framing it as if he needed specialist, end‑of‑life management. Hearing that, without a full review of his records and without any compassion, was devastating and completely unnecessary. After the appointment, I confirmed with his cardiologist and primary vet that her assessment did not match his actual condition or prognosis. The emotional impact of that visit was significant and avoidable with proper preparation and communication. I'm giving 2 stars only because the front desk staff was kind and the office is clean and modern. But based on our experience, I cannot recommend this clinic for senior pets or for anyone seeking a thoughtful, fear-free approach. read more

Visited this location for the very first time upon finding positive reviews on Google and Yelp. The office is a bit older on the outside and inside but very beautifully designed. Everyone seemed very friendly including the staff and the veterinarian. We came here since Sera my dog was struggling with walking specially on her back legs and experiencing some weakness. The doctor explained the process in detail to us and different options of therapy that can be provided such as laser therapy and water therapy. I really appreciated all the info, the kindness of the office staff, and really hoping the therapy will improve my dog's condition. read more

Dr. Lauren and Daniel Anthony worked endlessly around our case- Along with Dr.Hartman- The staff at Atlas ultimately needed to amputate one of my pets hind limbs. Not only did they provide the most excellent patient care, They made me feel confident and comfortable with the recommended treatment. I found a very sick kitten last summer. And then I found her brother. He was doing pretty well, but she never was thriving. She struggled to gain weight and keep food down. After trying a couple vets in Dallas, the urgent care vet referred me to Atlas for specialty support. We were there a lot and while we made progress, her bloodwork was still not great. And then her brother randomly got fluid in his belly. They were great about seeing me ASAP the week before a holiday and diagnosed him with FIP. They worked to get him medication that day from a local pharmacy on a weekend too. Unfortunately, FIP is still very fatal and he passed away a few days later. They were so kind when I told them. After his sister kept throwing up, we decided to treat her for FIP too. And she ended up doing so well! FIP only got an approved treatment last year, so many vets are not experienced with it. But Dr. (Daniel) Anthony was good about checking her progress and working with me on the most cost effective way to handle the many vet visits and lab work. I'm happy to share that she's officially cleared FIP treatment and observation protocol and she finally had normal bloodwork last month. She is super playful and loved to torment her big cat brother. We held off on her vaccines and spay because of everything, but she will be going to them next month for this too. I never have to wait long once I arrive and the front desk is always friendly. I'm not sure I'll be able to keep going for her regular visits since I live in South Dallas and the trek to Frisco is a lot, but their Saturday hours are a savior and if I lived closer, I'd stay a client forever. read more

They got him Out of pain , sent a step by step after surgery care plan that included what to expect each week and what to do for after surgery care . The attention to detail was like none I had ever received before , now I take my dogs and cats here all of them ! We liked one of the doctors and did not care for the other. We got us was being charged over $60.00 for a nail trim. This is highway robbery. We have never been charged anywhere near that for a trim. I brought my Malinois in for a spay and my experience was excellent. Alex and Kelly helped me schedule my appointment and were very flexible with me and my schedule. Very pleasant on the phone and very efficient. When I got to my appointment, Jennifer was my tech and she was thorough in getting my dogs medical history and explaining any risks that could happen during surgery - again very pleasant and effective. Dr. Dan was amazing and did an incredible job with the spay. He was kind, thorough, and talked me through any questions I had - even though my pup was being a little rude to him. Cassidy was the tech I talked to at discharge and she talked me through post-op care and medications. She was thorough and clear with all of her explanations and was very sweet.
